Camping World in Meridian, Idaho - The worst

1.0
Details
Go to Bish's next door for better service and prices. Service is so so if you're buying a new RV, but horrible otherwise. They put a hold on funds when I ordered online, then charged me again when the item was shipped. I was told the hold would be released in "a few days". What if I didn't have enough money in my account for twice the amount of my order? They could have easily over drafted my account but no one seems to care. This is a horrible policy, I wonder how many people it has screwed over. The service department is a joke. I had an 8 AM appt on Monday. When I dropped our trailer off they informed me it would get put in line and looked at sometime in the next 10 days. WHAT? Why do I have an appt? I decided to give them another chance and they raped me for $4 a gallon for propane. I can get it down the street for 1/3 that price NEVER AGAIN YOU LYING THEIVES!

Camping World in Saint Peters, Missouri - Terrible service dept

The people working in camping worlds service dept in St. Louis have no idea as to servicing motor homes. I went back several times with the same complaints regarding work the supposedly fixed. Ended up having to another company to get my problems fixed correctly. Don’t bother calling their headquarters. They will not return your calls.

Camping World in Marietta, Georgia - Disappointed

I am very disappointed in Camping World in Calera, Alabama. I took my camper to them around July 14th for fire damage. I expressed my feelings of how excited they excepted to work on my camper. I also told them I already had a Camping trip planned for late October and they said no problem. So my camper is still sitting in there lot. They have had every excuse from my insurance was helping and my insurance has called and called trying to get this matter settled. I was told my camper would be the next one in on September 24 by September 25 and they denied that they told me that. My insurance State Farm sent check over 3 weeks ago. I really upset with Camping World in Calera, Alabama. I dropped by last Monday and Camping looks so nasty I couldn’t even get in it. Just don’t know where to turn or who to turn too. Please help !!!

I have had outrageous problems with the CW in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I will post a FULL “review” after they repair the damage THEY did to my fifth wheel inside and out, which was done last year.

Plus numerous things that were supposed to be done while still under warranty. Instead of completing all the repairs, they chose to kept my RV from November until March this year. Warranty expired March 31,2018. Now they say they won’t do anything except the damage they did to outside of RV, bc warranty expired.

We’re giving them one last chance to finish all repairs and damages they caused. We’re still camping in Alabama because the rear AC leaked water onto our bed and on our bed and tv. Both are under the return air vents. CW refuses to do anything thing!

Even though this problem start the very first night we took possession. It’s happened at least 3-4 times and we took it in for repair. Problem has never been resolved. Call your state attorney general’s office.

They helped me last year. Looks like I’ll be calling them again.

Prices seem good but in the end you will pay so many fees that 10 to 15 thousand dollars will be added to you final price. Other places that RVs will not and do not add the fees Camping World will charge you. The saleman said they would clean the RV before we picked it up and they did not. I was not with my husband when he picked it up otherwise I wod have jad it done before we left. Shannon the salesman is very degrading and disrespectful. When he talked to me he scolded me on the price among other things. Unprofessional and will completely rip you off. If you pay attention to the contracts they will say for example your RV is $20,000 bit then they charge you higher intrest that other place will give you, they also inflate their taxes and registration fees. If you look at your payment, they will show you the number you want to see. And the contract will say for example final purchase price. $23,000....okay I can do that, right.....? Well they try to decieve you because if you look at how many months you are paying on your RV you will see your final total is not $23,000...Partly because of intrest.....not problem....BUT they tack on a ton of extras fees. So your $20,000 RV just cost you $35,000. Watch out, please check around before you go to them..You will get a better deal from a different RV sales center or an RV show. When Camping World asked me to give them a review and it was not a good one by the way...the manager called right away. He wanted to know why I gave a bad review. But not willing to help resolve any issues. Remember I said they were going to clean up the RV and didnt...? I found over 100 pieces of screws and metal shavings in and on the beds and couch. All over the floor and several things broken or not installed properly. But the manager didnt care.

