Camping World in Hammond, Louisiana - Marvin Gros

I scheduled a repair service on my Wineguard Satelite Antenna that was under warranty. The technician said the electronics were bad and my extended warranty was not registered. I paid Camping World of Hammond for my exended warranty and they failed to register it. I am leaving for vacation so I had to buy a new antenna for over $1500 so I could enjoy my vacation. No one new nor tried to help only thing camping world did was register my extended warranty and I would have to wait 3 days then send it off to wineguard and if it was more than $500 they would give me a new one. What a rip off by camping world. I have the old satelite and will fight until I get my money back.

Camping World in Chicago, Illinois - Bought motorhome. Turned out to be junk.

I worked with Jon to buy a 2003 Motorhome. I told him my wife had cancer and couldn’t travel without a bathroom and a bed. He told me the only thing the motorhome needed was new tires and re-upholster. I bought it they delivered it since she couldn’t travel. Tried to use it one night. Coach/chassis switch doesn’t work so no power unless the engine is sunning or plugged in. The water system had so many leaks the whole rv had to be re plumbed. Everything from the toilet to the sinks had been frozen. The kitchen faucet had froze and been unhooked. The main slide canopy is gone, the rear slide doesn’t slide. The leveling jacks don’t work and had to be replaced. The engine hadn’t been serviced in almost 10,000 miles. There were wires burned off due to water leaking on wiring. I was told that this RV had been gone through and was ready to go. I would say I have different ready to go standards than this. The repair timeline might out live my wife!

Please contact me to help build a Facebook page for all of us that have been screwed by Camping World. There isn’t much we can do to fight this money hungry corporation, but if we can keep one other person from their greedy clutches it’ll be worth the effort. http://www.facebook.com/pages/ Unhappy-Camper/ 595811997105605

Yes I think that if everyone filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Attorney General's Office, I bet we would see some action! I have every intent of filing my loss $15,000 plus due to mold, leaking roof, same stories as everyone else-plus all our improvements invested-I have had it with wasting my time with nonsense. I paid for a product in good faith-they did not do the same.

Camping World in Traverse City, Michigan - Rip off prices changes

Today I visited Camping World (Wyoming, MI) a place I had heard about and seen ad's from. I found what I was looking for and looked at the price, two prices, Regular Price and Our Price. The Our price of the regulator valve was $10.99 on the shelf but when I went to pay it rang up at $14.35 !!! a 40% increase so I ask why and the clerk said I could join their club for $25 and I told him, "I drove 50 miles to see your store and you want to add 40% to the price or charge me $25 to join your club, what a scam". He replied, "but you got a good deal and saved money", I responded, No last year I bought the same type valve at WalMart for $8.99 but I came here today to visit your store". I told him I would never be back. What a scam.

Sticking their customers with adding years to memberships, extended product warranties, and roadside service are what Camping World is all about. Not customer service.

Camping World in Clarksville, Tennessee - Seven different prices for repair work!

We requested quotation to repair m/h rubber roof by phone for insurance & got one, then took it in a couple months later & price increased $250, as quote was 62 days old. Quote valid only 30 days. Took rig in & was called next day that $$ increased almost $1500. Didn't know there was slide topper, air horns, etc. on the rig and remove/install would increase plus added saw blade, plywood, duct tape & hex screws to original quote. After that we were given 5 more different prices before we picked up the rig. Got it home and it took my husband all day to clean the mess inside and out! Hope it doesn't leak!!!

