Camping World in Spartanburg, South Carolina - Great Experience

I bought 2 Generators from the Oakwood location today. I called before I went there because it's about a Hour away. I spoke to a young man named Reggie. Very Very Professional and Polite. When I arrived I could not ask for a Nicer Experianced Gentleman to help me. I just want to thank Reggie and the young lady that helped me. I will continue to shop with Camping World because of People Like Reggie and the Young Lady.

Camping World - Ordering on line disaster

I have ordered three times from camping world and everytime it was nothing but problems. I will tell you about the last time. I ordered a automatic transfer switch for $129. The first time I ordered the order says oops there is a problem try again later. So I waited a little while and tried again this time a seemed to work. A few minutes later I recieved an email for two orders for the same item. After a weeks worth of calling and a couple of hours on the phone it is still not solved. They are saying that the order got processed wrong and is stuck in there system I just want a refund . The last person I talked to gave me a different number to call , but now I. Have to wait until Monday because no one at that number can help me on Saturday even though they answered the phone. Needless to say I will never order from them again. It would have been so bad but I needed the part and couldnt take our RV out because of it.

Awful. I've heard there are two happy days in the life of an RV owner : the day you take delivery and the day you transfer the title to the new owner ....

Camping World in Meridian, Idaho - Theft

Took our camper (brand new) that was bought from camping world back to do warranty work on 5/22 and picked it up 6/14 with all kinds of excuses why the warranty work could not be done. They damaged our new trailer .... we haven’t taken it anywhere except to camping world for all kinds of “warranty” work. They kept it for almost 3 weeks and when we got it back .... loads of our fishing gear ($1000) were stolen off under where the batteries were that they were supposed to be checking. They never returned our calls asking where our things were. And never made claim that the stuff was even on there!

Want to deal with a dealer that will turn it's back on you after the sale? Camping World is your place.

NO warranty support whatsoever. No customer service. Questions never answered. Couldn't even get the GM to return an inquiry after handing him a personal, hand-written note (polite, by the way).

When you are in the buying mode they can't seem to do enough for you. Once you hook-up and drive away, you become a forgotten item.Accessory prices are NOT competitive - you can do as well at Cabela's or Bretz. Even the factory is disgusted with the Camping World relationship - I personally spoke with the Indiana facility.

If I had it to do over again I'd look for a private sale, a consignment location or another dealer. Ethics is NOT their strong suit.

Camping World in Fountain, Colorado - Terrible service advisor

Darren Heese of Colorado Springs had tried to make us feel as uncomfortable as he could. I’ve owned my own business for 40 years with over 50 employand I know with that type of attitude hurts camping world more than it’s worth. As we where there I was not the only one he was rude to. I would have fired him because of attitude. Is it really worth having him ruin his customer relations. It must be if he isn’t let go. Never going back again

Please, please read...if you dont want to get ripped off!!! Camping World and Good Sam has a good scam running here!After purchase of the RV the salesman tells me about the Good Sam Club extended service plan. Tells me the ONLY time it is available is at this moment for the Good Sam premium coverage plan because the RV hasn't left the lot yet. Once it does it's not offered. He tells me the plan covers EVERYTHING! Tells me I would never having to pay for anything but brake pads for the brake system, and hoses, electrical, awning, door handles, everything I could imagine was covered except *** in the awing or furniture not caused by manufacturing. I asked about additional expenses, NONE! Only thing is if I had to call someone out because of something that made the RV immobile Good Sam would only go up to 250.00 for someone to come out, but all of what they did would be covered. I also MUST submit contract now with a credit card or pay in full at this time. The Good Sam Extended Service Plan IS NOT AVAILABLE once I leave the dealership. I asked repeatedly. He said NO! This was a Camping World which is suppose to be partnered or whatever with Good Sam.The plan sounded good even though it was quite expensive. Being new to rving with a new rv and having to go on the road quickly for a family emergency I decided to purchase it even though I didn't like the idea of not being able to think it over or having to attach a credit card. I didn't realize I was being so blatantly lied to. Your instinct is to believe an established business right? They are Good Sams partners or however their technical association is. I asked him for a copy of what was covered so I would have it with me in the RV when we left. He hands me the little advertising brochure and tells me the paperwork will be mailed to me for this Good Sam extended warranty and all of the information would be fully explained there. I should receive it in a few days.So we wait, the Good Sam credit card comes right away. We wait. Nothing comes for this Good Sam Extended Warranty and I have nothing - not even a claims number should something happen on the trip. NOTHING at all except this retail installment contract which when you go over it with a fine tooth comb once you visit the Good Sam website, you notice little things.So I went online to Good Sams to see if I could get a copy of what I was suppose to have. I find out that apparently you can purchase these warranties after leaving Camping World. I didn't go into everything, but they offer quotes. They also had a sample warranty and what was covered by what plan.So now, not only was I lied to about the ability to purchase the extended service plan that covered nearly everything once I left, I was also lied to about what I was purchasing!!!! According to the retail installment contract he had me sign for the plan he told me I was purchasing, it did not include everything he told me it did according to the Good Sam website!! His extended service plan was totally bogus according to the Good Sam website, except of course the money they would technically steal from me!!I believe I have not received anything because Camping World did not want me to find out yet I was ripped off from start to finish about this. I would have been able to purchase later AND what he told me was covered according to what he checked off on the installment contract does not match. The service agreement does not explain what is covered, but going through each of the things on the contract with what is on the Good Sam website, this contract IS NOT for what he told me I was purchasing.So I contacted Good Sam via chat on the website. I told him based on the retail installment contract I had in front of me I suspected there was a major problem and it looked like I was ripped off. He was totally useless and I mean useless. The guy asks me what I purchased etc and wouldn't go any further. Kept wanting an email address and would have a manager contact me. I had to keep telling him we were getting ready to leave tomorrow and I needed something to take with me. Email addresses wouldnt be checked soon. I didnt even have a claims number or anything. He said someone else would have to help me. I gave him my phone number. It's been hours now and no one has contacted me yet. This only solidifies its all one big scam!!!This coverage is not worth it at all and I can see why they have to lie to sell it. On top of all the above after he told me there was no other expenses (except maybe of someone had to come to me, their service call if it was over $250.00) he marked a $250.00 deductible before any work can be done!Im sure he thought I would be an easy rip off being female, but I'm also a Veteran I don't like to be ripped off. I will fight tooth and nail when someone lied so extensively to me. I think we all expect respect and honesty when dealing with businesses. I am so enraged right now that these 2 businesses are set up this way. Not only do I have to deal with an impending death of someone very close, I have to deal with this before we hit the road! Good Sam should have addressed my issue immediately by calling me to find out what was wrong and then going to investigate.I'm not done with this, I might have been ripped off, but I will get my moneys worth advertising what they did to me and I will make a complaint with state officials and every where I can when I get back.

