Lack of action on request for refund on worthless maintenance agreement

Camping World of Oklahoma City damaged my travel trailer TWICE after purchase but before delivery. We noticed one of the items damaged, but did not find the other damage to slide out until we went on our first camping trip. Camping World said that the damage was not covered by warranty or the maintenance agreement! I asked the Service Manager what does it cover he said "not much!" I believe that Camping World is very deceptive in the selling of their maintenance agreement and operates a very shady business. I have been trying for 2 months now to get my agreement cancelled and we are still waiting for response from Camping World in Oklahoma City. Buyer beware!!!

They had our travel trailer for almost a year and did not even get an offer. I think they were using ours to sell their new ones. They charged us well over 200$ to inspect it and detail it when we left it with them . Which they did nothing to clear. While in their possession our tt was damaged by a large hail storm. At first they denied that there was any damage. After we drove out to see our tt, the damage was obvious ..They put a ugly patch on the roof and claimed that the water damage inside the front door was probably due to the water closet overflowing in the past. We picked up our tt paid them another 1000$ and took it straight to Wades RV in Gleenpool, Ok. There is over 8000$ in damage. The Goos Sam's Insurance which owned by the same person who owns Camping World is trying to get out of paying. Will be seeing a lawyer soon. I will not be buying anything from Camping World in Poteau. Horrible service and less than honest

You probably wanted too much money for your used trailer. The upkeep is still your responsibility, not theirs.

Liers about what they can do..

After multiple visits and discussions about what we wanted to spend and after two visits they run my credit and see I have excellent credit and continue to want money down after I told them multiple times no down payment. So I leave and several days later salesmen I have been in contact with me via text and has made the deal if I was still interested. Salesmen send me what the deal is and I agree. I then unload my personal items from my camper that I am trading in which has been appraised by the dealership and arrive at the dealership 45 minute drive and make contact with salesman and go to his office and have a seat because they haven't finished the paper work yet. After 30 to 45 minutes later salesmen comes in asking for money down again I told him no that's why I came back you said no money down and the payments would be $$$. Salesman leaves and another associate salesmen/manager/who knows come back in telling me that the deal can't be done without some down payment. I then tell him no and leave. I vow I will never return to any Camping World store as long as they continue to LIE and MISLEAD customers in to easting time and money returning to the dealership

Worse experience in new purchase!

Do not purchase from camping world in Byron! We have had the worse experience!!!! We purchased our new Salem camper on Dec 8,2019. At first sales person was great. I did tell him our budget but the first one he took us in, way over budget, and of course, that’s the one we bought. First lesson learned is to not look above your budget. Then we were there from around 1230pm til after 6 pm. They had an excuse that their computers were down. After we signed all the papers, they did a really quick 5 min walk thru because everyone was gone for the day. As a matter of fact, the guy that walked us thru got two phone calls and he was in a hurry. It was dark, cold and pouring down rain. They gave us two umbrellas and left us. Thank goodness my husband knows what to do. He had to hook it up by himself in the pouring rain. Then we left! Second lesson is to not purchase anything late in the day. Now there was a few things that needed to be repaired like dents in fridge door, insulation showing underneath, carpet stain, cushions on couch need Velcro. Plus it was suppose to have two big gas tanks. Well we get home and it had small gas tanks. They had to order fridge door. Finally after calling several times, the door came in March 2019. We took it back to get it replaced along with the other issues fixed and TVs hung. They said it would take 2-3 days. Three weeks later my husband calls to check on it and they said it’s been ready but no one called us. So we scheduled an appt at 2pm today to do a good walk thru and pick it up. We get here at two and we were told they just made a sale and the sale has priority walk thru so we had to wait but we could go look at it. We go look and the fridge door is still not replaced, the insulation still showing, the seal in window still out. Worse experience!!! More excuses!!! Never again! If we could get a refund we would!!! Third lesson learned is to not buy from camping world again!!!!

We bought brand new camper in North Conway. Total unprofessional staff. Went in first camping trip. All sewer pipes completely snapped. Brought it back. Had to wait 3 weeks for parts. Dealt with Bruce Mcdonald manager. Fought me the whole time whether parts would be covered. Accusing us of breaking camper. Got camper back and under service notes the tech indicated absolutely no impact involved. I wish I looked up reviews before purchasing. Worst experience ever.