Camping World in Dallas, Texas - Waiting 6 weeks for a bolt cover

It seems strange to me that Marcus Lemonis has a new show on TV that is seeking to enlighten all of us on how to turn around a failing business. When he is in fact the CEO of one of the most poorly run businesses in America today. The Camping world in Lowell Ar is probably the most disfunctional business I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have experienced nothing only poor attitudes and shear lack of care from almost every department. It is scary to think that these people are working on some RVs that cost over a quarter Million dollars. I have been waiting for 6 weeks on a wheel nut cover so that I can have my hub cap fitted. Finally I received the call to say that the part was in. I scheduled an appointment and dropped off my RV on Thursday. You can imagine my surprise when on Monday I received a call to say that the RV was ready to be picked up. When I arrived....... Still no hub cap. When I asked what was going on, I was told that the part had not come in yet. I of course ask why I had been called to tell me to schedule the service? I was then left to bake in the hot sun for an hour and a half while I wait for some one to find out what was going on. Their answer. I must have been lying about the phone call that I received.... When I played the voice message to them you could have heard a pin drop. I finally had to leave before I exploded as I pride myself on maintaining a professional image at all times. Today I received an email from the GM stating that he would be investigating the most recent incident fully. I am awaiting a follow up from the Gm.. I will repost results when all issues are resolved. Apparently Mr. Lemonis' new show is named "the Profit".... Obviously the title "the Service" would have been beyond rediculious!!! as with camping world, service does not exist.

Camping World in Charleston, South Carolina - Refrigerator problem

We washed the RV coach down with washer and thought water got into the refrigerator board. They replaced and the unit started working. He left off the recall unit since it was working. We went to Florida without a hitch. Came back and was told the recall unit needed to be installed. They installed and the refrigerator quit working saying open line. I called and was told it shut off due to high pressure. I told them I paid to have it fixed and it's not working. They would not fix further. I will never go back to Camping World again for repairs. I'm going to Tom Johnson in Marion, NC. The gal was rude and kept saying we're trying to help you. It sounded like bulls#@t to me.

Camping World in New York, New York - Not getting proper service or call backs.

Purchased hybrid camper with incomplete demo because hitch was not installed and after it was, place was closing. I took it home and when traveling had to do 30mi per hour due to improper installation of hitch. I called Camping World when I got home and was told someone would be out to fix it. Someone came out and told me what was still needed. We set a time to meet for work, in the meantime, someone came to my house when I was at work and he left the hitch and parts on the ground in the driveway and never hooked it up. I ended up having it done personally and when I spoke to Ellen in service, she said that they gave me roadside assistance. I didn't get road side assistance, they were supposed to come out and correct the incorrectly installed hitch and never did. I also told them of the electronic issues, my TV, DVD and radio had no remote so they gave me one. They relocated my TV and it hasn't worked since. Ellen doesn't return my calls. The sales manager, John has tried to be as helpful as possible. He left me a message to call him and told me he would have Ellen call me. I am getting no satisfaction from service. My sister was going to come down to Camping World to shop and I told her not too. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I lost three weeks of camping time, had to change plans for Memorial day weekend.

Camping World in Bowling Green, Kentucky - Liars, Liars and Liars

Took my camper to the Camping World in Bowling Green Ky. At first they told me they were going to replace the refrigerator and it would be ready in 2 weeks. Then when I finally got to go pick it up a month later I discovered they only replace the cooling unit for the same price I could have bought a brand new refrigerator! And to top that off they broke the latch to the refrigerator door. When I showed it to them they said you can go get you a spring and put it back together!! What a joke!! Beware of all Camping World places!!!

Don't bother making an appointment at Nashville camping world

It took weeks to get the appointment and we brought it up early to ensure it was there first thing in the AM. Guess what its 2 days later and they still have not looked at it. Picking it up and will find someone else to fix it. There are several RV repair companies (listed in the phone book or craigslist)in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area and I am sure they will want my business. They stole time from me. I could have had it fixed elsewhere and gone camping while I waited for the appointment and for them to get around to keeping their end of the bring it in we will take care of it deal.

Wow! What do they think they are?

Doctors? Glad I read your note here.

I was about to call for an appointment for an oil change, but I can't have the motorhome sitting on their lot even for one day. Too much to do before leaving Thursday morning for Gulf Shores.
