Camping World in Chattanooga, Tennessee - Poor service

1.8
Details
So today my father takes two batteries to camping world and they tested bad. Simple solution give him two new batteries so he go camping this weekend. Nope camping world does not carry that brand anymore that they sold him just a few months ago. So they cant give him two equivalent batteries they have to order the exact same battery. So 5 to 10 days to get a battery. What if he was traveling and needed to get home? Camping world is just not a customer friendly environment. Im so disappointed in the service department. We will not be back they were rude and unfriendly and acted like my father was some kind of criminal.

I'm not saying that all Camping Worlds RV centers are Bad but what the camping World did to us in Sherman Texas is NOT right we were about to buy a class c motor home from them and we drove 6 hrs to get there. They had quoted us a price for a trade ( we sent pictures). But upon arriving they tried to bk out of giving what they said for the trade. ALL they had to do was ask if any thing was wrong with it we are trying to hide anything. *** I tell you DON'T Buy from these people. Camping World in Bellemont, Arizona - 2.5 Months in Shop for Warranty Issues on New Jayco Seneca

1.0
Details
Purchased new in Draper, UT and spent two weeks in it. Took unit into Bellemont, AZ facility for some small warranty issues the end of March and it is still there. Making our third payment on it today and all 90 day warranty issues are now up. Very frustrated with inability to even talk to anyone in Draper UT or Bellemont, AZ. Calls are very seldom returned. Bellemont service department is seldom available to talk to and will not return calls. Even the store manager will not return my calls. Called Draper four times in a row without getting anyone to talk to and when I asked for the general manager I was told he will not talk to me. He will refer me to the service department. Our salesman, Jerry, no longer works there. Will, Service Mgr at Bellemont has called us twice upon our request and apprised us of parts being on back order. Once in April and once in May. Both times he gave us a date we could expect to pick up our motor home and both times it has not been ready. I could understand if they were rebuilding an engine, but the repair they are currently held up on is a door latch! Please can anyone out there give us a number to a District Service Manager or anyone that will answer their phone and call us back. The receptionists are getting tired of me. Two and a half months for some small warranty issues is ridiculous. And so is selling a brand new motor home that had so many small issues in the first place! Very disappointed in Camping World. This is our third motor home purchase and the worst experience by far.

Camping World in Lake City, Florida - Bad experience

1.0
Details
I took my travel trailer to Lake City CW to consign it with CW. Paid 250 to have it checked out. I was told it needed 2500 in repairs before it could be sold. I was told the hot water heater wasnt working so it would be more than 2500 depending on what was wrong. I picked it up and checked out the hot water heater. It worked perfectly. This place is a rip off. Dont believe whatever they tell you is wrong with you RV.

Camping World - Worst buying experience ever!!!!!!!!

1.9
Details
Tried to purchase a RV. After shopping for months, negotiating a the deal for an hour and agreeing to terms on a 2019 at the Oakwood location. The salesman says the RV will arrive the next day. Then tells me it is one located in Chattanooga and its a 2018. Then says they are not the same price. Upon inspection the price on internet for the 2018 in Chattanooga was actually 4 dollars more than the 2019 at Oakwood. Also found a 2018 at another CW location that was $2000 less than before mentioned 2018 and 2019. I will not return to CW and will discourage all family, friends and fellow campers not to shop there.

Camping World in Meridian, Idaho - What a Joke

1.0
Details
We plugged in to a RV park and experienced a power surge that took out one leg of our 2003 Flletwood MH power. We were in Pendleton OR headed for a 45 day vacation to SD and Southern Utah. I called Meridain Idaho Camping World and set an appointment (this was day 1 of our trip). Arrived and was sold maintenance packages (one for bearing pack, that MH don’t need for $279). Our appointment was at 2 and we arrived at 12:30. They wouldn’t even talk to us till the 2 appt time. It was about 3 when we left to go rent hotel. Service was suppose to call us and let us know by end of day, no call. We showed up at 8 am next day and tech talked to us that they were having trouble tracking short. I joked and said my family in Idaho were electricians and should have called them. We agreed to extra money to find problem. After getting phone calls all day about unnecessary repairs they could do, finally told us at 4 (we turned down the 1600 roof maintenance, a new air conditioner, a new dry camp pump), they said the would be ready at 4 on have everything powered up and ready. We decided to keep hotel vs driving at 5 through Boise. Got up next morning after paying them $891 for service and on our way again. Got to Idaho Falls, paid $352 for spot for the Memorial Day weekend and plugged into a dead MH. Called Camping World and they said I knew it wasn’t working when we left. Why would I pay them almost $1000 plus rent hotel and pay 350 for park if I thought my MH wasn’t working? We paid another park employee 200 to attempt to fix it. After new batteries, new GFI, and transmitter switch we were able to limp home after 10 days. Camping Workd had no service and accused me of lying. My husband was furious at the way the service department talked to me. They offered 1 hr if we would come back there and let them try to find the problem. A park employee found what they could not. Couldn’t fix everything so we came home. I would have gladly paid them more money to fix first time. I don’t think they ever intended to find it. They just robbed us and sent us I. Our way knowing it wasn’t fixed. WORST PLACE in world.... Never will they get. Dine or recommend from me, in fact I will continue to tell everyone how bad they were. Manager promised a phone call after investigation, never heard from them again. What do they care, knew we were traveling, THEY DONT CARE, JUST ROB YOU, STAY AWAY FAR AWAY

