Camping World in Orlando, Florida - Service Department is worthless/Theft

So... we purchased a 2013 Coleman Expedition brand new with warranty. Before we even took our camper home we noticed that two sets of the blinds in the camper were missing. My husband and I made sure to have our sales man include these on the We-owe, in which he informed us they would order them and call us when they came in. While pulling the camper home we noticed one of he running lights were out and once we got the camper to the house my husband noticed that one of the tires had a bubble in it. We spent the next month calling Camping World to get the status on the blinds and every time we called they had NO IDEA what we were talking about. Not to mention they said the bubble in the tire wouldn't be covered by our warranty even tho it had it when we took it into our possession. We eventually took the camper out for a test run and realized that the black tank sensor was not working. That was the final straw. We went up to the office to inquire about the blinds, getting the bubble in the tire fixed, running light, and black tank fixed. All of which they attempted to say would NOT be covered by our warranty. My husband eventually spoke with a new Service Dept manager who assured us that everything would be fixed and that it would be "Top Priority". Two months later they finally call us to tell us our camper was all finished and ready to go. When my husband went to pick it up he noticed that our TV was missing. After speaking with a representative he said they couldn't do anything because management wasn't in the office until Monday and they "didn't know if their surveillance cameras worked or not". This is absolutely unacceptable. Never in my life have we dealt with a company like this. I don't understand how they are still in business if this is how they conduct themselves.

Camping World - 3 month ordeal

Purchased a 2014 Sandpiper 5th Wheel at Tampa RV show in January 2014. Purchased a at booth ran by Camping World New Port Richey, FL. The purchasing experience was a nightmare. Talked to 5 different CW employees from 5 different states. We were told so many things that turned out to not be true. Took many phone calls to finally get our new unit from CW of New Port Richey. When we get to pick it up it had a bent 5th wheel hitch and they could not find any keys for the unit. They kept promising to "find the keys"......but it never happened. We headed back home to MO with no keys. We took our unit to Camping World of Kansas City when we got home for some warranty work and to get some keys! We finally had to contact Forest River ourselves to get the key situation resolved. CW of Kansas City had our 5th wheel for 6 weeks to make about 2 hours worth of repairs....and we made an appt for service so we wouldn't have to wait so long. We finally got the keys....but the service person at CW "forgot" we had two doors.....so we waited another 2 weeks for another door lock. There were so many promises made and not followed thru....so many lies.....made our whole buying experience a nightmare. We love our unit....no complaints there....but will NEVER step inside another CW again. Buy from a local owned dealer. I have written to the CEO of CW with no response.

Fleewood repairs Hillsboro Camping world promised RV by June 9th today 26th saying 7 or more weeks!

Our Fleetwood storm was stolen, and trashed out. As if that wasn't bad enough we took it to Hillsboro OR camping world. The insurance adjuster meet us there, they looked at the RV determined what needed to be replaced and repaired. I ask if we would have it back in time for our camping reservation on June 9th. Oh yes we should be able to make that I was told. After repeatedly calling and never having them return my calls. I tried management, they would have some call me of course that didn't happen. I called 6/25/14 was told the only thing missing was some window blinds. The insurance adjuster just call to tell me, the blinds should be there by July 7th, but then informed me that they were waiting on heating core, and windshield which would take an additional 7 WEEKS. SUMMER WILL BE OVER, WE HAVE MISSED CAMPING RESERVATIONS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY!!! If they had not lied about the missing parts we could have rented a vacation home at Detroit Lake, but now of course there is nothing available. The next big trip is for our 5 year old adopted daughter's 6th birthday on August 24th, so yet another cancelation. This has been the worst customer service I have ever heard of. I believe that the money paid to Camping world by insurance in May was not used to order the parts for our RV. If the parts can not be proven to me as ordered, I intend to look into fraud charges. Camping World in Syracuse, New York - Purchasing a motor home

On the web site I found a Van type camper at the Syracuse, NY location. I contacted the store and began the process of purchasing the unit. I wire transferred a deposit to hold the unit. That was May 23, 2014. I was told the unit could not be transferred to my local Camping World Kingston, NY. The deal could not be completed because of distance to the lot to see the unit. On May 26 I cancelled the transaction and requested my deposit be refunded. Several calls to the dealership and to the financial office of another store( Churchville) to date I still have no refund. I am a senior citizen and a Veteran of more than Twenty years of military service and I think this is no way to run a business.

