Camping World in Greenwood, Indiana - The Worst RV Company EVER

We bought our RV from Camping World and thought it would be great to get things fixed at Camping World. They ripped us off for over $12,000 for repairs that were not made and some that were done totally wrong. After keeping our RV for over a month, acted like we rushed them to fix it. I went to my credit card company and requested 1/2 of my money back from the $12,000 we paid back and sent pictures, and a very detailed report of what happened, with dates and times and people's names. I even went in and sat down with the service manager that reminded me of a polished used car salesman. I am so disappointed with Camping World and how they took advantage of us as new RV owners. I don't know how they are still in business except that they prey on new RV buyers who don't know about them. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and intend to post everywhere I can on social media and everyone I talk to about Camping World. They are a TOTAL ripoff in every way shape and form.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a joke. They get your hopes up, make it seem like you are getting some amazing deal (when you can find the exact same if not better campers at other dealers for cheaper). Also, they are not transparent AT ALL about their financing process and lie to you. Make you feel like all is well and everything will be great when in fact it is not. The Indy location had me fill out a "Sold" sign, slap it on the camper, and take pictures of my "new baby" and then ignored me for 6 days. Once I emailed corporate I FINALLY got a response back and it was only to tell me that the things that were told to me on a Saturday couldn't have even been true because the banks weren't even open so there's no way WILL CARY OR ZACH MCVICKER could have possibly known the things they were telling me. I am glad this fell apart because at least now I can go somewhere else that won't screw me over or lie to me. Stay away from Camping World Greenwood unless you like this sort of thing. And before corporate gets on here saying they would like to hear more from me regarding this issue, I already emailed csteam@campingworld.com. I got the email address from all the other horrible reviews on here.

I purchased a new rv from camping world in Greenwood Indiana on May 10 2018 which was one week ago today. As soon as I arrived home with my new camper I very quickly found many issues. Water leaks, (inside and out) flooring coming up, trim misssing in spots around cabinets and I had drug my wiring between my tailights most of the way home because it was never attached properly. I decided to call the general manager and state my issues and that has been 6 days ago. My wife and I have called, left voicemails, and emails and still nothing. This is the worst service and dealership I have ever been involved with. I would strongly suggest if your in the market for a new camper or used camper to go anywhere but camping world in Greenwood Indiana. Very disappointed! Don't make the same mistake we did.

Don’t buy here worst workmanship ever. Bought 2019 had 11 days sent back for warranty work been 90 day still don’t have unit.

Was a lemon The service dept keep say they are waiting on parts. ???? If this is a 2019 I haven’t figured out why you can get parts.

They are making units daily so what’s problem. No answer.

When we agreed on what camper we wanted,it was a deal ok,we noticed some things wrong with,minor stuff,they said give them 1 week to fix problems,no big deal,a week later we did a final walk through and it wasn't the camper we bought,sales lady said yes it is,no it isn't we replied,our couch was creme and there was no washer/dryer in this unit so they realized they made a mistake,ok so they took us to our camper and of coarse the problems we noticed never got fixed,so we agreed to bring it back toward end of year to get fixed,no problem they said,we dropped it off in early October to take care of those issues and warranty issues,there was a bubble intruding out on front cap,was told it was a factory defect,warranty would fixit,ok piece of trim bowed out by fridge,warranty would handle it,and a seal on door,all of this was covered under warranty,2 weeks later they called and said we have a problem,the yard guy was moving it into building and hit a pole,I said stuff happens just fix it,we was told passenger side lower skirting was damaged,so we called several times to our advisor,well no one called us back,finally got ohold of someone,your server advisor doesn't work here no more,what was the issue with your camper,I said are you kidding me,so we told them the whole story over again,they called us in January said it was done,when we got there we waited 1.5 hours our camper was still not pulled around yet,then they took us to it,well all the warranty work was not fixed,the trim piece was stapled in,you could see the staples they wasn't even in all the way and they was exposed,and the wood trim was scraped on ground or something,it was worse after they fixed it,the front cap was repaired and it still has a bump sticking out,we was told originally that the passenger side got it hit,come to find out it was the drivers side,we have pics of damage,they put the wrong decal on it,ours was creme the one they put on was white,they said we didn't even fix that side,here is a pic of it,she said your right,there was overspray and glue on the side they replaced,and our door handle step was hanging off,it wasn't like that we said,here is a pic that's not even our handle,so we left it there and rick the service manager said he will personally handle this camper give him 2 weeks it would be done,month later I called,well guess what,rick no longer works there,2 service favors,1 service manager who we was dealing with no longer works there,you know what camping world you can keep my camper it's time for legal action,I've had enough,I would never ever recommend this place to know one,this is our 3rd new camper within 5 years and to get treated like this is disgusting

