Camping World - Promises broken

I took my camper to camping world in June for one repair but got *** *** load of damage and stress. I've spent the last almost five months trying to work with them but all I get is more damage and lies about why my camper is still not ready. A broke cable turned into water damage, bent sheet metal , leaking roof , and the problem I took it in for surprise still not fixed properly. Management and service cant seem to get it together. And corp. won't even return my calls. I don't know how much longer I can wait . This is a very bad way to do business in my book. I guess once you have made the sail and cashed the check the customer is out in the cold.

Camping World - Didn't get paid

The Lubbock Tx store manager Charlie Minick is a crook. He owes me pay. The local camping club members have stated that they don't want any business with Charlie upon several occasions. The service manager Clint Cox is responsible also. These two are quite the mess. They are in NO way management material. Clint just plays around with the staff and doesn't do his job at all. Minick had rather through knives at the plywood target on the sales tower floor than work. Then there's the number of people that have quit there because of these two fools. This store is OUT of qualified help. Where the *** is Camping World management to deal with this mess. I need my pay! A sinking ship for sure!

Camping world of Colfax poor service

We purchase a new travel trailer from camping world of colfax when we purchased we paid extra for a wax coating that keeps doors from yellowing also we paid extra for cushions to be treating so spills would not soak in. Both of these things were supposed to be done over the next two days. When I called to find out if the camper was ready to be picked up I was told to be there the next day at two o'clock to pick it up. We get there and apparently it wasn't ready. We were taken over to the service garage and met the service man whom I refer to as Mr personality he didn't smile barely spoke and seemed really aggrivated that we were there at all. Needless to say it wasn't ready. He was suppose to finish going over everything but he did a walk around to tell us the things we needed to know because we are first time camper owners. While going around we noticed that the end caps were off the bumper and sitting up on it not sure why they were taken off but they were also the storage compartments were open. I ask him about it and he said he knew and he would close everything before we left the lot with it. They were also installing a sway bar and to our knowledge were adjusting it for our truck may i say again we are first time owners and know nothing about sway bars. I questioned the service guy about the waxing because the camper was very dirty and he told me it had been done and I have no way to prove that it wasn't but it was awfully dirty. After being on the lot that day for about three hours our camper was brought over attached to our truck. We were getting ready to pull of and my husband had me to walk to the back to make sure the break lights were working and what did I find the end caps for the bumper still sitting on the back ready to fall off and the storage doors still open . We put the caps on and locked the doors up after searching for a key inside the camper to lock the doors with. We head down the highway and the camper was all over the road my father- in- law did the driving because my husband had just had surgery and he has hauled plenty of trailers with cars on them without any problems and so has my husband. We ended up having to pull off the road and my husband gets out to check the sway bar that they had installed and finds out they it had not been adjusted at all it would have been nice to know that before we left the lot. We have been out in the camper twice and on our second trip out my husband was leveling the camper went I heard this noise like paint cracking well all of a sudden the jack started coming back down the cracking noise I heard was the jack bending now the lot we were on wasn't very unlevel so it didn't have to go up much and we didn't have any extra weight in the camper because we put that stuff in the back of the cherokee. With all this being said we are very dissapointed with our purchase.

Camping World of Colfax NC...Cust. Service...Horrible

We recently purchased our first camper, a 2012 used Jayco pop-up from Camping World of Colfax, NC. The date of purchase was August 7th and we picked the camper up on August 9th for our first camping trip that weekend. We received a 30 day temporary tag which expired on September 9th. After numerous calls to the store and conversations with the person who handles the tag registrations with the Department of Motor Vehicles....we kept getting the run around and were told that it was the Department of Motor Vehicles problem and that the tag had already been mailed out. We were later informed me that it had not been mailed and that they were waiting on the title from the previous owner's bank. That being said, I can understand the title to a certain degree, but that does not typically hold up the process for receiving tags, unless someone isn't doing their job. After a final phone call from my husband who was extremely disappointed to Brenda, she was told to contact me directly with an explanation. Once again, the reason had pushed the blame back on the DMV office....this is simply inexcusable! If you have an employee who is not focused first on customer service and doing their job and has to blame others for their mistakes that person should not hold a position such as hers. This was a very disappointing experience and it will take a lot for us to step back into any of the Camping World stores from this point on. Oh by the way, we were promised a $50.00 gift card for our inconvenience when the new plate arrived. We received the plate two weeks after the temp tag expired and, guess what? No gift card to be found in the package!

