A slide out motor they installed failed after 11 months. It was under a 1 year warranty. They dragged their feet and let 1 month go by. Whoops, warranty has expired, sorry. We called them ,including the manager several times. We have spent lots of money there, but will never go back.

My RV coach batterys were not charging. I called Camping World RV Sales of Avondale, AZ, a Good Sam authorized dealer. They said, "Bring it in early". I did that the next morning as advised, arriving at or about 7:30 to 8:00 AM. I paid my bill of $541.62 and checked at...

Don't ever trust Camping World

2.3
Details
My brand new $60k+ fifth wheel started falling apart almost immediately after purchase. The Camping World service department told me that the finance manager who sold me the extended warranty lied about the ability to get mobile service at my location while I am living in the unit. The salesman ran my credit for a loan application without my permission, for an all cash purchase that I did not want a loan for. Many items which were issues during the final inspection have still not been addressed months later. Replacement parts that I was told were ordered were not ever ordered. The finance manager at one point agreed with me that I deserved a refund of the 1500 or so I paid a technician to do the setup and testing of all the systems since that obviously wasn't done, but then later said that even the best inspection can't find every problem (true of course, but in my case the kitchen drain was never connected at the factory and this flooded the hidden dead spaces below the bathroom and into the storage). At this point all calls go unanswered or I am promised a call back and don't get one.

Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Parts dept. ordered wrong topper for class A slide out, or service does not know how to properly install it after two attempts.

2.3
Details
When I needed a replacement topper for my slide out, I turned to Camping World thinking they were the best choice! I brought my motor home to them so they would be able to order the correct part. About two weeks later (8/16/17) they installed the part and I noticed it was different than the original, but thinking they knew what they were doing, I let it go. On my first outing with the new topper in place (Columbus Day weekend), I found that the topper collected copious amounts of water, making it impossible to bring in the slide without first getting up on the roof and brooming off the water! Camping world was reluctant, but did let me bring it in for an attempted re-install on 10/17/17. After 10 days, I finally got my motorhome back, HOWEVER, the problem with the water collection is still occurring. Of course, the service department and the Parts and Service Director will not acknowledge my phone calls or answer my emails!!! Looks like I am out $700 and still need to purchase a replacement that actually does the job.

Camping World in Kaysville, Utah - FREEDOM ELITE 29FE

Bought the motorhome and immediately realized it needed a second battery; no big deal as RV was already scheduled to come into service before we left the lot for bent poles that hold the scrapper mechanism on top of the slide. Took it in and they said they fixed it; when we picked it up looked the same but they are the professionals. During trip scrapper completely tore when we got back message from camping world that they never did the work because parts were still in service area. Ok, whatever... Took it in along with complaint about radio not working "crackling to point you can't use "not what you want in something you'll be putting long hours in. Also have problem with the battery switch sometimes not working which means no power to inside of RV. Checked on it after about a week and was told it was fixed "why they don't call I'll never understand". Went and got it, new scrapper was installed and they told us they replaced radio and switch fixed. Got about 2 miles and radio had same issue so turned around and took it back. Told me they'd see what was wrong after watching technician beat the *** out of the dash. Checked back after a couple of weeks "no call again" and they said it was done. Went in and they told me radio is fine as long as I only use the back speakers; explained that was unacceptable and left it there. Called numerous times to check on status over next few weeks and finally they returned a call, they usually just let it go to voice mail and never call you back. Said they found a bad speaker on drivers door but they don't know who to order it through, either ford or thor. Went and picked it up while they figured that out for next trip. After picking it up battery switch stopped working again; went on a forum and ole timer told me to rock the switch back and forth a bunch of times to see if that worked. It did....weird but RV got power and it worked fine after that. Went on next trip and wall of cabinet over fridge just fell in, then all the seals around vents fell out of channels, molding in bedroom fell off, battery switch stopped working again and water is coming into living area of RV every time it rains. So had the RV for about 7 months, only 4 camping trips, and it is complete junk. Took RV in with this list of issues only to be told the awning is not all the way retracted, I explained that we retract it but as it goes down the road it sags out about 4 inches so they told us they would fix that as well. Now the RV has been in shop for nearly 30 days during the summer "I'm in Utah" so camping season is limited due to weather for this latest list of issues. We wanted to do some rafting so went to camping world to get some items out of RV and explained we expected it back by now so we needed to get into it for items. After 30 days nothing has been touched, went back into service and they told us they are waiting on parts and get this that includes the radio speaker that was originally an issue when we first got it. They said, are your ready for this.....We have to determine who to order the speaker from, Thor or Ford. At which point we just shook our heads and walked out. Now we've had to cancel some trips due to no RV "SEEMS TO BELONG TO THEM NOW SINCE IT SPENDS MORE TIME THERE THAN ON MY PAD". Been calling all morning and nobody will return a call to let them know we have a trip next week and would like the RV we purchased back. So now I'm going to have to go in and sit across from a service guy "name is Bo" absolutely horrible and he'll tell me what another service guy once told me when I had to do same thing "our mechanics don't have computers so we'll have to go over these one at a time to figure out where we're at.

Camping World in Woodstock, Georgia - Extremely dissappointed in Service Charge as a long time customer

2.8
Details
Brought my 2010 Chalet into the shop in Woodstock Ga. Needed a skylight cover replaced. This plastic piece was $39. The service dept did not quote me a price to make this modest repair, and when it was fixed, they charge total was $392. A $39 plastic cap replacement costs roughly $400. I have asked the service manager for consideration on this charge to no avail. As a consumer, these labor charges for a simple fix is more then I pay licensed HVAC, Plumbing or engineer contractors in my business. I've bought 2 RV's and was in line for a 3rd, from this camping world. This experience is insulting and as a customer, I will not go back to Camping World as a buyer. Robert

Camping World Rv Part Replacement Review

I took my Rv in for service. They have had it for two months now to replace the thermostat and replace a couple of switches on my hot water heater. They we to run it through my extended warranty company as instructed when I brought it in. Did not call for approval. Still trying to get it back from them. Will never go there again!!

Camping World - Rv Part Replacement Review from Yonkers, New York

DONT DO IT! They are just about sales. Will give you the best deal. But even on a warranty issue, a brand new trailer has sat for two months for an a/c replacement. They even got the replacement in and turned around and sold it! Their excuses are useless. The deal was definitely not worth the aggravation. I will never return for service or sales, period.

All I can say is RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM CAMPING WORLD!!!!! They will continue to operate the way they do until the consumers say enough and go somewhere else.

You will never get an opportunity to speak with Marcus Lemonis because he will pass the buck to his yes men. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere.
