Camping World in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Shady dealings

Made a deal over the phone for my trade. They had inflated the trade in value and raised the price on the new unit to look better for the financing. When I arrived the determined value of my trade dropped significantly. Not disagreeing with that. So I come up with the extra cash down for the difference. Only problem is the extra 5k the price was inflated suddenly doesn't come back down. They thought they had me over a barrel as I had a wheel bearing issue 22 miles from the dealership. They can eat the new rig and all the extras I wanted in the deal. No way I will ever try and do business with that company again

Bought a Palomino camper from Camping World, Longmont, CO. They also added Good Sam elite with a $500 price. Turns out Good Sam insists the membership was free. And was for roadside assistance for a year. $500/yr roadside assistance. I got it on my auto insurance for...

I agree the Camping World Service Department in Golden/Wheat Ridge is a big joke. I had an A/C on a motorhome go out during 4th of July weekend.

I went there on Monday and after diagnostic, a new A/C was ordered. A week later, the wrong A/C came in. Then ordered a new one with expected due in date of 7 business days. New one came in with wrong color shroud.

New one ordered and shipped to Colorado Springs CW as asked. Installed new shroud and told them A/C wasn't getting cold enough. Two days later A/C broke again. Took it to Albuquerque CW.

New A/C ordered with a condensation pump than Wheat Ridge CW failed to mention they didn't do. Also technician put silicone in drain tube.

Albuquerque CW, Russ, Service Manager and Jennifer Housand, Service Advisor corrected all of my problems with outstanding respect, professionalism, and customer service. If you have a choice, avoid at all costs Wheat Ridge CW.

Camping world will not stand behind their work nor the products they sell

In July I scheduled an appointment to have a washer and dryer installed in my coach. The sales person sold me what they referred to as the top of the line splindide stackable unit. Nearly thre weeks later, they completed the two hour job the next morning I left for South Dakota. To my surprise, the first time I attempted to dry a load of clothes the clothes did not dry. It took three cycles for a small load to dry. Upon my return to Texas, I scheduled an appointment to have the dryer evaluated. However, I was informed that these dryers often take several cycles to dry a load . I know this is not true because I had the same brand in an older coach. After I insisted they check it out, they determined that the heating element is defective. This diagnosis took another 3 weeks. I was told the manufacture would cover the cost of the part but I would be responsible for the labor of removal and re installation of the dryer. This despite the fact that I just payed them to install the new unit. They take responsibility for selling a defective product. I will not purchases any further items from camping world, and will not allow the M perform Znyone service work on my coach. I will have a banner made and affixed to my vehicle expressing my dissatisfaction. In fact, I intend to hire someone , 8 hrs a day, to drive up and down the feeder road in front of the business. I hope I cost them thousands in business. They are not concerned with doing the right thing or taken care of customers .DO NOT PATRONIZE Camping World of Katy

My name is Craig Brazeman. To my knowledge, I am the only Craig Brazeman there is.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I have worked in the legal industry for nearly 30 years. I have never been involved with Camping World. I have never had anything to do with the sale and/or installation of washers or dryers of any kind.

I have never worked on or worked with coaches of any kind. It is my hope the author will remove this post and recreate their review identifying the correct person for which they have issues.

Camping World in Beckley, West Virginia - Gift card scam

on December 15 my wife placed order for one $100.00 GIFT CARD for Christmas gift for son. Card did not arrive for Christmas but one week after we received 10 10.00 cards but since they did not arrive in time we kept them to use. I sent the cards to my brother to purchase items in Statesville nc to use at retail store. Upon redeeming these cards the clerk in store indicated three cards had zero balance AND one had already been used. After complaining to management multiple times we finally wrote off to scam within their *** poorly run company.

Camping world does not stand by the trailers they sell

I  purchased a Kodiak travel trailer from Camping world at Tampa in May of 2013. Ever since I have taken the trailer out it has been nothing but trouble. The sales people are very good and professional  but once the service department takes over the story is very different.First , as part of the sales of this 40k trailer , I did my research with regards to the type of hitch setup I needed and I specifically ask for a particular type. After chasing the parts  person over the course of a few days I was assured they had the hitch I wanted. The day to pick up my travel trailer came and when it came to install the hitch I wanted, I noticed it was not the one I wanted and after I told the service part person he played dumb and told me that that was the one he had and if I did not want it I would have to stop by another day to pick up my trailer, like my time was not important and I did the mistake instead of them.I took  recommended hitch and needless to say I almost got into a wrenck since the hitch given to me by the dealer was far from adecuate. To sum up the rest of the story. I have taken the trailer back to the dealer four times due to multiple roof leaks ,shower leak and water damage to the to upholstery and wood trims in the slides .The latest being a broken A/C unit .Just today the service department had the guts to call me in order for me to remove the hitch they themselves installed  and that I had to get on my own at another place because of their mistake , since they state they cannot move my trailer to get it repaired with the hitch on. sure they can put the hitch   on and charge me but to remove it so they can work on the triailer is anathema to them !This is the worse place for you to get any vehicle or service at .stay away if you value your money and time .

I know what you are saying, to begin Camping World doesn't have any service tech that know what that know what they are doing. I had to take my motor home to another dealer to get simple jobs done because camping world would not do it. After the sale the service is ***.

Is there a lawyer out there that would take all these cases under a class action law suit. It seems like there is more than enough cases all over the nation to warrant a class action.

It seems like its more a management problem than anything else. I had mine 5months and down 2 and half months. My friend had his 2months and down 1 and half.

Ours were new. We caught

Ours from hope mills NC.

Four months in Camping World for Warranty Service

Our 2012 Dutchmen, Aerolite went into Camping World in Colorado Springs for warranty service on May 21, 2013. It is now August 20, 2013. As far as we know, the trailer has not been repaired. Tried calling them, service does not answer their phone and they have not returned our call. We are leaving Colorado for the remainder of 2013, on August 26, 2013...but can't find out the statues of our trailer. We can not recommend either Dutchmen products or Camping World. Dutchmen told Camping World to repair the front and rear caps...but then changed their mine to have them replsced.

Camping World in Madison, Wisconsin - Refund

We took delivery of a camper..just to be called 6 weeks later to say the financing didn't go through. They were quick to refund our down payment. However, when I told the store manager that we had purchased quite a few extras for the new camper. Some of which we had already installed. He said that was not a problem. He would cut me a check, if I had the receipt. I supplied the receipt, and have contacted the manager 4 times in the last month. He tells me that he will work on it. Either refund my $300 or give me back the things that I purchased. And the items were purchased at Camping World. When I looked at my credit report, as to why the financing didn't go through..I discovered they must have done a mass finance application, as I had 15 hits on my credit in a 2 week span. Thus lowering my credit score. My next step will be with the Better Business Bureau.

Camping World in Chehalis, Washington - LACK OF KNOWLEDGE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE STORE

I purchased a toilet seal for 28 dollars. The parts person told me it would fit any rv toilet. After getting to my trailer 160 miles away I went to replace the seal, then read the packaging and it was brand specific. The next weekend I went to return it. Again a parts person told me it would fit, hesitantly I went back to my trailer, took the toilet apart to find the seal didnt fit. My wife took the seal to return it, the clerk was rude to her and they only wanted to give store credit, she promply informed the clerk we would no longer be shopping at CAMPING WORLD, because of the lack of knowledge and crummy customer service, they will also miss out on the sale of the fifth wheel we are buying. We got the correct part at Curtis Trailers for 15 dollars cheaper. Camping world should employ people that are friendly and knowledgeable.
