Incompetence! We have been trying to get some very minor repairs for 9 months now. We either get zero updates or are told it’s all done only to find out nothing has been done. If I ever come back here it will be by force. The camping world in Byron is amazing but they stopped working on fleetwoods. I have never been so frustrated as I am with this service center. You can show them the problem and they’ll argue that there’s nothing wrong. I’m sorry but awning aren’t suppose to collapse and trap you inside of your RV. A ail light cover shouldn’t take 9 months to replace

2015 bought used 2009 Heartland North Trail from Camping World Memphis. It was over priced. I didn't know it. I was sold two different insurance policies and all the bells Whistle. I was told the wrinkles were nothing to worry about. The following year discovered black mold in bedroom at the head of the bed and front cap of the camper. Repaired and cost of $3000. Neither insurance covered the repair. The wrinkles on the rear finally developed soft flooring at the tail under the window. Estimated cost of repair Over $6000. Not covered. As it stands right now, the balance for the travel trailer pay off balance is just over $11,000. My advise. Runaway from these crooks. Never ever buy Heartland or any of their brands under their parent company.

Camping World in Las Vegas, Nevada - Horrible Customer Service

Our RV suffered vandalism and theft so we took it to Camping World for repairs. We had good insurance coverage but the service department tried to get even more money out of us. Just one example of this, they wanted us to pay for rewiring the wall that housed the microwave stating that the wiring was damaged when the old microwave was destroyed. The truth, they installed a new microwave but never plugged it in! Our RV has been at the shop in Camping World Las Vegas for one year now and it is still not finished. Both Alex and Mark in the service department answer the phone about 1 out of 15 messages left. They say the RV is ready to be picked up when we show up there are still thing left undone. Be warned -do not buy or get service from Camping World, Las Vegas!

My wife and i bought a camper from camping world in dover (tampa). the salesman (ryan) was a liar. their service techs did horrible sub par work. i could go on and on with much more.

Camping World - Sucks never again will I buy here again

Place sucks. I found the fifth wheel I whanted after many weeks of looking online at what each manufacturer had to offer. After picking what I wanted the only place I could find it in town was at camping world. Sent an email about the fifth wheel to Hanna that I liked the fifth wheel and I wanted to trade in my 2015 TT. Took her two days to get back to me. Then sent me a appraisal form which I filled out the same day with in the hr. Sent it back and two more days went by no call or responds. So I called them to see what was up and they said sorry we are just busy. Finally got a appointment set up to see the trailer with Casey. Told him what I wanted to see he took us back and the price was cheaper then what was shown online which was cool. So we said will take it and went back to start the paper work and it was sold to someone else. They found us one that was a little different with less options but the Same layout and same price? Started the paper work and put money down and then waited a week and didn’t hear anything back so I called to see what was up and was told their just so busy and the financial guy was off. That someone should call you soon. At that time I asked Casey about a fifth wheel hitch price for my truck. He said they would get back to me. He never did. I finally called the service shop myself and got a price 300 dollars more then every truck accessories shop and RV shop in town for the same style and brand hitch. And that was with a supposedly 15% discount lol. 4 more days go by and still no call from the financial guy to say I was approved or not this has now been 10 days since I put money down to start the process. So I called them again and got the same thing sorry we’re just so busy. I asked them when the trailer was going to get here and if I was approved and if so what are the terms. Casey said trailer is here but it will take a few days to go through it so next week some time. Which made me not happy being this whole process has been over three weeks since I sent the 1st email. And I bought the trailer I wanted they didn’t have to do any work to sale it. Finally I get a pick up date and a call back from financial guy. Bring in my trade which they low balled me on. after setting down with the financial guy they had hidden cost and the price was back to what they showed online. Not what was showen on the trailer when we looke at it. Sighed anyway because I really like the trailer and they were the only ones that could get it. Was rushed when it came time for pick up was told by Rico if I had any issues to call him and he will take care of it. Went out the same weekend with the fifth wheel and found lots of problems. Slider is sticking when it comes out. Widow in bedroom is missing a lock. A bed shock is broken. I have a slider pocket door that doesn’t open. The floor has ripples in it. What did they look at when Casey said they had to go over the trailer before delivery? When I called Rico about the slider sticking i got..it is normal you have to lupe the rails? Me? I just bought it and I have to lupe the rails? Then he said to send him a video of what it’s doing. So I did and he never called back. So I called him and got sorry we’re just busy and my phone is acting up. Let me look and I will call you back. He never did. So I called Casey. He said the same thing may have to lupe it or it operator error Call back the main number and talk to service. Which I did no answer So I had to leave a message. I then sent Casey the video and finally I got a call back from the service department and have a schedule time to bring it in. Will see how that goes. This process took two days. I would strongly suggest going somewhere else to do business. Every step has been a struggle. I have many friends that camp and will tell everyone I know never go there. I know this post doesn’t main much. Looking at all the other reviews saying the same things. And camping worlds response is the same on everyone of them lol. Great experience! There are several bad reviews but it seems that a handful of bad experiences ruin it for potentiel campers. I had a great experience and would reccommend Camping World of Rapid City. Happy Camper!

