Camping World - Had to replace the radio five times in three years

Each time they replaced it with the same brand despite my wishes for a different model.

Camping World in Fort Myers, Florida - Outdoor chairs that you can’t get wet

We bought expensive outdoor chairs for camping at Camping World in Fort Myers. The first time we used them on our trip to Knoxville Tn. the chair cushion got wet and remained wet the entire week even after leaving them in 90 degree sun all day everyday. Leaving us nowhere to sit. We brought them back to Camping World where we purchased them and was told we needed the receipt, they looked up all our purchases on their computer and found items I purchased at the same time I purchased the chairs but the chair purchase mysteriously disappeared So I am forced to keep outdoor chairs that cannot be used outdoors. I will never shop at Camping World or will I recommend them to anyone. I would advise people to use caution if considering making a Purchase at Camping World in Fort Myers

Camping World - Be prepared for a car-salesman/ overselling environment in Davenport

I recently went to Camping World in Davenport as they had several travel trailers that I was interested in. I called and made an appointment with Jim(salesman). Jim showed me several units and was very helpful. Picked one out and sat down to complete the transaction and that's where it went down hill. They used every car salesman trick from trying to sell me payments, sign on the line if your serious today, and my favorite...talking with the sales manager as if they a negotiating for long periods of time. None of their unit come with batteries, not will they allow you to leave without a weight distribution hitch , so you are forced to buy both at double market price. $595 cleaning fee?? WTF. It took an hour to pick out the camper I wanted and nearly 4 to complete the deal. Now I have to return to pick it up and I am sure the finance manager will try to sell me everything under the moon and drag that out for three more hours. I have had 10+ rv's/motorhomes and have never seen such a racket at a dealership. I will not return again.

Camping World in Gulf Breeze, Florida - A bunch of Crooks

A bought a used diesel pusher from camping World. they told me about how well maintained it was, best condition of any they had seen, new the owners personally, etc. etc. Kept calling me every day after I looked at it with more great news about it. My first problem occurred in under 50 miles from the dealership. All the dashboard lights went out. Before I could even get to my 1st location I had to spend over $9,000.00! It died on the interstate and I had to have it towed to a diesel repair shop. When I called to complain about the Good Sam towing package they sold me I never got a call back. I had my Secretary call about not receiving the paperwork to get a license plate (purchased in FL, I live in LA). The told her the 1st time that they had sent it. When the temporary plate was about to expire she starting calling back...NO ONE was ever available. She finally called back with a false name and she got directly thru. She gave them address to send the paperwork to. They MISTAKENLY then sent it FedEx to the WRONG ADDRESS! I will never deal with these crooks again. BTW I paid them an extra $995.00 to go over it and make sure everything was working and in good shape. I still have a list of things that don't work, trip breakers etc. but don't want to put any more money into it.

Had the same problems with their Biloxi, MS location. I never received my paperwork, either and they had to FedEx it overnight.

Luckily, they got the address right!

We also had a pretty bad leak in our slide that they denied knowing about when we asked them regarding some water stains on the interior. We just repaired it ourselves instead of having to deal with them again!!

Oh ya haven’t heard! There just crooked, I purchased my camper a 2016 crusader fifth wheel less than a year ago!now keep in mind it was used. But took it out for the first time the slide with the dining table and recliners almost fell out so we packed it up and took it back to the dealer, after two weeks the service manager called and was very nice and told me the unit should not have been sold in this condition the whole slide floor was rotted and he tells me we’re ordering another and will let me know as progress happens. Well a month goes by and a lady calls and says what would you like us to do with your camper I said is it fixed she’s like what’s wrong with it I’m like the whole floor was rotten when I bought it and she says I have no record of that I said let me speak to the service manager that called me first off she says oh he’s no longer with us I’m like here it comes so y’all aren’t going to take care of this she’s like you bought it used I’m like it was rotten and it wasn’t even disclosed so she’s like what do you want me to do I’m like I want you to fix it she’s like so you’re going to pay I’m like no Yala she’s like nope so I went and picked it up took it to Tech RV in Milton they’re awesome people help me with everything after six months I finally have our camper back on the road but they owe me $3000 so yes they’re crooked crooked crooked I wouldn’t send my enemy over there by camper and what’s bad this is my fourth camper to purchase from them

Camping World - Won't return deposit

1.9
Details
Purchased motor home on internet from Gary Baker on 5-31-18 for 56k dollars . A thousand dollar deposit was given. About half way of a 900 mile trip to pick it up, Camping World called my cell phone and informed that they needed and additional 10% for taxes to be paid in full before I could pick up the motor home. I voided the deal over the phone. While heading back home I received a phone call from Gary Baker apologizing for the tax confusion and said my deposit would be returned, a month later and numerous calls to Camping World still no refund , just one big runaround. Beware of this boiler room.

Camping World - Buyer Beware - False Advertising

Buyer Beware - Con Artist I was dealing on a camper for nearly 2 weeks with them and I finally decided to buy it. When I told them I would take it they said that they would write up a purchase order for me to sign. When they gave it to me it was for over $2000.00 more than our agreed price. When I showed them the email they had sent me on for the price we had previously agreed on the said " oh one of our other people just now sold it to some one else." Funny how they had this camper for a couple of months, and they just "happened" to sell it to someone else while we were doing the paperwork after I had point out the price discrepancy.

Camping World - Geo was awesome. He was helpful and knowledgeable.

He was a low key salesman which I liked. He did not pressure us to purchase which I also liked. I also liked Colby who showed us how to use our RV.
