Camping World - Try to buy a A frame Camper on a trade in
They had a few A-frame campers available on May 21. I pick out mine 4 days ago and did the deal. While I showed the sales person the one I wanted he began to write down the stock number of the one I did not want because they were trying to sell me the cheaper one with out me knowing it. So when it was time to pick up I seen the camper and it was not the one I picked and of course they denied everything and so they did not make a sale and told me I had to pay 2,000.00 more if I wanted that camper. Maybe if they would of been honest in the first place on there pricing maybe I would of considered but to spend 3 hours of my time there thinking that I was getting the camper I picked out and even bringing my wife there 2 days later to confirm that is what she was happy with they well knew what camper I was interested in

Camping World in Fayetteville, North Carolina - After a 3 month issue finally resolved
Update by user May 22
Original review posted by user May 22This is an update to my review of the Camping World in Hope Mills, N.C. After dealing with a camper we purchased over 3 months ago that leaked, had black mold and all around horrible camper, we finally have a resolution. The service and parts departments were horrible to deal with and we were lied to so many times they finally got a young man named Tanner Wright in there and he has really turned that place around. He's had to let some folks go and get new employees in there and they actually act like they like their jobs. Plus they're eager to help you which was not the experience in February when we bought the leaking camper. We picked up our camper yesterday and the two guys helping with the walk thru Ryan and Gunnar were absolutely amazing! Let's just say that when we purchased our camper in February we had the walk thru and handed the keys and were told have a good day. So there we were to put our hitch parts on the camper and hook it up and it was such a bad experience but yesterday made my week. It was refreshing to be treated like someone wanted to take care of us and make sure we had what we needed. Such a change from the first time. I sure hope they keep Tanner and his crew. Now for the Sales department/finance department Jonathan Napolitano was the salesman for the first camper we bought from there and he was great and helped out a lot. Granted he didn't know the problems with the black mold camper and when he found out last week he did jump in and help out. The finance department and the GM of this particular store weren't as eager to get a resolution. I suppose it was the dollar they were more concerned with. They just kept giving us the runaround and never wanted to help. They would be all concerned and promise to get back with you in a few minutes but those minutes never came. So the GM was relocated to another store or canned or whatever and they got in the Anthony guy who made more promises and just kept blaming corporate (and it could've been corporate) but after 2 weeks of dealing with him no resolution. I had gotten in touch with several people from corporate including the CEO and a couple of them had to step in and help the situation. I do know that he (Anthony) was working on things behind the scenes but there's NO follow up with this department. I don't want it to look like he wasn't helping. He was but I feel like they were going to take a hit on the molded camper money wise so they didn't want to do anything since we said that we aren't paying more money down which is what one of the finance guys (Paul) said and our payments would go up. Ummm no! If he had returned our calls when he said it wouldn't have made us so angry. So this past Saturday we just showed up at 8:30 a.m. and of course given the we'll be in touch in a little while, we said we aren't leaving until there's a resolution. So after staying the day we signed papers on our new camper and left there at 5 p.m. We are very satisfied with the new camper and extremely happy that our payments went down. The service we received on Saturday all day and yesterday was great and I can see that the place is turning around and I'm so glad. After reading all the Google Reviews, Camping World Reviews and BBB reviews I just wanted to give credit where credit was due. There is hope that maybe they can model these people and all the Camping World stores will turn around and be a great place to do business with. Thank you Tanner, Ryan, Gunnar, Anna, Jonathan and Anthony. We are now " Happy Campers". L. Maxwell
Camping World - Pissed off customer
I went to camping world to purchase a camper for $13,000 it was used. I was also trading in my camper which they offered me $8,500 for mine. I did outside financing so they told me to go ahead and get it all brought it and we would pick up our new camper. We get to camping world and it’s 4:30. They tell my husband to unload the camper and go look at our new one. Once looking in the showroom they tell us they have a problem with our camper. We walk out and they tell us we have water damage all over our camper. We have never even had 1 leak!!! My husband gets pissed and yells at me and says let’s go this is a joke. He now has to load our camper completely back up. I ask to talk to the GM. They tell me he isn’t there. Then stutters and says uh,uh, uh here he is. So they clearly lied to me and didn’t let me talk to the GM. They I demand my deposit back. Which they say they can’t give me back now because it’s after 5 and they are closed. They assured me I would get it by Tuesday in the mail. Guess what, never received my deposit. So I call back and guess what? They have never heard of me , can’t find my name, so guess what now they won’t give me my deposit back. I call corporate and complain on them and receive a phone call from Richmond camping world. I call him back, never got an answer. I contact the sales guy I dealt with and he says it will be in the mail and should be there by Friday. So I’m still waiting on my deposit, and am reassured they will NEVER RECEIVE MY BUSINESS again!! They are very SHADY people!! Save your time and go to Modern Trailer Sales! They are the best
Camping World in Anniston, Alabama - Poor service
I bought a 2019 Dutchman Atlas in November, at your Oxford, Alabama location. It was winterized and not everything was checked during the walk around. I went camping on April 12th and found a few issues, but the largest issue was the black tank valve was stuck halfway open. Upon leaving as I went by the dump station, when I removed the cap, I was covered in sewage, I ended up getting a staph infection. I went to the service department in Oxford, Alabama, and they were unable to get to it by April 22, in which we were going to Talladega raceway. So they sent a tech out named Lee to see if he could do anything real quick so we could still go to the races and we made an agreement with management that we would bring it back right after the races. Lee cut the underbelly and we discussed what might be able to be done to get it closed. Well the valve got closed, but the cable is bad. So following the race we brought the camper to get the warranty work done and they wouldn't take it. We were told that they sold a lot of campers at the races and those ones come 1st. I lost my temper and raised my concerns to management and everyone else. They finally did take our camper, however I also purchased a wineguard Wifi and cell booster and paid $90.00++ dollars to have it installed even though they were advertising install anything for $59.00. They said it was for extra materials, so I just went along with it. This was on May 30th. They told me that they would have my camper in the shop in 2 weeks, and then they would turn it in to warranty. Well it's been 3 weeks now, and my camper still hasn't been looked at. We told them we have a trip scheduled to leave June 28th. to Sarasota, Fl., its paid for and non refundable, because it's for the Week of July 4th and the Offshore Grandprix is going on. I want my parts installed and my camper repaired. I dont want to hear your busy or short handed. Your poor planning is not my fault, if you lost employees it's not my fault either. With poor management comes high turnover, you need to look at them. I also have an extended warranty with Good Sam's, which you own also. No parts have even been ordered for my camper. The next phone call I make is to my brother John Murgatroyd the Executive producer with CNN in Atlanta. Maybe a good news story on your service departments issues around the Nation will be nice a news story. If you dont believe me, just Google my brothers name along with CNN or check his Twitter account. All I want is my camper fixed and to get the service I paid for Thank you, Keith Murgatroyd 256-419-3435 - this is so you can verify my good Sam's membership and look up my travel trailer

