Camping World in Denton, Texas - Cortney

5.0
Details
I went into camping world Denton last Sunday, I had had knee surgery that Wed. before. First thing Cortney said with a smile let me get you a wheel chair. I said no save it for someone who needs it. Well I was looking at a new Fridge she was great even took me in back and measured them for me. Had to open the box for me to see. No worries. Every time I go in from now on I will look for her. I built and ran a business for 25 years, I know good people. If I start another business I'm coming to hire her. Keep up the great work. Jeff & Sue

He was the guy who screwed us when our warranteed slide out motor failed. He was supposed to contact the motor manufacturer, then said I had to do it.

The rep said" no ,Camping World needed to contact him. After several phone calls to Brett and emails he delayed a month and the warranty expired.

I went there in 2016 i wanted to purchase an RV. I did like one and I let them run my credit. And I couldnt get settled that I really wanted to purchase an RV for sure so I walked away from the deal. 2 years later i still wanted one. Went back and they ran my credit again. Wish so badly i had looked up my credit report. It turns out these idiots did 4 ... four! Hard pulls on my credit in 2016. I dod not tell these idiots they could do that!. Now they have pulled 2 hard credit checks this year! This crap dont fall off your credit score for years! I absolutly hate them. They did so very wrong and I may be paying for ut fir years. But for as long as its on my credit.... I will spread the news.

Camping World in Fairfield, Ohio - False Advertising

August 5, 2018. We drove an hour and a half because they said they would had RV sales open from 11 to 4. When we showed up they said salesman's voluntarily work on Sunday's. So we wasted our Sunday driving here and were not allowed to look at campers. The store manager refused to let us and several other patrons look at RVs because she could not clear the lot at 4 and it was only noon.

WOW!!!!!!,,,,WHERE DO I START, THE TERRIBLE SERVICE, OR THE CONNING OF MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS? I brought my travel trailer in for warranty repairs, and what a joke. The service department as explained by other customers is never at fault. The trailer was dropped off for some pretty basic issues, and was promised back by Thursday of the following week, and I would receive a phone call with status updates on the repairs. Needless to say, no updates and the trailer never got completed. I called the dealer numerous times, and left numerous messages, but no calls back. Finally on Saturday, I was finally able to get a hold of somebody and was told the trailer was not yet completed and in addition, the roof needed to be scrubbed, sealed and inspected for the price of almost $300. I also received an apology for nobody returning a phone call, and I would receive a call Monday. WELL, once again no phone calls, and no returned phone calls from the messages I left, until finally late Tuesday afternoon. On Tuesday, I agreed to have the roof and gutters cleaned and inspected, and once again, I was guaranteed a phone call on when the trailer was supposed to be completed. BELIEVE THIS OR NOT, NO PHONE CALLS AND NO ANSWERS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OR NO RETURNED CALLS FROM MESSAGES LEFT THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK (keep in mind, I called dozens of time to get a hold of somebody). Finally on Saturday, after enough of the games, I drove the hour plus drive to check on the status in person. I arrived at the dealer 30 mins before close (keep in mind, I once again called numerous times and left messages on Saturday, and the secretary even hand delivered a note to call me, and yet NO CALLS). Upon getting to the dealer, the individual I had been dealing with, was behind the counter, playing on his phone, totally complacent to me being there. After a good 5 minutes of me standing there, he finally noticed me standing in front of him and asked if I needed assistance. Once getting my name, I got the "I was just getting ready to call you......" line. With a bit of conversation, I was assured all the work had been completed, and I paid for the roof clean, seal and inspection, I was told where the trailer was located, and I was on my way. As with the rest of my experience, finding my trailer was a chore, as it was not in the location and or slot I was told it was in. With no help from anybody at this dealer, I finally found the trailer, hooked up and made it home. Upon inspection when I got home, MORE ISSUES! It was discovered some of the warranty issues were not resolved and didn't appear to even be looked at (partially my fault as I didn't bring my keys and the trailer was locked, and the dealer was closed so I couldn't get into the unit), and the $300 roof clean, seal and inspection was NEVER done, but yet I got charged. I do believe the roof got sprayed with a hose, but that was the extent! The only reason I believe this to be true, is due to the fact that the side of the trailer was black from dirt running off. However, when inspection of the roof by myself, it was in fact never scrubbed, cleaned or sealed, but yet I got charged. HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE OF BEEN CONNED OUT OF A ROOF CLEAN THAT NEVER GOT DONE???? Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Now, I still need repairs, and I'm out money for services never rendered! The clean spot in the picture is what I cleaned by hand after I received the trailer back (All that got used was a camper mold/mildew remover), and the roof over the one slide out is blistered (never got inspected). KEEP IN MIND, THIS UNIT IS A 2018!

Camping World in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Terrible Customer Service

1.4
Details
We went in looking for RV recliners and with a few questions about slide out structure. First we looked at the recliner (only had one). Sat in it, turned it partially on its side to view the construction. Then we sat on one of the two couches and surfed the internet on our phones looking for information on RV furniture. We sat there a good 15 to 20 minutes while at least 6 different employees walk by us multiple times without even saying hello. I finally went to the service counter to ask my slide out question. The service guy started helping another customer half way through "helping" me. He then proved he hadn't listened to me by giving me an answer to a setup I told him I didnt have. We left and went to another RV dealer in town where we were able to look at and try out a good selection of recliners and purchased two, and they werent cheap. Camping World Tulsa not only lost a good sale today (we were prepared to order through them if necessary) they lost my business permanatly.

Camping World - Possible lemon camper

Today 4-8-18 I made a couple of purchases from camping world online. I was asked to take a survey. It open up old wound again. On 23-3-18 I purchased a new prowler lynx 272LX from camping world Hamburg NY. On my trade in I noted to the salesperson I was having electrical problems. I purchases the trade in a preowned Sprinter 05 ST252FWRLS on 1-5-17 from Camping World Hamburg. The manager of camping world I only know as Chuck came in when signing the paper to purchase the prowler, and Flu into a rage about the electrical system in my trade-in Sprinter. Note I only used the Sprinter once the previous summer for 2 day at KOA. I noticed the electrical problem when I first tried it in a 30 amp socket. After sleeping on it I came to the conclusion, but can't prove it that they had sold me a Sprinter with a fried 30 amp electrical system. note the 110 socket worked. Sent a letter to regional manager a couple of day after the incident, and complain about my treatment. Never received a reply. I seriously doubt I will purchase another camper from camping world, Jim

I went to Camping World in Memphis with intentions of purchasing a travel trailer. I gave the sales guy my budget, he showed my family and I our options, we chose one, when I tried to pay them in full he said this price is only if you finance the trailer if you pay cash it’s $6000 more. He called a week later (near the end of the month) and said he’d do the deal without financing. I’m proud to say I purchased our new camper from a honest family owned dealer that has integrity.
