Camping World - Horrible experience

Sorry for the long review but I need to give a full explanation. I live less than 3 miles from a camping world and decided to drive over 2 hours to this one because I found the travel trailer I wanted at a decent price and they were willing to get things done quickly and include delivery for the unit. After working all day and then driving 2 hrs, I finally arrived at this camping world. Everything was waiting for me to sign. I wanted to look at the unit before I signed anything just to make sure there wasn't going to be any surprises. My salesman took me out to look at it but have difficulty finding it and then wasn't sure if the one I was looking at was the one I was buying (this was the only one they had). My wife and I discovered many areas that were damaged and needed repair. He said that those things happen all the time and that it would be taken care of and that parts were already on order. With that, we told him we would need it by the following week and he said it shouldn't be a problem. He was scheduling to have it delivered on Friday,(we made the deal on Tuesday). This sounded good so we went ahead and made the deal. On Thursday the salesman called and said there was structural issues that had to be fixed and that it might be about 2 weeks before we could get it. On Friday I tried to get an update to a time frame. This is where things started to go bad. I spoke with the general manager and she basically said the salesman doesn't know what he is talking about and that it was just some metal that needed fixed and it would be 2 weeks and she was trying to get it expedited. I asked about returning the unit because the salesman misrepresented what he sold us. She said she would not do that. I later called the service department and they told me something completely different and said they wont get the parts in for 4-6 weeks if I'm lucky. So here I am paying for a travel trailer that I bought to be used over the 4 of july weekend and will be lucky if I get to step foot in it by the middle of august. All I have to say is stay away from this chain store and give the smaller RV dealers your business. They will work out better deals and they actually care about customers and their reputations.

Not all Camping World locations will provide you warranty service if you buy a Montana. San Antonio Camping World will not!

Camping World - Purchase 2018 keystone passport

Details
Our salesman Keith Johnson worked so hard to get us this camper. We drove almost 6 hours on two hours of sleep. Their staff was wonderful. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank u Keith for not giving up on this. Also to John Ness for being so friendly and helpful and to Roy our set up guy. He was educational on the camper and made us smile. God bless u all!

Very poor communication. I won't blister them with specifics of my experience. Suffice it to say I have had very bad experience in purchase, sale and service from dealerships in Lafayette, Grain Valley and Tyler. I will not return to Camping World.

Camping World - Started Horrible, ended well!

Had a lot of electrical issues with my new Toy Hauler purchased from Fla store in Feb 2018. Brought it to NC where we live part-time and travel and the problems started right away (April 2018). Melted wires and non-working AC topped the list. After weeks of frustration a guy named Tony Rork at the Fayetteville store got involved and changed the experience. He calls, texts, answers his texts and phone calls and kept us updated. Warranty was taking forever to approve so Tony led the charge to get us fixed, and have the store sort it out later with the Fla store it was purchased at. Until Tony got involved with my repair, I swore I was done with CW in the future. Thanks to him I will continue to give them business.

Do NOT trust these people. They charged me $561 for diagnostic work, with repairing very few things. And, they said they repaired lights when they did not. Go to another RV service provider. BEWARE!! Never again. The service manager LIED to me. They would not fix what they said they had done. but it was not working. We have never been treated so poorly. Do NOT buy the extended warranty ($1,000+), as it covers almost Nothing. Bob R. We bought a used camper and asked to have an awning installed TO MATCH THE EXISTING WHITE AWNING. This was made very, very clear. The next day they tried to shove off a black awning on us. We refused and said we would wait for the correct one. Went to pick it up.......it is grey. Not white. Grey. They told us no one makes a white awning so they wouldn't fix it. Bullpucky, I found a white one in minutes on my iPad. We also asked them to replace two broken fans (one had no blades and the other wouldn't run. The service manager didn't want to replace them because they were "fine". Fine? No blades is fine? Worst buying experience ever. Did I get an apology? Nope. The manager tried to sell me an extended warranty.

The CEO of Camping world should listen to customers

Jacksonville camping world is one of many stores that are not on the same sheet of company policy. They however are on the same sheet of music when it comes to not providing warranty service, even when you buy extended warranty. I ask of you do not purchase an RV from any camping world. You will not be happy if you have any work that needs to be done on your unit.

Bought a brand new Starcraft in November 2017. Used it once Been at Hamburg store for over 80 + days Warranty work. Worst service I ever experienced. Worst service manager ever. How about we get our unit back before another holiday goes by. Never going back.