Camping World - Scam alert - warranty
I’ll make it quick. They ask you what monthly payment you want and then suggest 3 levels like $20 apart. So you pick one, who cares they’re all close. You tell them you don’t care so much about the payment first but want the APR. OK can’t give it to you yet until they run your credit score. That comes and then they go through the warranty. And the warranty runs about $25 more a month than the payment they anchored you at. You ask for an amortization table, uh no that’s only for mortgages is the response. Yeah ok, I was born at night just not last night. So that warranty looks like $25 a month when in fact they the actual payment for the unit you bought is FAR less (use a loan calculator on your phone please) the rest was a massive, in our case $20,000 4 year warranty. Long story short, we declined the whole thing. Just like your first instinct always should be, don’t buy the extra warranty. Do your homework, calculate it out while there. Simple. And you’ll see how they try to fleece you. We finally got our motor home after 3 hours of being held hostage at the “finance office”. I now ordered all my RV supplies from Amazon. This ordeal was unbelievable. It makes used car salesmen look like high-integrity salespeople.
Camping World Frauds
I bought a bran new Hyperlite XLR from Camping World of Jackson, Mississippi in January, 2017 with problems. The general manager, Justin was a rude jerk. Problems were, the bed brackets in the back and LED lights burning out. Took it back and waited a month for parts. They said it was ready and picking it up, an unprofessional girl Kaitlyn said she ordered the wrong bulbs. So I'm just, "Never mind!" and drive away with it as I needed it immediately and got bulbs later installed myself. I used it, and a month later the outside shower spigot starts leaking rendering me with no water. I take it back to Camping World r.cand two new guys in the service department promising to fix it. Chance, new service manager and a very rude Jason. Both lying frauds and refused to fix it under warranty, so I call attorneys, but none would help as well as Jim Hood Attorney General. It sat there for two months waiting on more lights. In the meantime Chance said he fixed the water spigot but lied. I told him and Jason I was tired of waiting on it, and picked it up. I've had this Hyperlite over two years, most of the lights have burned out, replaced, and window leaks repaired out of my pocket as they cheated me of my five year extended warranty. Now currently, a roof leak and water damage to a wall inside. Wish there was someway people could speak up and make Camping World held accountable for their frauds to consumers. Not just the Jackson, Mississippi location, but Memphis and many others.

Camping World in Logan, New Jersey - Worst customer service and a general manager who should be fired!
Worst experience EVER!!!! Asked about a camper, told I’m service, you need to check with sales. Stopped at the front desk to check information on our Sam’s club membership. Cashier kept apologizing she is busy helping a new cashier. She would help us when she could. Went on through out the store and stopped another employee for assistance about sway bars, and told again sorry I’m sales, you need to check with service. Spoke with GM, Thomas Robson, who initially apologized and set us up with someone in service. She was helpful then tried to print the quote and there was something wrong with the printer. She gets help and printed the quote. Then she starts looking for one of the two people who can schedule the appointment. 10 minutes later, she still cannot find anyone. Frustrated, we return to Thomas who was the most unprofessional manager I have ever met. Instead of him trying to do some type of service recovery, his solution was “you seem unhappy with our services, so I think it’s best we just part ways”. I would strongly discourage anyone to ever support a business that is so rude and disrespectful to its customers. Good luck getting service and use caution if you enter that establishment!!! I have contacted camping world corporate. They said someone would get back with me, but that still hasn’t happened.
