Camping World in Boise City, Idaho - Service department gone down hill

My RV is still in service department 2 weeks now for a 4 hour job. First Technician is on vacation. Now the technician who started the repair is off because of a car accident. Why don't they have someone else finish the job. Meridian Idaho service; stay away from. Used them in years past no problem Refrigerator and heater installed. New management gone bad.

They don't work like a team. Nobody knows what the other is doing.

What happened to customer service. Been an RV'er for 30 years now they act like you are at there mercy instead of happy to get your business.

Camping World is all about volume I was a high-class person until I sign the paperwork, once I got my camper I did not exist. Found a 10-page Punch-Out list of my camper issues that they knew about and still sold it to me, a brand new camper that is basically a lemon. Do not deal with camping world you are a nobody! They do not stand by their word! Forever 2 months been trying to get someone to call me, I've stopped in there, to no avail. So many issues and problems with camper that they will not resolve, again a brand new camper! Go anywhere but Camping World

Camping World in District 15, Tennessee - Great experience with CW Nashville Service Dept

I felt that I needed to say something positive amid all the negative. I had heard all of this before and was staying clear of CW until a couple of months ago. We bought a Thor Aria 3901 a year ago after a couple of years of research. We had also heard all the negative about Thor. Our experience with both has been great. Due to lack of availability, we had to buy our coach from a dealer in eastern KY, a 5 hour drive from Nashville, so getting it serviced there was impractical. No Thor dealer in our area would service it without a month or two to wait since we didn’t buy it from them (a big Thor and RV industry problem). Others would work on it if I paid myself and wouldn’t do warranty work and wait for Thor to pay them. So I used an independent shop an hour’s drive away and Thor was OK with working with them as a warranty service provider like a dealer. Then had a problem with the steps and decided to try local shops. Camping World Nashville said they could help quickly and I tried them. They fixed it while I waited! Then I had an electronics issue a couple of weeks later and they fixed it in a day. Then I had them do their 45 point check and fixed a few things this week and they finished in two days and did a great job. They are working with Thor on warranty and have done a great job. I also had a great experience at the Thor Factory Service Center in Wakarusa, IN and will be taking it back there for out of season tune ups. But CW Nashville is now my Go To for routine service. Ask for Marc or Craig and they will treat you right.

I took my 2015 Jayco in to have a roof inspection and a slide out fixed I was told after the inspection there were several cracks in the roof that needed to be repaired once I got the travel trailer back the only repairs to the roof that was done was to paint over all the caulk joints. With a rubber roof sealer that you can buy at Camping World for $68 I was charged $550 for the repair when they washed the roof before sealing the caulk joints runoff coated the sides of the camper which was left on there when I got the quote for the repairs it was explained to me that they would be removing the caulk re-ceiling the front cap that was not done the repairs were done hastily and looked like crap they left the runoff on the rubber joints around the camper They used a white sealant over the top of my grey caulk It does not look professionally done at all there was drops on top of my vent cover for my bathroom there was leaves and trash in the sealer that was painted on the caulk joints I contacted Camping World of Lake City and talked to the service manager he told me to send in pictures of my complaints since then I have called him every day for the last three days and left voice messages with my number and have not received a call back yet very poor customer service I will never take my property to any Camping World to have it serviced again

Sounds like he paid $550 for a crap job! Sounds like the service manager sucks and didn’t pick up call him because he had no excuse for horrible job! Yeah I think that’s more the ticket.

I have used Camping World for purchase and service in California and Oregon—they were great! Woodstock Camping World ranks at the bottom of all my retail service experiences. First, promised service in three weeks only to Be Well told it was an additional 3-4 weeks to access a technician; Second, Multiple miscommunications by the service associate Christina; Third, overcharged by $80.00; Frustrated by the service associate’s refusal to review the work performed.

Camping World in Hereford, Texas - Service Department is horrible

My camper was there for 5 weeks to repair a water leak. They called 3 days after having it and told me what all needed to be fixed along with other things they wanted to fix. I told them I needed prices before authorizing the service work. After 2 weeks I started calling every 2 days and would get the same thing repeatedly, "Let me check if we have the price quote and I will call you back." They never called. Finally after 33 days they called and said they had the parts. They would start working on it on Monday and have it ready the same day. So 5 weeks of it just sitting there. I have no complaints about the sales or the store but the service department will never see my business again.
