Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Learn from our experience with this dealer

Brought our 2007 Fleetwood Bounder in for service work. I won’t burden everyone with the details, but will say 5 months after dropping off we picked up our RV with nothing accomplished by this dealers service department staff. The key takeaway is that we experienced very poor communication on the status of the repair attempts from camping world of Macon service department. We had to call in several occasions in order to get updates. Spotty at best in their courtesy to return our calls at all. Also experienced employee turnover in the 5 month period that resulted in us working with 3 different service advisors managing our service work. In addition, no one in the service department seems to be willing to take ownership of the communication problems, or customer experience at this dealership. In my work profession of over 25 years working with various automotive dealerships (car, truck, bus) as a dealership operations consultant, I have never come across a service department with such poor customer handling processes. In fact this dealership really doesn’t have processes in place at all. For those potential customers looking to do business with this dealer, their lack of processes falls squarely on the shoulders of the service manager and dealer principle (i.e. owner). The lack of customer handling process means the chance that you will have a poor service experience is much higher than normal. Based on the number of service department complaints on this site alone is evidence. Needless to say we will never visit this dealership again. Do Shocked your due dilegence before you trust these guys with your RV investment. Shocked

Camping World in Duluth, Georgia - Service department is not so great!!

I called about issues with my brand new camper. An outside speaker was not working. They had to order one. Two lights not working inside. They can't order parts until they diagnose it. Bad battery. Drips from vents. One door pulled paint off of when they pulled the sticker off. They sent the door for me to install. ( I guess) I am not doing it. Lose trim. Service representative not so friendly. Kept interrupting me when I was trying to tell him everything. He said he was not my service rep. Mine was out all week. Really? I will be looking for another place to get my camper serviced. Camping World service department (even though they have a new service manager) it not very good. I was told they have 4 service reps and they each have over 100 customers. I thought we are all their customers! Guess not!!!

I bought a camper in april 2017, first trip heat went out, sec time A/c went out, 3rd thermostat was not wired, 4 th time hot water heater went out, 5th time Ac had recall, 7 wks later got it back. carried it back ac rattles they said it was a recall, the same recall they just fixed. Carried it back ac leaking on bed condensation was not draining on ground. 6 wks later, get this, he called and said he let it run for hours no leaks I said its not running out on ground he no. I said thats the problem its surposed to leak on ground, how stupid can u get where do u think the condensations was going. After calling 3wks no return calls I found some great people that took it in on a trade for a new one something i ask them to do repeated, of course no help. Out of 16 months they had it 6 months and charged me for repairs. YALL KEEP SELLING MEMORIES MY CASE NIGHTMARES!!!! I think yall owe me for all the great trips I missed out on! Oh custermer service sucks! Oakwood,Ga.

I am very disappointed in Camping World in Calera, Alabama. I took my camper to them around July 14th for fire damage. I expressed my feelings of how excited they excepted to work on my camper. I also told them I already had a Camping trip planned for late October and they said no problem. So my camper is still sitting in there lot. They have had every excuse from my insurance was helping and my insurance has called and called trying to get this matter settled. I was told my camper would be the next one in on September 24 by September 25 and they denied that they told me that. My insurance State Farm sent check over 3 weeks ago. I really upset with Camping World in Calera, Alabama. I dropped by last Monday and Camping looks so nasty I couldn’t even get in it. Just don’t know where to turn or who to turn too. Please help !!!

I have had outrageous problems with the CW in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I will post a FULL “review” after they repair the damage THEY did to my fifth wheel inside and out, which was done last year.

Plus numerous things that were supposed to be done while still under warranty. Instead of completing all the repairs, they chose to kept my RV from November until March this year. Warranty expired March 31,2018. Now they say they won’t do anything except the damage they did to outside of RV, bc warranty expired.

We’re giving them one last chance to finish all repairs and damages they caused. We’re still camping in Alabama because the rear AC leaked water onto our bed and on our bed and tv. Both are under the return air vents. CW refuses to do anything thing!

Even though this problem start the very first night we took possession. It’s happened at least 3-4 times and we took it in for repair. Problem has never been resolved. Call your state attorney general’s office.

They helped me last year. Looks like I’ll be calling them again.

Camping World in Rome, Georgia - Don't buy or service here! Posted on their site a month ago!

Dropped my motorhome off in Woodstock 7 weeks ago for a recall and minor warranty work, picked up today and nothing has been done NOTHING!!! I don't understand why in almost 2 months they can't get parts for a shower door recall and according to the recall takes 15 minutes to fix or can't get pricing to do warranty work????? And I can't keep running it back and forth as I do have a job and live over an hour away. Sold me the motorhome got my money bought top of the line extended warranty and now can't get anything fixed. Update: Now the day after picking it up they have pricing and the $8000 take care of anything warranty won't cover anything so now they want $1200 ++ to reseal shower and tack a trim piece in the master bedrom, now they want a diagnostic fee, and still do not know anything about the recall. Glad I didn't need anything major. Don't take your coach to this place or buy from Camping World for that fact! They have no clue!!! Worst experience ever!

It all started the week before Memorial Day weekend. We purchase a 2016 40 foot forest river sabre fifth wheel. We went to orientation told all issues would be fixed we bring unit home plug it up rear a/c not working bed room light not working. Remotes they were to replace batteries in didn’t even have batteries! All lights left on propane left on fridge automatically switches from electric to propane . When unplugged.Grey water not emptied . Take back for ac and other problems miss Memorial Day weekend camping. Finally got to go 4 th July tolet not working water leak awning lights not working take back again. Finally told everything is fixed go to pick up get home fifth wheel hitch that purchase same time as camper fails bends bed of truck Reese hitch says they will fix rails but not truck camping World whom installed hitch tries hitch sees it do same thing as with me tells me it is my problem camping World is just in it for sales not service they will leave you high and dry sales manager Lamont Browning is responsible for this

Purchased a brand new Forest River Vengeance toy houler from these people last year. They have had my unit in their shop for repairs as long as I've have had the unit at home. Still needs repairs and I can't even get the store manager Marvin Humphries to return a call after leaving numerous messages. Recently picked my unit up from a tank repair and this is what I get before I get home. Check out the pictures. They just cut the under pinning and taped it back. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE CAMPING WORLD FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

WE also live in Byron ga...feel your pain! In April we bought a NEW 2018 Jayco Eagle camped in it three times.

One problem after another slides don't work had to push them in by hand on first camping trip. Camping World said they replaced the motor. next trip took back now it needs another motor on both slides. also air cond.

in bedroom doesn't work! On a very hot trip to Fl. New 2018 Jayco back in shop for these repairs for two weeks. I would like to make res.

for the mts in Sept. It is a SHAME to pay for a camper that campingworld keeps more than us. More problems too many to list. IS THERE ANYTHING PEOPLE CAN DO ABOUT THESE LEMON CAMPERS?

From my understanding there is no lemon law in Ga. So sad u retire to put up with this crap.

Do NOT trust these people. They charged me $561 for diagnostic work, with repairing very few things. And, they said they repaired lights when they did not. Go to another RV service provider. BEWARE!! Never again. The service manager LIED to me. They would not fix what they said they had done. but it was not working. We have never been treated so poorly. Do NOT buy the extended warranty ($1,000+), as it covers almost Nothing. Bob R. Camping world Woodstock Ga The absolute worst service department in the RV industry. The service manager was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. They have had my RV for 5 months and not fixed yet. Getting info out of them is worse than pulling teeth. I’m glad I didn’t purchase my RV from them.