Camping World in Lubbock, Texas - Refrigerator Issues

Camping world of Lubbock has got to be the sorriest as far as customer service and how they value customers. Took my unit in back in March to have a refrigerator issue fixed. It was there for a couple weeks. I would call to check status on the issue to see what they found. Hardly was ever able to speak to anyone and got hardly no response via email. Finally they call and tell that the tech was able to find a panel that wasn’t suppose to be in the unit so they cut it out and said that fixed it. Never ran diagnostics to actually figure out if that was the problem but was told cutting the panel out fixed it. Drove from Midland, Tx which is 115miles away to pick up my unit. Got it home and set back up and plugged in and nothing. So ended up taking the unit to another dealer to let them look at. Found out after the diagnostic was run the cooling unit was out. Needless to say I called Campingworld back and the service manager Kyle said I could bring it back and let them fix it. I said I have had refrigerator issues before and apparently they weren’t fixed. He told me he would check into it and look for my invoices and call me back. I had to call back and there was never any invoices found to have shown refrigerator issues in the past and that GoodSam extended warranty only showed one and that was the day I called in about the recent one. I called Kyle back and he said he was having his bookkeeper looking for my invoices from the past and he would call me back by 10:00am the next morning. It have been 2wks and haven’t heard a word from no one. So needless to say don’t use Campingworld in Lubbock Tx for service. My wife and I are out over $2500.00 because the other shop does not deal with extended warranty.

Inquired on a used camper by phone. Talked to DOUG. We batted around price points but never agreed on anything. He ran my credit and took my credit card number as a deposit. Said he was taking it off the website listing, and I was going to let him know when I could come up from Ga. I called this morning to let him know I was coming up to look at it since I had been working all weekend. I was informed he had it in process for someone else. Said since we didn't agree on price on phone before I could even come look at it, that that constituted it as a no go and he never ran my card OR took it offline. Total *** Yes he came up with every excuse in the book to shift the blame on me, but either way DOUG is a liar. He hung up on me when I asked him to just admit he was a liar. The manager called and asked what he could do for me and I said honor what Doug had told me. He said it was sold. Which was another lie because Doug told me he was waiting on the bank, which means it had not been approved (I've taken out many loans and know the process quite well). Basically it was end of month and they were going to sell whatever they could no matter if they go against their word or not. Horrible experience and terrible customer service. People like this are why buying a camper is worse than buying cars nowadays. And NO to whoever with camping world responds.....Not interested in anything from you, and the one option you had to fix the situation, the management lied and denied me that wish. Wish there were negative stars but 1 will have to do

Camping World - What customer service????

Went on maiden voyage, Jacks wouldn't work, called camping world twice. They said they didn't have any one that knew how to wor auto level system. Have major fresh water leak, one of the recliners in coach, that hasn't been sat in, stitching is pulling apart. Slide out that has refrigerator in it won't retract, had to drive home with it hanging out. $70000.00 coach, no customer service, even took the 4000.$ Service contract. What was the point.

Why would you spend $4000 on a "service contract" for a new vehicle ? And if it is not new, why are you surprised that things failed ?

I've never owned or desired an RV, but from what I understand they are an amalgam of various subcontractors, dealers, and unrelated supply vendors, each delighted to pass the buck to the other. The chassis manufacturer doesn't care about your refrigerator, the chair guy doesn't care about your jacks, the auto level system guy is out of business, and the dealer won't back up any of it.Those "extended warranties" are not worth the paper they are printed on.

The point is they make big $$$$ on warranty and financing. Then they don't have the ability or the inclination to help you.
