We have been looking for a RV for several years in anticipation of retiring and traveling; well that day has come and we decided on the Forest River Sierra which we found in Akron Ohio.We live in NY about 7 hours away however, decided that it was worth the trip to go and pick it up.

We put a deposit on it on 9/5 and let them know when we would be there to pick it up. We were told that it would be checked out, cleaned and ready for us when we were ready to pick it up which was 10/5 so keep in mind that they had a full month to be sure everything was good and ready to go. Needless to say it had several issues when we were being shown how to operate everything and were told that they would be taken care of that afternoon, we were then told it would be the next morning; it ended up with us being told that the issues could not be fixed at that time. One of the issues was a deep scratch in the kitchen counter top which they knew about and had ordered a new one several weeks before we came to pick it up and it was not going to be in until 10/15.

We were upset that know one bothered to call us and let us know about this or any of the other issues because had they we would have waited until the repair was done before we went to pick it up! Service told us that we had two choices: 1. leave it there and drive back out to get it when repair was done or 2. take it home and then drive it up to our nearest camping world 2 hours away to have the repair done which could take 5-6 hours or more to complete.

We went to the manager (Wade) to let him know how unhappy we were with the situation and he was the rudest, most belligerent person we have ever had the misfortune of talking to. It was obvious to us that he could care less and that we were just a nuisance to him!! He didn't know why we were so upset? Are you kidding me right now?

We ended up storming out of his office and left! We were lied to by the salesman about the repairs being done by the time we were ready to leave with it so we paid for the RV. Big mistake!!!!! Another case of "just sell it; get them out the door; and don't look back"!!

The experience took us from feeling excited to feeling cheated and lied to by camping world!!We will avoid doing business with any camping world in the future!

The most disappointing in user's experience was lack of integrity, mislead and wasted our time and incorrect information. Author liked the most price of unit. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
