We took delivery of a camper..just to be called 6 weeks later to say the financing didn't go through. They were quick to refund our down payment.
However, when I told the store manager that we had purchased quite a few extras for the new camper. Some of which we had already installed. He said that was not a problem. He would cut me a check, if I had the receipt.
I supplied the receipt, and have contacted the manager 4 times in the last month. He tells me that he will work on it. Either refund my $300 or give me back the things that I purchased. And the items were purchased at Camping World.
When I looked at my credit report, as to why the financing didn't go through..I discovered they must have done a mass finance application, as I had 15 hits on my credit in a 2 week span.
Thus lowering my credit score. My next step will be with the Better Business Bureau.
Monetary Loss: $300.