Camping World in Kingston, New York - NEver dealing with this place again

Details
On june 3rd we purchased a cougar 29bhs. We were told after the purchase we would have to pick it up on June 5th or 6th as they had no other days available for a month. Upon arrival at camping world for are 9 a.m appointment we were told the finance guy(Tony) was on his way in finally at 1030 we got to go into finance. We had discussed getting a second battery on the unit so Tony went out to the garage and came back in assuring us the battery would be installed and he had gave us an extra $100 gift card for the inconvenience of us waiting around. Finally at 1 pm we received are camper hooked to the truck incorrectly. The mechanic that set the ball up had it 2.5” lower than it should have been caused g the weight distribution system to fail. I fixed the hitch myself when I got home. After another look at the camper the cord that hooks to the truck for breaks and trailer lights had tape on it. I removed the tape to find the wire was pintched and cut 3 wires inside the leed causing me to have no signal lights . After calling the dealer multiply times and leaving multiply voice mails I received a call back on June 12 th from the gm he stated I don’t know when I would be able to get anyone to ur location to fix this issue but I can just send you coed and you can install it urself. I asked about my battery and got a reply that’s what the $100 gift card was for. So my response to this nonsense was send me the cord I will pay some one to do it as it is my fault apparently and as for the battery haha we got nothing so as for now we are waiting for the cord

Customer Service is the WORST.

Ever heard that "you get what you pay for".Well not at camping world, you pay for stuff that you'll never get and never needed and anything else they can con you into. And when you get mad and complain, you'll be labeled a problem customer.

Camping World in Golden, Colorado - Worst experience EVER

1.9
Details
If you want great service and follow-up, do NOT buy your brand new RV at the Camping World in Golden. I purchase a 2017 Jayco Pinnacle, brand new in October of 2017 and it has been everything but easy form Day 1. They do not mind taking your money, but once that happens you can not expect any further assistance without a fight! The day we went in to take possession; we had an appointment at 11:00 am; but they did not meet with us until 1:30 pm. We hoped that it might have been a fluke (maybe that day was just extra busy). However, that was only the beginning of our difficulty in dealing with them. DO NOT SIGN the “WE OWE U FORM”!!!!! Wait to take possession, until everything is complete. They had 5 items on our form owed us; ONLY 1 has been fixed over 9 months later. The only reason the fireplace was finally fixed only because I called and emailed them weekly from November until they finally got it complete in January (4 months after I purchased it). I am happy to share details of the CONTINOUS email chain of “pain” to anyone who wants to know more details. Buying new for ease of mind is NOT worth it at Camping World!!!! They are all talk with NO actions. Next time we will go the Longmont!!!!

We carried our Fleetwood Excursion to the location in Calera, Al. It started out with a Refrigerator call back. While we were trying to get that resolved we let them service the 3 slide outs on the bus which we later discovered after we got home the Work was never done? We also let them change out all the batteries on our bus and service it. We spent around 2,000.00 while we were trying to get Norcold to fix our Refrigerator. We also called them back about replacing the back air conditioning unit. No one would ever call us back and then the manager finally called and gave us a price. We went down there and paid the remaking 500.00 we owed and was going to pay them to order the AC unit until we discovered they were trying to charge us 4,000.00 for storage on our Bus? Who ever heard of being charged storage when they’ve been working on your bus? So we went to look at the bus and found out they had wrecked our bus on the bumper, broke our kitchen cabinet, and ransacked our entire Bus on the inside? We pulled the bus home and they are refusing to fix our Bus! I’ve called Corporate and made a report. No call back yet?

What do you mean by servicing the 3 slideouts? Never heard of such, what the crap are they saying they do to them. Camping world invents stuff to charge you for, and the ignorant consumers fall for it.