Camping World worst service I’ve ever seen Indianapolis
On July 26th I sent an email to the Indianapolis Camping World to resolve my warranty issues. In August I sent them another email to confirm that they would take care of my issues. One light bulb out, a usb plug didn’t work, my heater didn’t work and a peice of trim was cracked. I delivered it to them on October 26th 2017 on November 30thi was told it was done. ( 34 days to fix something and all of the parts were there) when I arrived at the store to pick up my camper. I noticed the spare tire cover was ripped and the spare tire was loose and almost falling off. They lifted the unit up so high and drug it across the parking lot bending the entire spare tire holder. Then denied that they did anything. They tried to tell me that they put a new tire on the unit and a new spare tire holder. This is not true. We looked at the pictures from the day it happened and they used the same tire. When I arrived home I noticed that they didn’t actually complete all of the repairs.

Camping World in Greenwood, Indiana - Awning Repair

Making a long story short. I have a 2012 Palomino Puma with an electric awning. Last May the wind caught it and damaged it enough to make it very difficult to close. Called insurance company, they said get estimate. Purchased camper at Raper RV which is now CW. Took camper to CW in Greenwood on June 15th. After taking ins co and CW almost 5 weeks to get a price settled, finally sent me the check to get repaired. CW ordered awning to replaced damaged one around end of July. Received parts August 11th, called me August 21st, wrong parts. Now they tell me early next week (29th?). Have had camper 10 weeks today to replace an electric awning.

We have had norhing but headaches since we purchased a new but previous model year class a rv we thought was a deal, now we know we paid too much, and they took advantage of our newbie status. Get a really good inspector to find the problems they won't tell you about, don't believe a word Bobby Lee says and get everything in writing, research the price, and don't leave the lot until every issue is resolved; better yet, find a more reputable dealer, we learned this tbe hard way, check the reviews and believe them. No dealer should sell you a coach with bad batteries, an ac vent that doesn't work at all, a generator with 34 hours on it, a door in severe need of adjustment, a water heater that needs repair one month out. I can blame the ac vent on the manufacturer, the rest was their lack of care of the rv; also they are sloppy, they fixed molding that fell off and got glue all over our counter. One month out we have no hot water and they don't care. Their service is always packed, I can see why. Your warranty will pay for damages they are responsible for, but they take responsibility for nothing. My best advice is run, don't walk in the other direction. I wish I had bothered to read reviews before I bought from this place.

We recently purchased a used 2011 coachmen pop up from Camping World in Greenwood. While we were looking at it, we noticed that one of the compartments was locked and there was not a battery installed. We were unable to look in the compartment and try the lights, but being a reputable camper dealer, we assumed that the basic functions of the camper would be in working order. Between when we made our deposit and when we came to pick up the camper, it had rained. We were met with extreme resistance at our request to open the camper up and check for water. We noticed that they had not properly sealed up the camper in the parking lot after we looked at it and we were worried about moisture. After half an hour, they finally agreed to let us see inside. We gave it a quick glance and brought it home. After we got it home, my husband started to work on it. He installed a battery only to have it arc and blow a fuse. The wires were chewed through. He also noticed that the initially locked compartment has a rotting floor starting in the main storage compartment going back into the living space. The floor is rotten and needs to be replaced. The pop up is dangerous and unusable. Our youngest child, and primary reason we purchased the pop up, is a medically complex child with chronic lung disease among serious diagnosis. A simple cold can admit her to the hospital. I can't image what a reaction to a rotting, possible mold situation would do to her. My husband has reached out to sales person Dannie K, and his manager, Jeff M, several times over the past two days. Neither has returned a single phone call. They were dishonest and sold us a possibly life threatening product. We wanted to give them a chance to make this situation right before we pursued other options but they don't seem interested in speaking to us.