Camping World in London, Ohio - Horrible Experience

I purchased a Camper from Camping World in El Paso, Texas in July of 2016. After the purchase it had several things that needed to be repaired under warranty. Several defects in the manufacturing were identified. It was several weeks before the parts came in and at this point I needed to leave for Columbus, OH. I was not able to get the warranty work done. Mr. Peacock the rep from El Paso Texas that was handling my claims insured me that everything could be moved to the camping world in London, OH. I worked with London, OH for almost a year off and on. They attempted to fix several items, but were unsuccessful causing me to return it again. While in their care in August 2017 something started leaking in the bedroom ceiling and water damaged the bedroom. It was approved for repair. The only thing they repaired was the leak itself. The closets were damaged and full of mold when I received it back. I attempted to get these items repaired also with no success. I still owe $20,000 on this camper that I can't use. I have attempted to go through the manufacturer with no results. The camper was turned into Camping World London, OH again in March of 2018 with a promise that it would be done by this camping season. It is still there and I have lost money due to me prepaying for camp sites. I have a monthly payment of $500.00 I have to pay for something I can’t use. They have changed managers and employees at least twice I have been working with camping world London, OH for almost two years now for warranty repairs. I spoke with an attorney June 2018 and they could not help me because it has been over 18 months. (Burge Law Columbus, OH). The work again was said to be done on 12 Sept, 2018 and upon inspection on 13 Sep, 2018 it still has water damage inside it in several places. It is still in their care with no resolution. On 15 Sep, 2018 Tommy their service manager called me for a follow-up and stated that the roof was not repaired properly. He stated that it had to go through pressure testing. I told him this was not acceptable for it to take this long and obviously they are unable to repair it. I asked him to check with his management to exercise the lemon law. He stated no one at his store had that authority. Can you please help me with this situation? I want to give this camper back and receive a refund. I have used it only a few times and have been paying on it for over two years. It is obviously a lemon and they are unable to repair it. Warranty Repairs that have not been completed or have been said to be completed but are unsatisfactory for a new vehicle. Air Conditioner Freezes Electric Stabilizers on the Rear Do not function Awning Splitting from the camper against the wall Chip in corner inside wall on the left of the slide out Pantry Cabinet is water damaged and moldy Bedroom closet is water damaged and moldy Ceiling in the bedroom is water damaged and moldy Light in bedroom is shorted due to ceiling water leak Shower leaks near bathroom vanity Walls and trim in bedroom improperly secured. Many extra nail wholes POC at Camping World: Gabriel Bowling (Service Advisor): 614-879-9800 ext. 1214 *****Update: Better Business Bureau (BBB) Complaint (13094485) September 2018 I submitted the above complaint to the BBB and received the following response Camping World 1 October, 2018: The RV came in in July for a temporary fix on the roof, than came back in on March 2018 to finalize the rest of the job. Brian Jones Camping World Camping World 1 October, 2018: We have parts on order and we are going to fix the problem with there RV, hope this helps….Thanks Brian Jones Camping World I submitted the following response 1 Oct, 2018: I am rejecting the response because: The response from the company is not an accurate assessment of the events. The camper has been in their possession sense March 2018 and is currently sitting at their location. I was told by the service manager (Tommy) that the camper was finished and ready for pickup in September 2018. Upon our inspection no repairs had been made. His response was they did not successfully repair the leak and it was all new damage. The damage to my camper was MAJOR not a minor roof leak. The damage caused mold on the walls, roof, and bed. Badly water damaged the bedroom closet to a point that it swelled and fell apart. Their negligence and timeliness off repairs has left me no avenue to claim the lemon law. The company should be held liable. There is no way they can guarantee there is no mold left in the camper and I cannot put my family at risk. I have lost two summers of camping and have had to pay on the loan. The response to this claim goes against the values camping world advertises in their store. I find it hard to believe senior management would allow this. Regards, Michael Donaldson Camping World 2 October, 2018: Acknowledge customer concerns: We are waiting on parts to come in to fix it. State the facts as you see them not emotions: It has a leak in the RV and we are going to take care of it. Its just like a house if the roof leaks you fix it you don’t get a new house. Explain the actions you can and cant take to resolve concerns: Ordering new parts to take care of the concerns, We don’t build the RV’s but we have a great service department to fix them. Thanks, Brian Jones Camping World I responded on 2 October, 2018: I am rejecting the response because: I am not emotional a little frustrated. You say order the parts but I have been told that for over a year. It’s not a minor leak it’s a major leak that has destroyed most of the inside front of the camper. It has visible mold spores. I am concerned that the competence of the service technicians is not where it needs to be. The only thing I will accept at this point is to speak to senior management and you are probably not the professional I need to talk too. You have disregarded all my concerns and only focused on what makes you look good. Please do me a favor and read my concerns and then read your responses. They avoid what is important, the safety of my family. I was completely satisfied with the camper “besides that I have been paying on it for two years and only able to use it a few times and now its unsafe in my mind because of the mold”

