Camping World in London, Ohio - Never buying from here again

We purchased our class c camper over a week ago and had a scheduled appointment for 10:15am. It is now 12:15pm and it is still not ready for me to do my walkthrough. I had to bring my 3 children w me since they had no school. They had plenty of time to prepare our camper for our arrival. It is terrible service. Why bother scheduling an appointment for the time to not be met. I will never buy from here again. Marcus, I am a huge fan of yours but unfortunately your staff has not held up your standards.

Camping World - Great experience

I bought a generator and several other items yesterday at Camping World Chattanooga Tn location and was assisted by sales associate Savannah Jeno. She was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She could not have been nicer. She is a true asset to the company. I only came in to look and price generators but after talking to her, I decided it was the right time to make the purchase. I did not come prepared to buy so I did not have my truck with me and she told me she would hold it for me to pick up at a later date.I would highly recommend her to anyone coming to Camping World for any camping needs. Price matching at Camping World Chichester, NH

Ordered 3 items from Camping World online, needed 4. Went to local CW, found part with help of parts person. Asked him if CW price matches with CW online, showed him my invoice he verifed my price, printed out the page from the website told me to go to cashier give them the page from the web and they would charge me the online price. So I did, the cashier said they would, but they would add the shipping charge ($9.00). The next step was to get a Mgr. Who said the only way the shipping charge is waived is if you spent over $40.00 and that is only online, my online order was less than $40.00. The mgr then told me the cost of my item was now $13.00 (and change) plus the $9.00 shipping. Not the price on the store bin ($16.89). This is too strange to understand. After some more discussion, they finally relented and charged me the bin price. I will no longer purchase from CW stores and may not purchase on line. As for Good Sam---Goodbye!!!

6/6/17 – Arrived in Tucumcari, NM. Found our rear slide motor was bad. Called the CW Tech Help Line, spoke with Service Tech Joe, who initiated a 3-way call with Jennifer Housand, Service Manager for Albuquerque Camping World. We discussed that they would be expecting me the next morning, with the parts either there or a day’s delivery away, as parts could be overnighted if necessary. I was assured that everything would be “ready to go” when I arrived. 6/7/17 – Arrived at 11:15. Had called around 10:30 to let them know we were almost there. They acknowledged expecting us. On arrival, no one knew who we were, and Service Advisor Simon Trujeque stated there were no notes regarding us. He consulted Jennifer Housand, who acknowledged we had spoken together, but denied all discussions that took place during the phone call, even stating that “they never overnight parts”. She also denied that there was any agreement whatsoever that “everything would be ready to go,” and that nothing would be done until 1:00 when the service techs returned from lunch. Service Manager Jennifer demonstrated an attitude toward us with every interaction. In fact, nothing was done until I again called Joe at the Tech Help Line around 2:00, after which they finally got the coach in to investigate the problem. After a couple of hours, as expected, they reached the same conclusion that Joe and I told them they would find. Simon claimed no knowledge of the existing motor’s high failure rate noted by Joe, and advised that since the existing motor was functional, we only change the damage one. He was offended when we insisted that both motors be replaced, so that it would be a matched set. Service Tech Joe told me that Albuquerque is ringed by Camping World warehouses, and that there was no reason to ship the motors from Lippert (the manufacturers). Simon stated that Joe was a liar, and that all parts for slides had to come from the manufacturer. Despite Service Manager Jennifer’s earlier claim of never ordering parts via overnight delivery, the new motors were ordered for next day delivery at a charge of $100, albeit with no guarantee of delivery or installation when they arrived. 6/8/17 – Around 10:00, received a call from Simon stating that parts had been ordered and were scheduled for delivery on 6/9/17. He said that deliveries usually arrived between 10:00 and 12:00, but that it might be later. Assuming that they did arrive in that time window and if the repair tech began the installation after lunch, since four (4) hours were allotted, it should be completed by the end of 6/9/17. However, if they had to start later, it would be more like the end of Monday 6/12/17. Again, he refused to provide any idea of the likelihood of either scenario, and refused to advise us whether or not to extend our stay. Again, it was not his problem. 6/9/17 – Arrived at Camping World around 10:30. Simon stated that the parts were scheduled for delivery around 11:30, and reiterated that if the tech could start on installation at 1:00 pm, after lunch, they could have it completed by the end of the day. If not, it would be completed on Monday 6/12/17. As usual, he refused to speculate the likelihood of either scenario, ignoring again the necessity of extending motel stays. At 4:40, I called again to ascertain the status, and was informed that the repairs were completed, but that the new sealants needed to dry overnight before the slide could be closed. He told us we could take possession and drive to the RV park next door with the slide open (highly inadvisable!), or pick it up in the morning. I agreed we would wait until the morning of 6/10/17. 6/10/17 – Arrived at Camping World at 7:30 (opened at 8:00). Simon either had many problems totaling our bill or was deliberately delaying us again. He finally completed about 9:45.

