Had a service appointment for the slides not working on a 2012 travel trailer. I had already pinpointed the problem down to the pump/motor.
8 days later they finally looked at it and called me on the ninth day to tell me I NEEDED a new motor/hydraulic pump. $1,500. plus freight to replace the hydraulic pump (pump $1,000 and labor $500). I thought no way!
Took it home and to make a long story short, I unscrewed 2 screws pulling the assembly and manually turned the motor. No leaks, no jams. I thought maybe its the solenoid. Ordered a solenoid online and received it two days later.
Probably spent a toal of an hour of my novice time on removing and installing everything. IT WORKS FINE!!!! CW wanted $1,500 plus freight for what amounted to a $19 solenoid and under an hour of my novice time.
ALL WORKS FINE! Crooks!
