Camping World in Sioux City, Iowa - Horrible horrible terrible horrible service!

We have some stitching come loose on the 2nd time! We used it. * no problem *. We told them about it. Well, you have to bring it here so “we” can take a picture, so we drove 200 miles total and brought it. ***well, they were redoing the parking lot and there was no where to bring it in- so we went to the office- long walk- and I went right into the Shop and told them what we needed. About an hour or so- they went and took the pictures.** and we went back home. About a month or so, my husband gets a phone call- that they had misplaced the pictures and wanted us to go take some more. Well, by then we had it in storage with the slide in and cold- but we went there and crawled around on the floor and took all kinds of pictures. Needless to say: my husband is 70 and we are not good at crawling. **ok it’s all good- sent the pictures and they are wrong! Yup! *** we needed the Law Label *** so we go back again! Can you believe this! So! Next** I get a email and Shawna- who was helping us Is leaving the company and she gives me Jose’s email and I Emailed him and it comes back! Undeliverable address! How much should I go on!. Get my point! And it’s not done yet!

Please just get a recliner and fix it! I have had it up to my neck with your poor excuses!

I paid you guys a lot of money- and I just want it fixed in a reasonable time frame! It’s been since - not completely sure- since October and haven’t heard back from no one!! This is unexceptionable service. 5 months!

What do you think? ***** fix my recliner *** And hope to God that nothing serious goes wrong! This should be a simple fix.

Because you guys have been a poor excuse for a business! I read and heard bad things before I even went there- and NOW I know!

Camping World in Vancouver, Washington - Disappointing

We went and bought a used trailer from this company. It was a 2017 and was told it would go through a inspection and certain things would be fixed. We went to pick it up the first time and nothing had been done to it. So went back a second time and the repairs still had not been done so on the third time things they said they fixed had been done. Then got home with it and found other things that were still wrong or broke. I am not sure what kind of inspection this company does on a used vehicle but can not believe they would send out a rig that the holding tank valves do not work the awning does not work and there are other little things also. Realize it is a used vehicle but come on if someone was living in the trailer would they not make sure everything worked properly.

Camping World in Topeka, Kansas - Merchandise Certificates

Details
These are a joke. Was told when I joined I would get a $50 gift certificate to use whenever I wanted. Was told I could order online since I’m in KS and not near a store. Received 2 $25 certificates that could only be used within a certain amount of time. Was told they would cancel the 1st one and send a replacement that would work at a later date. Still no certificate. Was told to call before I ordered online to let them know I was ordering with my certificate. Now I’m told I have to pay for it first, print out my paid invoice, mail to them and they will reimburse me. What a crock of *** I have read tons of major complaints against this company and in hindsight, would never had joined. Guess it’s time for a trip to our Attorney General’s office to file a complaint.

Camping World - We had a salesman David Eanes. He was such a great help to us a gave us a great education in Motorhomes as we knew very little. He was kind and patient and made this stressful venture fun!!

The numbers man Nick was abrupt and rude like we were dummies that didn’t deserve his time. Sorry but that is vibe I received.

They have completed half if the repairs. Waiting on parts to finish the remaining repairs