Worst experience EVER!!!! Asked about a camper, told I’m service, you need to check with sales. Stopped at the front desk to check information on our Sam’s club membership. Cashier kept apologizing she is busy helping a new cashier. She would help us when she could. Went on through out the store and stopped another employee for assistance about sway bars, and told again sorry I’m sales, you need to check with service. Spoke with GM, Thomas Robson, who initially apologized and set us up with someone in service. She was helpful then tried to print the quote and there was something wrong with the printer. She gets help and printed the quote. Then she starts looking for one of the two people who can schedule the appointment. 10 minutes later, she still cannot find anyone. Frustrated, we return to Thomas who was the most unprofessional manager I have ever met. Instead of him trying to do some type of service recovery, his solution was “you seem unhappy with our services, so I think it’s best we just part ways”. I would strongly discourage anyone to ever support a business that is so rude and disrespectful to its customers. Good luck getting service and use caution if you enter that establishment!!! I have contacted camping world corporate. They said someone would get back with me, but that still hasn’t happened.

PurchSe new awning fabric

Have been calling Katy Tx store since 8:15 am this morning. No one has responded to my messages nor answered in parts. I had this problem with the new store in spring and waited for over 2months for my new awning and finally found out it was not ordered as I was told. Seems like we are going down hill now that the store has taken over gander mnt. I have been a member for a long while and never had any issues with the many items we have purchased or repair work done. I wonder!

I bought a Remco variable-speed water pump from Camping World for $168. There was no mention of buying an extended warranty for it until I got to the store to try to return it after 3 months of use. The box plainly shows two year warranty on it. The store says you have to buy the warranty from them at the time of purchase in their store. I have since found out that that warranty is useless because you have to return it within 90 days in the original box in new condition. Please try to share this with everyone you know that has an RV. The law ought to shut them down for false advertising warranty fraud.

Oversized padded arm chair

Traveled 120 miles to get these chairs manager told us they never came In and he did not know if they ever would. No substitution was offered. This was the Palo Verde store In Tucson. Theft of deposit

You told us our camper was ready. We gave you 500$. Deposit. And started the trip from ct to New Hampshire with a cashier check with the valve to pay you for our beautiful camper. Could not wait to get on the road and start exploring. A stones throw from your facility you called and said our camper was not ready. Then we heard the truth. You could not reheated her in New Hampshire because she needed so many repairs and two weeks later you won’t give us our deposit back. Sir you are a thief! I will NEVER do business with you and WILL TELL everyone who will listen how dishonest you are. We are senior citizens and need that $500. GIVE IT BACK TODAY. Sad

Spoke with KC from Albuquerque after I checked the trade in value of my travel trailer and also checked the value of the trade-in price. These guys tried to rip me off at camping world by at least $3000 dollars. Also wanted to charge higher than the prices then what the online prices said, one said 19900 then when asked they told me 29900. I would say that it is false advertising. If any veterans want to buy a travel trailer dont go to camping world, espcially in Albuquerque.

I have used Camping World for purchase and service in California and Oregon—they were great! Woodstock Camping World ranks at the bottom of all my retail service experiences. First, promised service in three weeks only to Be Well told it was an additional 3-4 weeks to access a technician; Second, Multiple miscommunications by the service associate Christina; Third, overcharged by $80.00; Frustrated by the service associate’s refusal to review the work performed.

Was humiliated yesterday at Kissimmee outlet

As My travel companion died unexpectedly, I had to spend sometime in the tourist trap known as Kissimmee. I don’t like towing the large 5th wheel I own by myself, and thought I’d enjoy shopping at Camping World for something smaller and newer. Turned out to be a horrible, surreal experience. No sales people to be found in the lot. I even chatted awhile with an older couple also wondering if there was anyone to help them. Turns out you have to go inside to request help. I then asked the receptionist for assistance and went back out to look around more. 20 minutes went by. Still no one. I return to the receptionist and now there are 7 sales people standing around in their blue shirts. Again, I asked for help. A sales person said I’d have to “sign in”. “Sign in? Since when do customers have to sign in for the privilege of looking over merchandise?”, I asked. “It’s our policy”, he responded. I didn’t want to comply and he told to leave the premise. I left confused and feeling humiliated. In retrospect, I believe they were profiling me as indigent as I came in riding a bike (an upscale Magnun e-bike, but hey, I must be indigent, and so what? Everyone deserves to be treated with basic dignity). I don’t see this joke of a company being around much longer. Taking my business elsewhere and I’ll NEVER patronize another Camping World. I’m even thinking of never renewing my Sams membership, lol