After sending an email to Camping World headquarters, we received and email back apologizing along with a $25.00 gift certificate via email and then a letter and another gift card stating "you choose the amount"! Wonder what the catch is.... We haven't been back since the day we purchased the camper!

Camping World in Albuquerque, New Mexico - Shady dealings

Made a deal over the phone for my trade. They had inflated the trade in value and raised the price on the new unit to look better for the financing. When I arrived the determined value of my trade dropped significantly. Not disagreeing with that. So I come up with the extra cash down for the difference. Only problem is the extra 5k the price was inflated suddenly doesn't come back down. They thought they had me over a barrel as I had a wheel bearing issue 22 miles from the dealership. They can eat the new rig and all the extras I wanted in the deal. No way I will ever try and do business with that company again

I agree the Camping World Service Department in Golden/Wheat Ridge is a big joke. I had an A/C on a motorhome go out during 4th of July weekend.

I went there on Monday and after diagnostic, a new A/C was ordered. A week later, the wrong A/C came in. Then ordered a new one with expected due in date of 7 business days. New one came in with wrong color shroud.

New one ordered and shipped to Colorado Springs CW as asked. Installed new shroud and told them A/C wasn't getting cold enough. Two days later A/C broke again. Took it to Albuquerque CW.

New A/C ordered with a condensation pump than Wheat Ridge CW failed to mention they didn't do. Also technician put silicone in drain tube.

Albuquerque CW, Russ, Service Manager and Jennifer Housand, Service Advisor corrected all of my problems with outstanding respect, professionalism, and customer service. If you have a choice, avoid at all costs Wheat Ridge CW.

Camping world will not stand behind their work nor the products they sell

In July I scheduled an appointment to have a washer and dryer installed in my coach. The sales person sold me what they referred to as the top of the line splindide stackable unit. Nearly thre weeks later, they completed the two hour job the next morning I left for South Dakota. To my surprise, the first time I attempted to dry a load of clothes the clothes did not dry. It took three cycles for a small load to dry. Upon my return to Texas, I scheduled an appointment to have the dryer evaluated. However, I was informed that these dryers often take several cycles to dry a load . I know this is not true because I had the same brand in an older coach. After I insisted they check it out, they determined that the heating element is defective. This diagnosis took another 3 weeks. I was told the manufacture would cover the cost of the part but I would be responsible for the labor of removal and re installation of the dryer. This despite the fact that I just payed them to install the new unit. They take responsibility for selling a defective product. I will not purchases any further items from camping world, and will not allow the M perform Znyone service work on my coach. I will have a banner made and affixed to my vehicle expressing my dissatisfaction. In fact, I intend to hire someone , 8 hrs a day, to drive up and down the feeder road in front of the business. I hope I cost them thousands in business. They are not concerned with doing the right thing or taken care of customers .DO NOT PATRONIZE Camping World of Katy

My name is Craig Brazeman. To my knowledge, I am the only Craig Brazeman there is.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I have worked in the legal industry for nearly 30 years. I have never been involved with Camping World. I have never had anything to do with the sale and/or installation of washers or dryers of any kind.

I have never worked on or worked with coaches of any kind. It is my hope the author will remove this post and recreate their review identifying the correct person for which they have issues.

Camping World in Beckley, West Virginia - Gift card scam

on December 15 my wife placed order for one $100.00 GIFT CARD for Christmas gift for son. Card did not arrive for Christmas but one week after we received 10 10.00 cards but since they did not arrive in time we kept them to use. I sent the cards to my brother to purchase items in Statesville nc to use at retail store. Upon redeeming these cards the clerk in store indicated three cards had zero balance AND one had already been used. After complaining to management multiple times we finally wrote off to scam within their *** poorly run company.
