Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Purchased extended warranty

When we purchased our trailer 12/21/15 we purchased the extended warranty and were told that it covered everything that the original warranty covered. Everything was to be covered except the tires and wheels. When the laminate started peeling off the counter top/table/vanity top/ side tables by bed we took the unit in and at that time they replaced the counter and table tops. I took it back to have the other tops replaced and was told that it was out of warranty and that the extended warranty only covered mechanical and electrical issues.................We paid $1,800 plus for this warranty.

Do not purchase from camping world in Byron! We have had the worse experience!!!! We purchased our new Salem camper on Dec 8,2019. At first sales person was great. I did tell him our budget but the first one he took us in, way over budget, and of course, that’s the one we bought. First lesson learned is to not look above your budget. Then we were there from around 1230pm til after 6 pm. They had an excuse that their computers were down. After we signed all the papers, they did a really quick 5 min walk thru because everyone was gone for the day. As a matter of fact, the guy that walked us thru got two phone calls and he was in a hurry. It was dark, cold and pouring down rain. They gave us two umbrellas and left us. Thank goodness my husband knows what to do. He had to hook it up by himself in the pouring rain. Then we left! Second lesson is to not purchase anything late in the day. Now there was a few things that needed to be repaired like dents in fridge door, insulation showing underneath, carpet stain, cushions on couch need Velcro. Plus it was suppose to have two big gas tanks. Well we get home and it had small gas tanks. They had to order fridge door. Finally after calling several times, the door came in March 2019. We took it back to get it replaced along with the other issues fixed and TVs hung. They said it would take 2-3 days. Three weeks later my husband calls to check on it and they said it’s been ready but no one called us. So we scheduled an appt at 2pm today to do a good walk thru and pick it up. We get here at two and we were told they just made a sale and the sale has priority walk thru so we had to wait but we could go look at it. We go look and the fridge door is still not replaced, the insulation still showing, the seal in window still out. Worse experience!!! More excuses!!! Never again! If we could get a refund we would!!! Third lesson learned is to not buy from camping world again!!!!

Brought our 2007 Fleetwood Bounder in for service work. I won’t burden everyone with the details, but will say 5 months after dropping off we picked up our RV with nothing accomplished by this dealers service department staff. The key takeaway is that we experienced very poor communication on the status of the repair attempts from camping world of Macon service department. We had to call in several occasions in order to get updates. Spotty at best in their courtesy to return our calls at all. Also experienced employee turnover in the 5 month period that resulted in us working with 3 different service advisors managing our service work. In addition, no one in the service department seems to be willing to take ownership of the communication problems, or customer experience at this dealership. In my work profession of over 25 years working with various automotive dealerships (car, truck, bus) as a dealership operations consultant, I have never come across a service department with such poor customer handling processes. In fact this dealership really doesn’t have processes in place at all. For those potential customers looking to do business with this dealer, their lack of processes falls squarely on the shoulders of the service manager and dealer principle (i.e. owner). The lack of customer handling process means the chance that you will have a poor service experience is much higher than normal. Based on the number of service department complaints on this site alone is evidence. Needless to say we will never visit this dealership again. Do Shocked your due dilegence before you trust these guys with your RV investment. Shocked

Purchased a brand new Forest River Vengeance toy houler from these people last year. They have had my unit in their shop for repairs as long as I've have had the unit at home. Still needs repairs and I can't even get the store manager Marvin Humphries to return a call after leaving numerous messages. Recently picked my unit up from a tank repair and this is what I get before I get home. Check out the pictures. They just cut the under pinning and taped it back. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE CAMPING WORLD FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

WE also live in Byron ga...feel your pain! In April we bought a NEW 2018 Jayco Eagle camped in it three times.

One problem after another slides don't work had to push them in by hand on first camping trip. Camping World said they replaced the motor. next trip took back now it needs another motor on both slides. also air cond.

in bedroom doesn't work! On a very hot trip to Fl. New 2018 Jayco back in shop for these repairs for two weeks. I would like to make res.

for the mts in Sept. It is a SHAME to pay for a camper that campingworld keeps more than us. More problems too many to list. IS THERE ANYTHING PEOPLE CAN DO ABOUT THESE LEMON CAMPERS?

From my understanding there is no lemon law in Ga. So sad u retire to put up with this crap.

Bought 2015 rv .refrigerator didnt work was told it did.have been trying to get tag was told rv is still in someone elses name called camping world was told every thing taken care of. Went back to get tag was told its still in someone elses name called again was told tbis time that they dont have title have to send off for it. Took 3 days to get through to person in charge of titles. Have had for a month not used yet. Is there anyway to get money back? Not a happy camper at all. Thanks camping world of macon

Specially speaking of JAMIE MATHIS in Financing. After purchase ( Cash sale) Mathis on 3 occasions lied about how and when I would receive the Manufacture Origination document I needed to title and tag my purchase. Waited 3 weeks for the Doc which should have been given to me. I learned the truth after speaking to another CWorld dealer. It took a inquiry to Camping World HQ to get this idiot to get off his tail and do something. . DONT DO BUSINESS WITH BYRON GA CAMPING WORLD

I had my travel trailer repaired at Camping World's Byron, Ga. facility. I dropped it off on Jan. 3rd. 2018 for slide repairs on the living room slide. I had repairs done on this same slide in Nov. 2015, 2 weeks after I purchase the trailer from Camping World, Lake Park, Ga. I picked the trailer up om Feb. 13th, 2018 at Camping World, Byron, Ga.(6 wks. for this repair) I signed the warranty paperwork for the repair; it was over $5000 dollars! On April 1, 2018, I left on a 3 week camping trip with stops in Chapel Hill, Tn.,Westville, Il. I was packing up in Chapel Hill, Tn. on April 3. 2018 and the living room slide(same slide that had been worked on twice by $129.00 per hour tech!) would not come in. I called the nearest Camping World facility in Nashville, Tn. Talked to service about the issue. Got no help. Same with Lake Park, Ga. where I bought where I bought the trailer and last Camping world Byron, Ga. I had to abort my 3 wk. camping trip and bring the trailer back to Camping World, Byron , Ga. I am disgusted with Camping World. They have no business ripping folks off with these ridiculous prices and shoddy work. I think there is someone out there who can fix yhis slide, but it isn't Camping World. What a Shame!
