Camping World in Anderson, California - Looking for new couch in our C RV

We had been looking for a different couch or chairs for our class c motor home. we have only 22 in. in in our door way so saw some pieces in the camping world brochure and thought we would look into them as they were narrow enough to get them into our RV and than put them together and make a small cough with recliners.Saw them at another camping world in Washing on our travels and decided to order at Redding, Ca where we live. The brochure said 112. to put into our motor home, bu it turned out to be per piece. Also talked about charging us for shipping to the Camping Location and even charging 7.50 for shop rags. We were not happy as the way it was written in the brochure not 112. per piece and got pretty expensive. We happened to come across a co named Best and bought in Redding locally. This couch backs come off and fit veery easily into the RV. Good company and seems to be made well and very nice looking. Saved us about 300. My husband installed it himself...for those wo have this problem check with the Best.

So you're pissed because you shopped around, did not buy from one place where you did the math and realized it was per item, then found a better source and it all worked out? Or are you pissed because you type like c r ap, can't spell and have bad grammar?

Camping World in Portland, Oregon - Lip service

I had Camping World install a aftermarket product on my RV. I was called that day and was told my RV was ready for pickup. I called and asked if I could come the next day and that was okay. When I got there (Over 50miles oneway from my home.) I was told there was a problem. I was told that they were taking care of it and I could update the tuner from my computer. I e-mailed the manufacture and they said go to Camping World for this. I called them and they called me back saying I had to bring in my RV for the fix. I said for gas money I will. You should have told me this problem in the first place. They told me a technician will be out and fix the issue the next day. I called 4 hrs later, all is good but he said he could not return my tuner till later this week, to busy. Really!!!! I was told THAT DAY. Sorry. I will never do business with Camping World ever again.

Camping World - BEWARE of On-line Ordering

We are in the process of leaving out-of-state for the summer and needed several mandatory things for our travel trailer. On 5/27/13 we placed on order on-line and received email confirmation that our order had been received and was being processed and ship date would be 5/28/13. On 6/4/13 I contacted the customer service phone number to see about the status on the order and at that time I was informed that a) the order had never completed processing b) that there is no check point between orders placed on-line and processing orders so that customers could be alerted there was a problem and that Camping World supposedly has no idea there is an actual problem until a phone call is received c) that I would have to re-order the entire order again and d) that it would ship as late as 6/6/13 and arrive as late as 6/14/13 and Camping World could not guarantee we would receive our items in time for our 6/15/13 departure. So for all Camping World consumers, should you place an on-line order PLEASE follow-up with them immediate to ensure your order was received and is being processed.

Camping World in Addison, Texas - Very Poor Customer Service

I took my camper in for warranty service and for 17 days no one worked ob it . I called to check on it and was told they lost the paper work and they would call me back . No one returned the call so I called back and got a different story but still nothing had been repaired. I called 2 days later and inquired on what was going on with my camper and that I was getting aggravated. I was told that I didn't need to have an attitude because it wouldn't help matters and if I wanted to have an attitude I could come and pick up my camper and they would not make repairs. So I had to contact the service manager and talk with him but 20 days after I dropped it off I have to pick it up for my family vacation and take it back when I return so that the work can be completed that should have already been done .

Camping World, Akron, Ohio, Service Dept. Terrible Experience

Sent a copy of this post to Camping World....did not get any response from them at all, and really don't care. They have lost our business and I will be sure to let others know.

We are making arrangements to do business with another RV place in a nearby town, who has no problem replacing stuff we request to be replaced without charging a diagnostic fee to do so.

Camping World is a true rip off, especially the one in Akron Ohio! BEWARE IF YOU ARE GETTING YOUR CAMPER WORKED ON THERE!