We went to camping world to downsize from our 5th wheel to a smaller pull behind. The associate we dealt with treated us like we were poor peasants the whole time. She made comments about our trade in like it was scuzzy too. They only gave us 2000.00 for trade in because the said it "needed some work". We go to pick up our new camper and took cash for a down payment. We figured we'd pull the amount down so we could get it paid off sooner...nope they added a whole bunch of fees to the buyers order a $3000 fee neither of us understand and got the price right back up to asking price. Our permit had the wrong VIN number on it. The old camper we traded in got the permit...had to have our local MV office issue a new one so that we wouldn't be in trouble if pulled over...at our expense. The icing on the cake has been getting the paperwork to our motor vehicle office. Our permit was set to expire on the 11th here it is the 14th and still no paperwork to our office. We have tried calling as have they to camping world and the title clerk is either extremely rude or refuses to answer the phone or won't return a message. We paid good money for this and we have been treated like crap! Our plate fees keep going up because they won't send the paperwork. Please if you want a new camper do not go to these guys!!

Camping World in Robertsdale, Alabama - Worst customer service ever!

We bought the extended warranty (2000.00) and the exterior paint warranty (1695.00) from Camping World when we purchased our RV. We took our RV in to Camping World at the end of July 2018. As of today, it is still there. Every time I call there is a different excuse as to why nothing has been done. When we brought it in, we had a list of items to be repaired. We presented all our warranties (that they sold to us) and asked to be kept informed. We had not heard anything from the service department after three weeks even though we continued to call. The lady that checked us in at the service department gave us her card and said call anytime. We later found out she no longer worked there. We were given a different contact person. As of today our RV is still there. When I called the service department today, I was told the same thing.... let me check on it and I will call you back. Not! I did call the service manager and ask he give me a call, but he hasn’t and that was 2 weeks ago. I will try to make an appointment with the manager of Camping World. If he will not see us, I guess the step is to seek legal help.

Camping World redeems and restores my faith and trust.

on a recent visit to Camping World in ALBQ. NM I went in to have some work done. One of the items was intermittent reception on my radio. long story short the work was preformed I paid for the work only to find that on my trip when I turned on the radio it was as though nothing had changed with regard to the reception. Still intermittent, it would come on then 5 ,10, 15 minutes later no signal and on it goes. I wrote a review about my disappointment with regard to the failure along with some other issues. I was contacted immediately by Jennifer head of CS at CW she was very apologetic and began working to resolve the issue offering options and various solutions to resolve the issues. Very impressed and very please with the ultimate resolution we reached. In the review I gave them 2 stars now 4 stars.. Thank you!

We bought a new 5th wheel in Feb and are still waiting for warranty parts and service. They act nice on the phone like they are working on it and then you never hear back from them! I don't know where to turn. Shrug

We have been there several times with Camping World of Saukville, WI. I swear they go through a "How to BS the Customer" training course.

They not only didn't dothe work like they said they did, they also hit our camper with something while in their care and tried to cover it up. Of course they did nothing to make it right.

Camping World - I will never order again

I ordered a satellite antenna but it wouldn’t work in the area I was in. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t work there so I had to return it. It cost me $50.00 to ship back!! I will never order a product again after having to pay that much to return!! I am not happy at all!!
