Camping World - Worst Service Department - McGeorge in Ashland, VA

1.3
Details
We took our RV into McGeorge in Ashland, VA in May to have 3 of the side panels repaired. We were told in early July that one of the new doors had come in damaged from the manufacturer and one was missing so they would need to reorder. We were then told in August that the body shop could just repair the damaged door that was received. In September we were told that they were ordering two new doors from the manufacturer and it would be another month before the repairs were completed. We were not able to use our RV all summer and now it looks like we won't be able to use it for our fall vacation which was planned for early October. Our insurance company paid McGeorge in June for the repairs! We've left 3 messages for the General Manager and she has not returned any of our phone calls. We've left 2 messages for the Service Manager and he has not returned any of our phone calls. We've left numerous messages with the Service Representative and never get a return phone call. I emailed Camping World's Complaint Department and did not receive any response. At this point, I have zero confidence in McGeorge's ability to complete this repair. We will never take our RV here for service again.

Camping World in Ashland, Virginia - 20017 keystone

1.0
Details
Bought my first camper from Camping world Ashland Va. 2017 keystone in the spring of 2018 I found a roof sheet lifting and the fasteners found there way through the roofing membrane. I took camper down to have a state insp. and a roof inspection done . I had placed 3- 3x3 pc of dark gray duck tape on the roof. The service righter told me at first that the roof looked great. after I called her on her lie she was very snooty so I asked to speak to service manager and was told he was not in. I left w/ camper and called the next day and was asked to send picks in to have unit warrantied. the technician and the manager agreed that the roof was a manufactures flaw but it was never warrantied by Keystone nor was I helped much by the camping world staff. I had to call Keystone myself and was refused warranty because they stated there was a puncture. well no *** all *** holes and will never buy another camper again if I have to buy a Keystone or anything from Cramping world Wtf

Camping World in Manassas, Virginia - Service. Buy here service here. Shop local

Made appointment for service in manassas va location. Held my camper for 2 months. Called after one month. No record they had camper not even in there system. Called a month later. They had no ideas or projection when it would be ready. I advised them I was on way to pickup. When I got there There was another customer who purchased from the same location. He indicated his camper had been in shop for two months after purchase and not even a courtesy call with updated status. Another customer was in parking lot jelling he was sold a used rv as new. This is one of the three dealers Camping World purchased to capture the VA market. These are the same dealers when I was looking to purchase proudly proclaimed buy here service here others need not apply. They should perge this attitude or employees. At least retrain to a standard of service. No initiative or concern of customer service. No general manager on site.

Camping World in Manassas, Virginia - Poor Customer Services

My rating drops to a 1 star due to the poorest customer service ever!!! After the purchase of this motor home $96,000, we lost 3 refrigerators full of food. After the all three camping trips to different locations, using gas and electric the beautiful $2000 refrigerator failed. We brought the motor home back to Camping World for repair each time and each time being told it was fixed. The last time being told the part - the cooling unit was completely replaced. They lied. We brought the unit to a different RV repair that contacted the warranty dept of the unit and found that nothing was ever replaced through them. I will never bring my unit to them for repair again. You lost all my trust!! I lost confidence in any work that may be completed by this store. This was previously a 5 star as the sales team was great. Everything after we purchased (Oct 2017) was terrible. No call backs, no updates, movement at a snails pace, and lies. :(

Camping World in Thornburg, Virginia - The worst I have ever exspenced

2.0
Details
I bought my 2016 Rockwood Roo from Camping World in Thornburg in June of 2017. The converter and the microwave blew on our 2nd camping trip. We purchased a 4 year warrenty with it. They had the camper for a week and never even looked at it. The 2nd week we called and they said yes it needed a converter and a microwave. The 3rd week we called they never even ordered the parts and told us we had to pay for the shipping of the parts and it xould take 3 to 4 weeks to het it in . Needless to say we are going to pick the camper up amd make the repairs our self. I am so dissapointed. Spend all that money and they have had it 3 weeks and tell us we have to pay for shipping. They are a terriable place to deal with

Camping World in Roanoke, Virginia - Very poor sevice

1.0
Details
I drove my RV to Camping World of Roanoke to get a waste pump fixed. At the service desk, they told me if I joined the Good Sam's Club, I would receive 25% off labor and parts. They said labor was $125 an hour, gezz, so I said OK and they escorted me to the front to buy a membership. So far so good; but that was the end of good!! The repair took 4 hours, but it was there over a month. They never returned my calls; you could say they had poor communication; but that would imply there was some communication, along the way. Finally, I got a call and it was ready-- great. I went out to pick it up and was presented with a bill that was about 36% over the estimate. Upon examination, I saw there was no promised discount of 25% anywhere, and I had been charged about $80 for a BS supply surcharge--this was not in the original estimate either. I questioned the person, and I could tell she was very uncomfortable about the bill. She stated that the computer made the decisions about the Good Sam's discounts, not her. She was the same person that sold me the membership and offered the 25% discount to start with; I guess the computer changed its and her mind. Exasperated, I asked for the keys and the RV. She gave me the keys and pointed down the road to a muddy unimproved grassy lot. I waded through 5 inches of mud to get the RV and initially got stuck. There was a full concrete curb I had to drive over to get out, which scrapped my undercarriage. One *** of a mess- adding insult to injury. After I cooled off for a couple of days, I called the service manager and left detailed messages 3 times; he never returned my call. So it looks like I made 2 mistakes--using Camping World and buying that membership. Now. I receive flyers from Camping World and Good Sam's on a regular basis; they just remind me of my horrible experience and raise my blood pressure!!!! Never Again.

Camping World in Keysville, Virginia - Poor Service, Incomplete Work

1.5
Details

Update by user Apr 14, 2016

Bought a used motorhome in January, 2016. Within two weeks, I took it back to have things fixed that were supposed to work already, including both convex drivers mirrors were loose and falling off.

Was charged $129 to fix the antenna up indicator, $129 to fix an engine antifreeze leak, among other more expensive repairs.

Neither of these items were fixed; I found and fixed the antifreeze leak by tightening a hose clamp, and am ignoring the antenna up indicator. Then, when I went to flush the hot water tank, I found that it had been full of water during the frigid months. After cleaning it out and replacing the anode, I connected water only to see it running out of the coach along the slides. Investigation found that the coupling nut on the kitchen sink was broken and thus had run water thru the unit.

On the way to Camping World again, the driver’s side convex mirror fell off into the road, another repair that didn't happen correctly. Camping World charged me $23 for the nut and another $129 to "water test" the unit.

When I complained to the manager about the $129 water test, he said that their sales work order in January said to de-winterize it and indicated that the damage must have been from that. I informed him that I had not asked to have it de-winterized, but he ignored me and said I had to pay the full bill. This was on Friday.

The following Wednesday, I connected water to the coach to test the hot water heater.

When I turned on several faucets, antifreeze flowed from them...so much for having de-winterized the coach.

Worst, I found water dripping from the sides of the coach...yep another leak somewhere.

Now what did that $129 "water test" actually do? No more Camping World for me.