We called Camping World of Akron Ohio because we had a Forest River Wildcat 5th Wheel that needed a Gas Solenoid Valve on our hot water heater, because it was not working properly. We asked for an appointment to bring it in and have it replaced. We had already asked a technician on Forest River Forums about our problem and knew that we needed it replaced. Of Course, we were told, to bring it in, and we could wait for the work to be done and take it home the same day. It would only take an hour or so. We ended up having to leave it, and they had it for 1 week. We were then told when we made the appointment that the part was $59.95, plus labor. But the Service Manager claimed that his people would never tell us that. After that mix up, when we brought it in, even after telling the girl at the desk why it was coming in, the paperwork had the technician looking for a darn water leak. We were forced to leave the 5th wheel there, because they did not have the part they claimed to have when we called in. One week later, we were sitting there waiting again while they replace the part (gas solenoid valve). The representatives in service were rude to us and when I asked for a Service Manager I never got him, when we were to check out. One lady there, not sure who she was, was arguing with us about there charges. I made it clear to her, that we were not told about a diagnostic charge for the gas solenoid valve because we were told there would be a charge for the part and labor only. Furthermore, why would I pay $59.95 for that when I already knew what we needed on the hot water heater. They gave us some line and dance about safety and they cannot replace that unless they check it out first. What if I just want a new part on my hot water heater? They also were threatening to hold our camper hostage because now they claim that both our gas tanks will not shut off! What? When we brought it in the technician had no trouble with the gas tanks. They were claiming that we need (2) new tanks otherwise they could not let us leave because of safety issues. We ended up signing a waiver of some type, did manage to leave, and got the diagnostic taken off, but got a lecture from one of the representatives in service this is there rule and for the next visit to remember this. I told her there will not be any more visits to this Camping World, ever. When we got home, my husband found not one thing wrong with the gas tanks, as we had thought, because we had just had one filled 3 weeks ago and the valve was checked then and there was no problem with it. Needless to say I have absolutely no confidence in this Camping World in Akron Ohio and warn anyone getting any work done there. Terrible service and they are just wanting to take you for all you got.

I agree with Amish girl. My wife and I just had a really bad day with them and I am going to publish the whole account on this site.

Someone in higher levels needs to know what is going on at the ground level as these people are costing the owners and Camping World a LOT of money in lost business due to these rude, incompetent people working at the Akron CW site.

I think its called Siprilla? Totally unsatisfactory service from Sales AND their service desks.

you hit the nail on the head there sir....they no.1 can not hold your rig because of a suspected safety issue. no.2 they just wanted to charge you a huge fee for extra work that you didnt need in the first place...tip. if there is a problem with your rig in the future..fix it yourself..there is enough info online now to do almost all without taking it to these crooked dealers...just take the time to get the info needed to handle it on your own, take care.

Camping World in Portland, Oregon - Promised vehicle sold out from under us

We put earnest money down on a motor home in Wood village with camping world. and was told we would get called with its ETA the next day. Nothing, and no response to calls or our emails. Two weeks later we were told they had sold it already to someone else! Really?! We were planning our dream trip from coast to coast after our retirement! How dare they??!!! People, don't have your dreams crushed! don't even do business with these guys!! What does earnest money mean, Anyway?!?! Believe me, I'm telling everyone I can. This is not a way to do business!!

Camping World - Sloopy service work & Damaged my camper

Carried my camper in for warranty work at Camping World of Raleigh NC August 2012. 2 simple fixes they replaced a lot of parts without telling me ( fender skirt,awning tube, electric outlet and cable outlet ) they kept my camper 3 weeks and they did repair the warranty work but damaged more than they fixed and the bad thing is didn't tell me put a 4' scratch on the side told me to take it home and if I couldn't get it out bring it back also put an awning tube on it and it was bent and had a dent in the tube as big as a softball also the awning went up crooked from them putting a new awning on it ( was to only replace the fabric). said they would mail me the paperwork never got it. Carried it back in Jan 30 2013 to do minor warranty work and fix the awning from going in crooked they replaced the awning once again put the wrong one on it and didn't tell me I opened it up and saw it was wrong and they insisted it was my awning had to show them it wasn't put an hole in my rubber roof tried to say I did it along with messing up the awning rail and gutter rail bent it so bad it needed to be replaced had my camper almost 5 weeks Raleigh couldn't do it so they come got it and took it to Colfax after I contacted Marcus the chairman/ceo and was suppose to replace the awning rail and repair the roof they patched the roof and pieced the awning rail looks like ***. I bought this camper brand new only had it 14 months and they had it 2 months and 1 week out of the 14 months. I have contacted Marcus and the only thing he has done is said email me and I will take care of it nothing has been done but a lot of patch work that is sloppy and they keep wanting to come get it and patch it every time it has been to Raleigh or Colfax all they want to do is patch work it comes back worst than it went. All I have ask Mr Marcus is to step up to the plate and do what is fair to me and my family this is our investment.