Camping World in Garner, North Carolina - Dried UP Sewage left in holding Tank after Rv purchased

Bought used 3912 Baystar Newmar 2010 at Garner NC location; First we were told a different price then later to find ad on craigs list listing the same RV for a lower amount. Very frustrating but Garner Camping world honored what the price was. We recieved a call from Camping world to let us know our RV had been inspected, cleaned and ready for pickup; When we got there, this was not done; They took us to the site and they were just washing the RV. Gentlemen was inside going over the insides just touching the surfaces and was done within just a few minutes. After waiting for a period of time we finally left with the RV. After taking the RV directly home (45 min drive) parked it and started noticing a bad awful smell; My husband checked the holding tank to find it full; The sewage had not been dumped nor cleaned out. We called Camping world and this what they offered, an apology and a gift card. Did not offer to fix the problem; We were scheduled to go on a trip and figured once we got to a dumping station this would resolve the situation, well it didnt'!!!! WE set a appt with Camping world of Garner to check out the problem. They have had our RV for over a week and I had to call them to get the results, ... they told me dry sewage had backed up into the pipes from previous owner not taking care of this. I do realize this Newmar was used but it was new to us as (trying to be) proud owners. The smell was unbelievable!! I tried everything I could do to make the smell go away. They kept telling us to put tablets in the tank and it would disolve the smell, NOT!! Furious?? yes we are! they should have never let us leave off the lot with sewage which is nothing but hazardeous to your health, bactieria thats build up in the pipes. They acted as if this was of no concern. The ac is not working properly, we told them... they are stating there are no problem; Well..they are!! Heated RV never reach below 78, they said they were able to get it to go to 68. Thats not right...something is defn wrong. WE are gettin ready to pick up the RV and we are not satisfied customers! First to be told a bogus price, then to find it to be allot cheaper on craigs list, then to sell us a rv with someone else sewage and now will not make good of ac thats not working like it should. I'm sure you prob get many complaints but I can assure you our business with Camping world has left a bad sour taste in our mouths and we can assure you we were not pleased with the service we got!!!

Camping World in Wood Village, Oregon - Took my money but I still have no camper

I bought a brand new Coleman travel trailer from Camping World of Portland. I was supposed to pick it up last Saturday but they had not performed the PDI like they said they would. No camper. They offered to deliver it Monday but it never showed up. Still no camper. I doubt they'll even call since I've had to initiate every conversation throughout this whole terrible process; they haven't called me even once. They clearly do not care since they got their money from the sale. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to sell my camper to someone else while its still on their lot.

Merchandise Overcharge Review

Our recent visit was a disappointment as well. Overcharged for merchandise and the salesperson was reluctant and extremely slow to correct the transaction. Another department sold us wrong key blanks but we didn't know this until we got to a locksmith in another state.

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Over Priced and shotty work

June 14, Byron, Ga. CW. Took my Class A in for Double slide preventive mx advertised for $134.99. I discussed with the service rep that I had an issue with the main slide sticking at the top. I thought it maybe the topper. She said they would look at it. Got a call later in the morning and they said nothing was wrong with my slides and the RV must be perfectly level. I said OK and go ahead and do the MX which consisted of lubing. When I got the call to say it was ready, the Bill was over $300. I asked why the bill was double, she said they had to charge for additional lube and 1 hr. of diagnostics. As you all know the sign says it includes the lube and also it doesn't take an hour to operate levelers and hit a switch to operate a slide. I asked for the Mgr and finally after some discussion they took off $100 which still equated to $216. When they brought my RV around it had greasy hand prints on the door and luggage compartment doors. Mine is white! Do you think there was anyone around to complain to, no they had left! 2d, my toilet was leaking from the water valve assy. I did a search for the Part # and I found it on most websites for $30 including Amazon. However CW had an internet sale for $21. I called the Byron store to see if they had the part, which they did. The price on the shelf was $45. I told the lady on the phone about the sale price on CW website, she said that was internet price only! After arguing with her, she said to bring the sale ad and she would stand by the price, which they did. Why all the headaches CW, do you want a good reputation for doing what's right or are you out there to rip everyone off! Also, look at your LED bulbs $70 for 6. I bought 6 on Ebay for 12.99 free shipping. They all come from China. Good Luck Good Sam's members. Our super CW doesn't even have a dump as they so advertise. Be Aware.

Camping World in Buffalo Grove, Illinois - Damaged, Broken RV and No Assistance From Customer Service

I bought an RV from Camping World and have faced a series of issues with no help from customer service. It seems to me that a company run by Marcus Lemonis, host of The Profit, shouldn't be filled with so many problems. Maybe Lemonis should stop helping other companies and take a look at his own. Here's what happened: I bought the RV back in April 2014 and eight days later when I came top pick it up, the vehicle was not in brand new condition. It had dirty seats, a broken stove, 2 scratches, etc. Within two days, the entertainment system broke. I reached out to customer service and received no return calls, rude comments and people slamming the door in my face. I sat with Tom, the GM, and Bill, the service manager, to try and get my RV fixed, and initially they both seemed helpful. I picked up the RV a few days later, but more things broke. The driver's seat motor and the blue ray and dvd system broke-- again. I went back to customer service to find out Bill had left Camping World. Charles, another employee, seemed to handle the situation professionally when I explained the circumstances, but now it has been 6 weeks and I have not heard back from him. I gave him a month to repair my RV then left 6 messages to hear back about its status, with no response. This left me no choice but to file a formal complaint with corporate, and again, I have yet to hear back from them.