Camping World - Shady practices all around

My husband and I were looking at trading in our toy hauler for a normal travel trailer since we are done needing to haul toys. We had looked online for the units we were interested in and walked in the door knowing exactly what we wanted to look at. The first unit we looked at was totally trashed. The previous owners had modified the unit and their dogs had destroyed the table, benches, and couch which we were told they would not fix it was just being sold as is. We looked in the fridge and there was black mold everywhere...we were told that they do not detail any trailers until after they are sold and they would clean out the fridge. They had windows open all over so you know the trailer really smelled as well. And they were asking almost new money for a 2 year old trailer that was trashed. I would not pay even 1/2 of what they were asking for that trailer. We were then told that if we wanted to figure out the value for our trade to take LOW value on NADA and divide it by 2. Really? They are delirious. She tried to tell us that we would be better off purchasing the new trailer first, then consigning with them to sell our old trailer. Again, this is a win win for camping world. They get a new loan (we are not planning on financing anything) and then if your trailer sits too long they are counting on you just taking the low ball value for your trade in so they can turn around and sell it for at least $10,000 more than they gave to you for it. Shady. We walked away and will never set foot in another camping world. Go somewhere else.

Do Not Purchase from Camping World

1.3
Details
My Family decided to purchase a new Travel Trailer and it was a big decision for us. We did some research and initially weren't scared off by the bad reviews of Camping World. We decided to purchase a Coleman 3015bh and all the warranties that came with it. We used it for one season and traveled. The unit had issues. I brought it in for service and scheduled well ahead of time. Of all the issues none were really addressed the others I was told weren't covered under warranty. I complained... So they said leave it here until the Manufacturers Warranty Expires and We will "Try and Get it Covered under Good Sam Insurance." SCAM. Asked for refund of warranty. Waited 2+ months. Filed Complaint with BBB and still unresolved. Unit is 2 years old. We don't beat it up. Poor Quality. Poor Service. We were lied to. I asked them to back up their product and fix the issues. If someone pays 30k+ for something it shouldn't start falling apart within the first year? Awning,Doors falling out of ceiling, electrical problems, jacks, roof leaks, exterior fenders blowing apart on thruway, tires don't last 5k, glue joints leaking on tank valves, microwave falling out, slides jump all over, outdoor kitchen slide screws just falling out everywhere. Ran into the Sales Woman who is no longer an employee and she stated. "I clubbed you on that deal" Lol. Those things are junk and they are made by a bunch of *** Heads in Mexico." Really unhappy with my purchase and still owe 27k. Might last another season not sure?

Camping World in Roseville, California - New a Dealer who is Honest

We bought a new 2019 Thor Fourwinds 31Y- 8/25/18. Dealer said was Solar was included on the motorhome, yeah right everything but the solar panel on roof. Warranty - Got home reviewed the packet, starting filling out the warranty, turned the page over and surprise - the dealer was also to fill out the warranty. The fours hours we sat in front of lady doing the final paper work you would have thought both parties could have filled it out and mailed it to Thor at that time. But NO - Now they want me to drive 150 miles to Roseville to have them sign the warranty. For 2 of the hours all the lady doing the paper work pushed and pushed for us to extended warranty, some stupid tire blowout system and a protective cover for outside and inside the couch. Drove it home, checked it, out moved the slider out, ran water in the sinks - Guess what - water all over the floor When the slider was out the hose from the sink to the gray water was located in such a manner that in broke from fittings. Camping World said Well I've seen that happen a lot. Bring it back and we will repair it. Yeah right 2 hour drive for the to glue in back together. If they knew it happened before why didn't they take the panel off to see the connection? Now I going to see what Thor has to say. I will never, never do business with Camping World again. If I treated my customers with lies I wouldn't have any
