So, so disappointed in the service dept. in both the Lafayette and Bossier City locations.
Purchased a BRAND new 2016 Heartland the end of May. The guy did our walk through in quite a hurry and didn't explain a lot of things that are more updated than our previous campers. Upon getting the unit home and taking time to start turning things on and checking to see how everything worked we started finding all sorts of problems. Mind you my husband lives in his camper for work most of the year so we have to have it in working order.
Upon calling the Lafayette location and asking for our sales man, Heath, all his response to the long list of issues was "I hate that"..... Seriously dude??? He puts us through to the service dept who would not answer nor return the NUMEROUS messages we left. After numerous calls and finally having to get ugly with the poor gal that answered the phone, she found someone to talk to us.
They said it'd be a couple of weeks before they could get it in to fix what needed to be fixed on the BRAND NEW unit. That guy, Andy, finally put us in touch with the Bossier location and they got us in the next day and fixed the FIRST list of repairs except the molding that had to be ordered. Was told molding would be ordered that day and would let us know when it came in. 6 week later when husband comes home from his job, the automatic Jack/leveling system will not work and is stuck on the truck.
Of course neither location will return calls once again. Finally get the bossier service manager on the phone and says bring it the next day. So I drive 2 1/2 hours to bring camper and was told it would be put in the shop THAT day because they j ew my husband had to have it back for work. A week later we have not heard from them.
Finally again get someone to return calls oh to be told they have to wait on warranty approval before they can begin work. What?!?! You said it was going on the shop THAT DAY!!!!!! Also the molding that was "ordered", was not.
So we were lied to, avoided and overall Camping World is the absolute WORST place to deal with.
My attorney is already drafting a letter to them and they can shove this camper where the sun doesn't shine. So sick of dealing with them over a brand new, under warranty unit.
