Poor service from the Grand Rapids Camping World

Purchased 2012 Forest River Class A. Been in the shop for warranty repairs more than on the road. 3 different occasions now for repairs and warranty service. Yes I have received calls and emails. Been waiting going on a month now and I find out after calling them that they no longer can the part. Give me a break, its a 2012 !!! I have a trip planned (reservations made) and we should be leaving in just over a week. And now I get a response of no parts.... I have contacted the Attorney Generals office under the Consumer Protections Agency. Filing out paper work. Would be nice if we could get this resolved, dont want anymore paperwork.

Camping World - CW Statesville service dept. is HORRIBLE!

The worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. I don't know how they stay in business with their service department. My camper was in their repair shop for 3.5 months and ruined my entire summer camping season. A leaf spring broke on my camper causing a cascade of other problems on my 9 month old camper-to the tune of almost $2400. Parts weren't ordered, phone calls weren't returned, no one knew what was going on or why it was taking so long. One story after another and no one at Camping World cared to find out what the problem was. Unbelievable. After spending hours on calls and trying to find out what was going on it was finally fixed. They then comically tell me that the warranty won't cover the repairs on the 9 month old camper. $2400 and was told they would ship the axle to the manufacturer for examination. Wait 3 more weeks for an answer and after many more unreturned phone calls find out it was never shipped back, there is a new service department manager, and they will no longer pay to ship axle back. I will have to pay. More $ on my nearly new camper. I recommend no one take their camper there for service. It was horrible. It's a good thing I don't do my job as poorly as these people do theirs. HORRIBLE experience!

Camping World in Mesa, Arizona - Pricing in annual catalogue not honored

Oct 27, 2018 Purchased a bicycle cover today and paid 49.00 for it, picked up there product catalogue at cashier and upon review found the same product for sale for 34.00. Drove back to CW and they said that price expired May 2018. Why would they be distributing and not honoring their catalogue pricing......through them away or honor the prices!!!

We bought a new fifth wheel camper at camping world in Rosford,Ohio. When we made our purchase, we agreed on adding toppers to each of sldeouts. After waiting a month, we contacted camping world to find out if they came in yet. We were first told they were already installed, guess what no they weren’t. Nicole.camping world sevice assistant, told she found the purchase agreement and yes the toppers were ordered and were in and could be installed,so we made an appointment for their installation. NOW THE FUN BEGINS!! Two of the three toppers were installed the third was not, because it wouldn’t fit. Much to our surprise the service manager, Austin, told us only two toppers were quoted, however no one told us this SURPRISE!! To make a long story short. After a lot of bickering and phone calls we had to settle with Austin and camping world on a item less than the cost of what the topper cost. To bad sir. Write me a good review and I’ll give you a $50 gift certificate, well here you go. Would I buy another camper NEVER!! We have other issue that haven’t been resolved yet. BUYER BEWARE. Make sure you get it in writing!! Note, the salesman did ok his boss messed it up

9 weeks to make a simple repair not fixed. Purchased 1-23-18 been in shop totaling 6 months purchased from Campers sold a bill of goods Elite customer BS you will be sorry finda different dealer Campers world really sucks.

We bought our 2016 Bullet from the Caldwell location a few months ago. I have been in to ask questions more than a few times. I have had nothing but good service from everyone i have talked to there. Very helpful. Now, I took it in too get it winterized. Trevor Fike was the person I had help me. He was extremely helpful and more than willing to answer any questions i had. The trailer was in and out very timely. I will continue to use this location and would highly recommend it to other RV owners. Once again Trevor Fikes was excellent to deal with. Thank you. Bought a new Forest River Rockwood Mini-lite camper from Camping World in Fairfield Ohio on 9-11-18. On our 1st trip the electric tongue jack quit working ( it is an LCI 3500 ) and the furnace quit working. I called for a service appt. And was told it would be over a month to get an appt. I didn't want to be without my camper that long,at that time so I bought a Barker jack. On subsequent trips the handle fell off the refrigerator, the brackets holding the fresh water tank bent down and the tail light cover fell off. I called for an appt.on 7-28-18 they gave me an appt. on 9-11-18. I dropped it off on that date and after a month I called and had to leave a message did not receive a call back. I called again and spoke to Whitney she said she would call me back (three days later, no call. I called again Whitney put me on hold for 32 min. Then I was disconnected. Called forest river, their rep. Was rude and no help.

I posted the above Disgusted Customer!!! On 10-26-18 I went to Camping World at Fairfield ON to pick up my Camper finished or not as I had not been contacted back as promised on the 25th.

When I got there nothing had been done to the camper. Gary in service said if we would wait they would do the work that day. I believe he did his best to take care of us. They fixed the fresh water tank with heavier brackets,looks like a good job.

The tail light lens was replaced and the refrigerator handle was fixed. However in the process of moving unit the new Barker Jack I had replaced the non working LC I original jack with was broken (not happy) but accidents can happen. They replaced the jack with a brand I couldn't determine.They are supposed to be mailing me a check today 10-29-18, for the Barker jack,I will be satisfied if I receive that compensation. However we left Camping World and drove to Kentucky camping and the furnace quit working again.

When we arrived home the jack that was just installed was stuck and wouldn't lift trailer. As of now my warranty is out!

Waiting to see if I get a refund for the broken jack. Still disgusted.

3 years ago i purchased a hybrid camper from them, when i went to pick it up, they had it in a stall inside to show me the workings of the unit. They said that they couldn't unroll the awning because of the space we were in (red light) . So, i took the camper home and on the first trip we opened the awning and it was torn 3/4 of the length of it. I called and they said it was "as is" because it was a used camper. I fought with them for 4 months and finally they gave me the cost of the awning, but i had to pay the install. I was not happy, i thought they were very deceptive. Fast forward 3 years and we are ready for a class c motor home. We went to an event at NYS fair and saw the perfect coach we wanted and it was with Camping World . The salesman JUMPED on us and penned a deal quickly. I looked at the deal and it was giving me more than i expected for a trade, s i asked "is this right?" and he said yes, i need the deposit. We gave him $2k on the spot. Later in the week i decided to call Camping World to make arrangements for the pick up, and the sales manager looked at the SIGNED deal and said "there is a mistake" He said they "overstated the trade" .... here we go again i thought...... bottom line is they wanted $7k more. I said please refund my deposit immediately. from that point forward i was treated like a POS . 3 weeks later and i still do not have the money back!!!! They are giving me the run around. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! I bought a new class c at MEYER'S RV for less than the used one with the exact floor plan!!!!! Still do not have my deposit back!!!!

Wow, 3 RV complaints out of 8 posts right now ... cementing their position as the most complained of bigger ticket item receiving regular posts to this website. I'm afraid the sellers of such things must view their customers as "fish on the hook".

We sold our home , bought a 5th wheel from Camping World , & went ( or was going to ) go full time RV. Ing...our camper is in the shop & we are staying with a relative, very inconvenient .Have had it a month. Been in shop twice with electrical prob. Like I said @ the title The Service From *** !!! We have warrenty, but they are trying to figure it all out , to pay, or not to pay ? Who can we boot out today, or who can we suck more $ from. Its our home now. Please call & let us know something, we call twice a day...just remember I warned you aboout the service work ,,,, its very SSLOOOW.... Wtf