Original review posted by user Feb 03

Below is a letter sent to Camping World headquarters and Keystone Owner's Relations I am writing to you as my last hope of getting a resolution regarding warranty repairs to my 2018 Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel (4YDF28324JC502989). I purchased this unit in April 2018, at the Camping World located in Bakersfield, CA. I am a Law Enforcement retiree and my wife has been retired due to a disability. We decided to purchase an RV so we can travel during the summer and take a break during the winter, in our home base in Alabama. We basically live in the RV. While doing the orientation, a few issues were found. The hose for the outside sprayer was missing. The top, cover, of the kitchen sink was also missing. As far as I know, this items were, knowingly, removed from the unit in order to replace items missing in another unit. The hose for the sprayer was replaced with another from other unit as well as the kitchen sink top. The dining table was ripped from the floor and the sofa-bed was ripped from the wall. Their solution was to put the, table and sofa’s screws back in the same place, where they originally were. They all came loose during the trip and I had to put new screws so I can safely finish the trip, without furniture bouncing all over. The Bakersfield service department was made aware of all of this. When I tried to use the Water heater, it didn’t work. Mr. Benjamin Hutchins (bhutchings@campingworld.com) sent a repairman that they use to do repairs on-site for their customers. Toward the end of June 2018, we embark on a 12,000 miles trip around the country. Soon after, and before we reached our first destination, the latch on the passenger side LP tank storage compartment came loose and lost. Then I noticed the door was wide open and banging the side of the RV. I Pulled over and secured the door with duct tape. In Oklahoma, I had a tire going flat, and when the assistance sent by Good Sam Road Assistance, removed the tire, he found out that one of the lug nuts was crossed threaded. He replaced the tire with the spare tire and I had to continue our trip with a missing lug nut. The driver side skirt, over the RV wheels, lost most of the screws and almost flew open, and could had caused an accident. I checked the screws in the skirt on the passenger side, and they were about to come off. More duct tape on both side. The slide seals were damaged and replaced. The slide’s seal were damaged again. The parts were ordered but one of the parts was the wrong one. When I traveled back to Alabama, the slide’s seals were sent with me. They still laying behind the recliners, in the slide. When I left Bakersfield, some of the issues were approved for repair and the proper work orders were transferred to the Camping World in Dothan, AL, which is the closest Camping World to me. As of the writing of this letter, I haven’t heard from Camping World, Dothan, AL. During our trip back to Alabama, due to my wife specialists appointments, we rested at a truck stop located in Flagstaff, AZ. That night the temperature dropped down to 33 degrees. I proceeded to use the furnace for the first time. Everything went fine until the furnace quit working in the middle of the night. After several attempts, trying to get it going, it didn’t work. Upon my arrival to Camping World Dothan, Al, Mr. Daniel Paulk (daniel.paulk@campingworld.com) (866-504-3880), checked the thermostat and found a burnt fuse. He proceeded to tell me that they “don’t have that type of fuse in stock” and told if I wanted the furnace going, I have to go the a local car parts store and get one. I couldn’t find one. That was his solution to the problem. He never offered to help me in any shape or form. I was left there, in the parking lot, to find a solution. After several attempts to communicate with anybody in the service department, they suggested, and provided the information, for me to call Scott Johnson (334-258-5905) (334—701-7472) (Fax: 334-403-8054) of Vacation Services, so he can look at the problem. Mr. Johnson, is a preview employee of Camping World, Dothan, and he services warranties for several manufacturers. He found out what the problem was, contacted Camping World, Dothan, Al, but nothing was resolved. Other things that need to be added to the repair list are: Skylight over shower, the screws were driven through it and they are barely holding it. The window panes in the dining room, were overlapping and when my wife went to open one of it, it shattered in million pieces. A bolt that holds the A/C together was broken and since is not tight, on that end, it leaks when it rains. The power cord male end needs to be replaced. The work needs to be charged to Camping World, Bakersfield, CA. They offered to replace it at no charge to me. A light lens, in the bathroom is cracked. The Camping World, Dothan, customer service has a lot to be DESIRED. They are not only a DISGRACE to the values of the company they work for, but also the values of the manufacturers they represent. I have never, ever, in my life, have been treated the way I have been treated by them. They don’t have a clue as to what customer service is. I’ve contacted Keystone Owner’s Relations and spoke with Ms. April Goodman (case: JC502989)(goodp@keystonerv.com)(866-425-4369). After explaining my situation, he contacted Camping World, Dothan, AL, and after several tried, she was able to intercede on my behalf. They told her they’ll get in touch with me within a couple of days. As of the writing of this letter, they haven’t had the DECENCY of contact me in any shape or form. I have complete documentation including photos. Due to emails size limit, I will be glad to burn everything in a CD and mail it to you.

The CW service department at the above mentioned location has had my 2018 Thor Freedom Elite for 5 months and counting. I called on 2/1/19 @ 8:37am. Spoke to a senior advisor and I requested to speak with a manager. I also asked for a email response for my records. The email response was vague and and not supported by any information. I waited over a hour for a phone call from a manager. Never received a phone call. I took the next step in protecting my interests. I submitted a complaint to the BBB. Last evening 2/1/19. I received a email from another senior advisor who was named in my complaint. Saying my RV will be ready by mid next week. All this does is raise alarms to myself. I feel they are putting band aids on issues that were covered by my warranty. I never received a detailed record on when my RV was worked on (which I asked for) who did the work and when. The customer service was obsolete. They say the right things to your face and don’t back up anything! I want a extended bumper to bumper warranty to ensure that the “work” was done properly. If you stand behind your work. Make it right. I also have a detailed record of any all communication to CW.