Camping World in Seattle, Washington - Wall blew off 5th wheel

We purchased a used 5th wheel from Burlington, Washington Camping World,paid cash for it,and made it 9 miles down the freeway before the bedroom wall blew off,nearly causing several accidents.We exited at the next exit,took pictures and e-mailed them to the two salesmen we had dealt with.We were fortunate enough to be able to purchase some nails at the c-store and find some scrap wood to nail down the rest of the fiberglass siding and limp it the 100 miles home.Two weeks and phone calls later, we still havent heard back. Now have a tarped up unusable wreck in my yard.

Camping World in Flagstaff, Arizona - Totally disapointed

We purchased a 37 ft gulf stream coach at the flagstaff dealership. It is used. When we purchased it we were told we would have to leave it for a week so that they (the dealership) could go through it and clean and repair any thing that needs fixing. So a week later we pick up our coach and our life long dream we have worked so hard to attain was realized.. Boy we are happy...until we take it to an rv park near by we plug it in to the 50 amp power connect to the water, and Then....as I went to hook up the sewer line..I removed the cap to place on the hose Raw Sewage Poured out all over meeeeeee..Wow really...Then my wife uses the microwave one time and it quits... Then we find the slide in the bedroom leaking hydraulic fluid...and then the electrical problem...The 50 amp system wont charge the batteries for the coach, which is leaving us without heat amongst other things. The reason the heat is important is we live in Flagstaff, Az.where it is still in the 20s and 30s at night.So I call the dealership to discuss these issues and am told it will be taken care of. I try to set it up so the dealership will come pick it up repair it and bring it back. Initially I am told they cant do that....Really!!! we haven't even had this thing for 30 days...Then I'm told that the rep whom told me they'd take care of it has quit and only passed on that it needs to be cleaned...So I call Bill the GM and he says we will take care of it and ten minutes later a tech shows up Drunk by his own admission to our rv site and does nothing but drink a beer as He walks around looking at my complaints...so next day we drive out to see the GM he passes us off to the service manager who in turn says we need to address the heating issue so he took my number saying he would call that afternoon to set up a time for a tech to come by...that was three days ago still no phone call and heat.so this is where we are at left....nothing resolved...a dream in disarray all due to the neglect and indifference of the dealership...Really camping world!!!!! what a business you have....

Camping World in Boise, Idaho - Trailer On Consignment Agreement

I listed a trailer for them to sell for $3258.00 if sold I get $1350.00 O.K. Thats GOOD. My Trailer was 20 years old Everything worked Good I Owned it for 10 years. Then Ichecked on line,was $3258.00 Then I checked a couple monthslater was $8858.00 I knew it would not sell. So 2 days before before my Agreement of 6 months. I gave 24hr. notice that I will be in to pick it up next week. I told the Consignee the mistake.So 2days again to sell @ $3258. NO SALE OF 6 MONTHS THERE. I took It home, put a FOR SALE on it.I SOLD it in LESS THAN A DAY FOR $2495.00 I bought a trailer the same day I listed my old one, they almost got aNO SALE FROM ME as they HIT ME WITH THE $499.00 DOC FEE. I can see $49.00 for 10 minutes of doing paper work. But $499.00 I'll NEVER CONSIGN,OR BUY A TRAILER FROM CAMPING WORLD AGAIN!!!!!!
