Bought a used camper from Camping World Rapid City in May of 2016. The 'agent' harassed me into purchasing an extended warranty (Good Sam's Club), which I didn't want and finally gave in after numerous assurances that it would pay for itself and they had a mobile repair guy (I had been clear from the outset that the camper would not be moveable... ) He also put in Gap insurance, which I also had repeatedly said I didn't want... due to circumstances beyond my control, I could not simply walk out and he knew it. But the real issue is the fraud. Knowingly selling me a warranty that could never be used. The warranty and the BS gap insurance added 25% to my total cost. They owe me $3700. They have a pattern of "responding" to complaints with "gosh we are so sorry, we are opening a case file" yada yada yada... but it's all for show. So now, I'll go public every single chance can to warn folks to never go there. I wish I had seen all the complaints about Camping World before I went there...

I placed a order with Camping World on the 4th of December. After a week 9 December 2018 I called for a status and was told by Camping World my awning I ordered will be coming from the manufacture "Dometic". I was told Dometic does not send Camping World status or shipping info on orders. I had to request them to call Dometic and get me a idea when I can expect my awning. They told me my awning had shipped. So, I waited another week. NOTHING, On 13 December 2018 I called Camping World again and asked them what is going on. I was told the awning was shipped, give a couple more days. I waited and on 18 December 2018 no awning and I called. Had to ask Camping World to call Manufacture, they did and then gave me a tracking number that Dometic had from Central Freight. Called on 21 December, no awning and guess what, I called Central Freight and the tracking number did not exist. Called Camping World whom called Dometic and came back and told me Dometic must have wrote down the wrong number. 26 December 2018 called Camping World whom called Dometic whom called Central Freight with the same tracking number and was told Central Freight had picked up my order today. Central Freight sent info on the shipment saying it was scheduled for delivery 26 December 2018 between 5 PM and 10 PM. Nothing, 27 December 2018 called Central Freight and was told they had to set up a delivery van for delivery and I would get it on 28 December 2018. Nothing,called Central Freight and was told the delivery was in a truck to large for delivery in a subdivision. They have to schedule a delivery some time time after the New Year. I will never deal with any of these outfits again. I guess Central Freight only had one drive>

Camping World in Dothan, Alabama - Service department review

Camper World in Dothan has the worst customer service department that I have ever experienced. Our 2018 camper has been there for 4.5 months for minor repairs and still not complete. They ordered the same part four times...the first part was the wrong part, the next two were broken. For the next repair, they ordered the wrong color. Once, after Camper World had the camper for four months, the service manager called to ask if we had the camper or if they had the camper...which I reminded them that they had had the camper for the past four months. We still don't have the camper. It took Camper World about three weeks to determine that our ten-month-old camper was still under the twelve-month warranty.

We have a 2018 Montana High Country 381TH. It was delivered to us in July 2017 but not opened or used until Late spring of 2018. Camper has worked fine until we had to turn on the furnace and found no air flow coming into the bedroom or the bathroom. We have good air flow and good heat coming from the ducts in the living room and kitchen but nothing in the bedroom and nothing in the bathroom. Try sitting on that throne when it is 28 degrees outside and no heat in the bathroom. Fast forward to where are today. I got instructions about where a tube coming from the furnace to the basement area was located and how the problem was associated with the tube maybe slipping off the connection to the rear heater ducts. I opened the wall and much to my surprise the tube appears to be intact and connected. I pulled the heater tube loose and again to my surprise I have little if any airflow coming from tube. This would tend to say the tube is either crushed, obstructed or cut open somewhere between the furnace and the basement area. This is entirely under the floor. All contained in the frame and no one wants anything to due with it. Since this is OBVIOUSLY a workmanship issue, how does Keystone justify not fixing the issue without me having to file on my personal insurance? They don't justify it, they just will not fix it... As a first time buyer of a full time 5th wheel, this trailer had the floor plan we wanted and the price was competitive but the service work and from what I can see from the posts everywhere the warranty system SUCKS. Unless things change, Keystone will not be where I spends the dollars for a new coach in a few years.

Would like to show that my top of the line RV cover didn't last a month and a half. You would think 350.00 would last longer. That was the est. Sale price. They cost more than that reg. At the top of my RV is a part of the gutter system that protrudes about an 2 inches out the backside. The cover which is supposed to be strong and durable, didn't hold up at all.

We purchased a Keystone 379FLOK and were billed for $12K in warranties (23% of the cost of the trailer!), all but one we specifically said we did not want. The only one we felt was necessary was the extended warranty since it has 6 slides and hydraulic Jack's. They automatically made it a 7 year warranty without asking us how many years we wanted it for. It took months of emails and phone calls that went mostly unanswered until we contacted the BBB and Illinoise Attorney General. Amazingly, we were issued the remaining money they owed us. This amounts to nothing more than retail theft! Will never do business with them again, even though we had a pretty good experience with their service department.

We live in Tallahassee FL. We called Camping World yesterday asking if the service people would check our tires of our new Winnebago before we take our Christmas trip. They told us to bring it in today and they would work us in. They pulled us into a bay and checked our tires and had us out of there in about an hour and one half. They were very friendly and helpful. And they said all was fine and they did not charge us!! This was a great experience and we have peace of mind as we head out Sunday for our Christmas adventure! 2017 FLAGSTAFF 207SE...TOOK MY CAMPER TO MARION WHERE I BOUGHT IT. HAD A BLISTER ON THE ROOF, WAS TOLD TO LEAVE IT SO THE FLAGSTAFF REP COULD LOOK AT IT. WAS CALLED AND SAID THAT THE ROOF NEEDED TO BE REPLACE.THAT WAS IN MAY 2018, WAS CALLED IN SEPTEMBER IT WAS READY. NOT... CAME TO PICK IT UP THE ROOF VENT WAS COMING LOOSE FROM THE ROOF, THE ROOF RACKS WAS NOT SEALED AND THE END CAPS NOT SEALED, TALK TO SERVICE TECH AND SERVICE MANGER, DUMASSES MANGER TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO STAY ON TOP OF THE SEALANT ON MY CAMPER... REALLY JUST GOT A NEW ROOF.WAS ASK IF I COULD LEAVE IT...ALREADY MISS HALF OF CAMPING SEASON.TOOK MY CAMPER HOME ANYWAY. They should be shut down. We should all do a class action law suit against this unprofessional and disgusting company. They are a disgrace. I know that if the thousands and thousands of people would get together we can make a difference and do a class action law suit against them. I truly wish we could and I would be there to fight for us the consumers. We should stand and speak and let them pay for all of the damage they have done to people. People that work so hard and have taken advantage of by this horrible company.

Yes is there a class action law suit? Bought a used RV from the camping world in Nashville, with them understanding and knowingly that it was going directly to Arizona for a Cancer patient to stay in.

They absolutely fixed nothing that was in the contract! Now out the cost of camper, cost of repairs, and this poor veteran with cancer is having to deal with all the issues along with his treatments!

I have been in business for 40 years and never experienced this blatant lying, deception, simple thievery! I originally thought it was just a single location but, have come to learn, it is on a national and obviously global scale that these criminals operate!