You should hear all the BADS I have to say about Good Sam Extended Warranty. My most recent is an A/C failure and a black tank crack - - they are now calling it in to the extended warranty people after 5 days - they are saying tank failed due to build build up and the A/C failed doe to corrosion from moisture - - - sounds to me they are going to try to weasle they way out of covering my problems - - I will update!!!

They heard you through like cattle slip a little funny business in there on you and then you end up having to except it because it sounds so good but you can never get a hold of anyone after the sale and the people answering the phone and most of the sales staff in the service department or rude

Camping World in Concord, North Carolina - Horrible service department

We currently are stationed In Florida as my husband is in military now. My father is a disabled veteran and lives in North Carolina and goes to the VA hospital there. He is suffering from congestive heart failure and lung cancer and is frequently in the hospital. I brought my camper up from Florida to keep it at a camp ground that was close to the hospital so it would be easier to come and go seeing my father. We put our camper in on April 9th for warranty maintenance and we are sitting in the parking lot in June 15th and our camper still isn’t finished. My husband has called over and over and was told 1 more thing needed to be done was waiting on shipment. We drove up on June 9th thinking to pick it up by Monday and we are still waiting. We were told over and over again things were done and they have not been. We have called and called and people would not return our phone calls. We have been lied to over and over again and they never put notes in their system to update any information my husband has every single phone call listed on his cell phone that he’s made from where he’s called over and over and over again and were told yesterday one thing was finished and we came in this morning we found out nothing was done except for one thing and we even let them know ahead of time that we would be here at 9:30 AM it is now 11 AM And no one is even working on our camper

Camping World - Just unbelievable have to read to understand

It all started when I bought a new Salem toy hauler from Camping World N Charleston SC. From the second I gave a deposit it was a free fall of screw ups poor communications. Well I finally picked up my camper on a Saturday, After taking delivery we decided to head to Myrtle Beach and enjoy our new camper. When we got to the camp sight we found the empty propane tank rolling around under the bed. The right wheel was loose. The water system was never tested because the valves were all off water heater off. The battery Positive terminal was loose and hot and arching. The screens was on the floor. And on and on. So i called my sales person every other day for two weeks.,Nothing. Finally got in touch with the manager of the store, We settled on a $500 gift card I used it online. Well after a week nothing shipped because card was on hold because I used a gift card for a purchase over $100.00 well it has been a week later 12 phone calls and still nothing shipped they took my 500 and nothing has shipped. At this point I would not buy a tooth pick from Camping World.

Camping World in Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Hope you don't need repairs!!!!

Camping World recently bought out Spaders in Sioux Falls. I purchased a new Reflection 5th wheel a year and a half ago. Brakes stopped working. Took it in early May. A week later they called me and told me the brake issue had to be my pickup. I had already told them I proved myself that it wasn't. Came back in with my pickup and they proved my pickup was fine (with their own test gear) They said they were going to connect it to one of their vehicles the next day to verify. I expecting a call in a couple of days. They didn't do it for two weeks. In the meantime, I left a couple of phone messages with their service dept looking for an update. No response. Finally someone calls me and says they think it's the 7-by. (doesn't make any sense since the voltage and current measure normal on all 4 brakes) I was told my camper is in the shop right now and will be fixed right away. Didn't hear anything, so I started leaving phone messages nearly every day. No response. Finally go pissed off and went there. They tell me they never got the messages because I didn't send them to a specific person. (Their phone system doesn't have that ability. You have to have a human answer or know the person's extension. Nobody checks the service department's switchboard voicemail. Left a message with the service manager. I was told my a person behind the counter that he doesn't check his either. It's now been over a month and my camper is still sitting on their lot "in queue". As soon as I get it back, I'm taking it to Schaap's and trading it for the Montana I wanted in the first place.
