Camping World in Fairfield, Ohio - Disgusted Customer !!!

Bought a new Forest River Rockwood Mini-lite camper from Camping World in Fairfield Ohio on 9-11-18. On our 1st trip the electric tongue jack quit working ( it is an LCI 3500 ) and the furnace quit working. I called for a service appt. And was told it would be over a month to get an appt. I didn't want to be without my camper that long,at that time so I bought a Barker jack. On subsequent trips the handle fell off the refrigerator, the brackets holding the fresh water tank bent down and the tail light cover fell off. I called for an appt.on 7-28-18 they gave me an appt. on 9-11-18. I dropped it off on that date and after a month I called and had to leave a message did not receive a call back. I called again and spoke to Whitney she said she would call me back (three days later, no call. I called again Whitney put me on hold for 32 min. Then I was disconnected. Called forest river, their rep. Was rude and no help.

I posted the above Disgusted Customer!!! On 10-26-18 I went to Camping World at Fairfield ON to pick up my Camper finished or not as I had not been contacted back as promised on the 25th.

When I got there nothing had been done to the camper. Gary in service said if we would wait they would do the work that day. I believe he did his best to take care of us. They fixed the fresh water tank with heavier brackets,looks like a good job.

The tail light lens was replaced and the refrigerator handle was fixed. However in the process of moving unit the new Barker Jack I had replaced the non working LC I original jack with was broken (not happy) but accidents can happen. They replaced the jack with a brand I couldn't determine.They are supposed to be mailing me a check today 10-29-18, for the Barker jack,I will be satisfied if I receive that compensation. However we left Camping World and drove to Kentucky camping and the furnace quit working again.

When we arrived home the jack that was just installed was stuck and wouldn't lift trailer. As of now my warranty is out!

Waiting to see if I get a refund for the broken jack. Still disgusted.

3 years ago i purchased a hybrid camper from them, when i went to pick it up, they had it in a stall inside to show me the workings of the unit. They said that they couldn't unroll the awning because of the space we were in (red light) . So, i took the camper home and on the first trip we opened the awning and it was torn 3/4 of the length of it. I called and they said it was "as is" because it was a used camper. I fought with them for 4 months and finally they gave me the cost of the awning, but i had to pay the install. I was not happy, i thought they were very deceptive. Fast forward 3 years and we are ready for a class c motor home. We went to an event at NYS fair and saw the perfect coach we wanted and it was with Camping World . The salesman JUMPED on us and penned a deal quickly. I looked at the deal and it was giving me more than i expected for a trade, s i asked "is this right?" and he said yes, i need the deposit. We gave him $2k on the spot. Later in the week i decided to call Camping World to make arrangements for the pick up, and the sales manager looked at the SIGNED deal and said "there is a mistake" He said they "overstated the trade" .... here we go again i thought...... bottom line is they wanted $7k more. I said please refund my deposit immediately. from that point forward i was treated like a POS . 3 weeks later and i still do not have the money back!!!! They are giving me the run around. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! I bought a new class c at MEYER'S RV for less than the used one with the exact floor plan!!!!! Still do not have my deposit back!!!!

Wow, 3 RV complaints out of 8 posts right now ... cementing their position as the most complained of bigger ticket item receiving regular posts to this website. I'm afraid the sellers of such things must view their customers as "fish on the hook".

I bought a new camper in may and it has been at Roberts dale al store going on 10 weeks 2 pages of repair that there tech found now only going to fix one problem

We sold our home , bought a 5th wheel from Camping World , & went ( or was going to ) go full time RV. Ing...our camper is in the shop & we are staying with a relative, very inconvenient .Have had it a month. Been in shop twice with electrical prob. Like I said @ the title The Service From *** !!! We have warrenty, but they are trying to figure it all out , to pay, or not to pay ? Who can we boot out today, or who can we suck more $ from. Its our home now. Please call & let us know something, we call twice a day...just remember I warned you aboout the service work ,,,, its very SSLOOOW.... Wtf

Camping World in Gulf Breeze, Florida - Trailer leaking since day of purchase

No one will help... I was told by certified repair facility to get my trailer the *** off of their property- charged me to find a leak that they could find with the belly paper full of water. That was Lebanon RV Center in TN. No one at Forest River will help and no one at Camping World will help. I sent a video to Forest River customer service with no response. No one really cares - I bought all the insured that they have for nothing. I don't know who else to call.. left a message for corporate... emailed everyone at Camping World and Forest River. {{redacted}} does anyone care?

I had to go into Camping World and talk with a manager but finally able to cancel and received refund.

I’ve called multiple times and gave my information and email. I have yet to receive and email with what is needed to cancel the warranty since I’ve traded in the camper I’ve purchased.

Camping World in Nashville, Tennessee - . This is the biggest financial mistake of my life and I’m 76 yrs old

My wife and I purchased a motor home from Camping World of Woodstock Ga ! So wish we had read the reviews. They have turned our dream into a financial nightmare and we wish we had never seen this motor home. Paid $8600 down, $1600 property tax, $500 sales tax, and $940 insurance, made six payments of $680 and have been able to use the RV 2 days . Thor blames it on Camper World and Camper World blames it on Thor ! I’m here to tell you people service after the sale is horrible and we would advise you to go some where else. They have powerful attorneys so no attorney will take my case !

I took my adventurer in on May 18 for a check-up and let them know that I needed it back before September 1. When I took it in I wanted the inspection, oil change in both engine and generator, the mattress replaced, gas shocks for all compartments and bed, the washer/dryer replaced and air conditioning unit fixed along with anything that needed repair done. On October 1 drove to the business to get a status and found that the repairs were supposed to have been completed on September 25. On October 4 I picked up the coach and found that the steps were no longer working, when ask why the response was "that happens sometimes. This is partly my fault for going a second time in 5 years with the same result. Avoid this place like the plague, they are inept, deceptive, unprofessional and can ruin vacations. 5 months should have enough time to rebuild the entire coach

You get that type service at RV WORLD of GA. which is owned by Camping World.

My RV has been in the shop at RV World OF GA. IN Buford GA. over a 100 days since I purchased it in May. It has a lesk in the roof.

You should see the mess they made of the roof. I am fighting to get my money back.

Camping World in Montgomery, Alabama - Finance department are theifs

bought a rv from camping world in Woodstock ga, done all paperwork by mail. the finance guy mike kavanaugh told us we could redo paper work when we came in to pick up camper wrong he sent it all in with a lot of add ons that we did not want. bottom line is do all your paper work in the store if you buy from these thiefs. was told when we arrived that there was nothing that could be done so just beware. finance people at camping world are thiefs. be sure not to sign anything until you read each page. if you do it by mail be extra careful because they will lie.
