Camping world Charleston SC unwillingness to help

I bought an RV approximately a year ago (ACE) we have had nothing but issues since the day it was bought! We spent over 70k on our first RV. I have exhausted ALL channels from their in store managers to the complaint dept. Not to mention the Regional will not even return my calls! This coach has had issues from the day we bought it (squeak from under the dash so loud you cant hear the radio, shimmy in the front end, we are on the 4th radio, stair has broke twice, leak from the roof vents and the list goes on!!) all they want us to do is "bring it in" so I can spend another several hundred dollars and leave it for no less than 3 weeks for them to give me some BS about why the extended warranty isnt going to cover their outrages pricing and then when we drive it away its NOT fixed!! It got to the point were it was in there so called service dept more than it was in my driveway!! My family and I have asked them to trade us out of this one into a different model and they REFUSED!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY once they have your money they could care less about you

So true.....unfortunately they have the monopoly information this area. We have had service issues with EVERY rv purchased there!!!!

Camping World in Walnut Creek, California - Non delivery

we ordered 2 fans for our refrigerator and waited, then I got a notice from ups that they couldn't deliver the pkg. I waited on hold 15 min. to get someone on the phone at camping world and he told me he didn't take care of things like that???? what I had all the #'s and he certainly could have talked to ups for us. This was on mon during office hrs. that I called.....it is hot and we NEED the fans..... the fellow who answered the phone said he was the ONLY one there, that's ridiculous in that large a company...

Camping World - Sales Manager Review from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania

Every employee that my husband and I had to deal with at the Camping World of Rochester, New York (Churchville) during the purchase of our RV was rude, was a liar, or both! Unfortunately, they had the exact model of motorhome that we were looking for and we couldn't locate it anywhere else at the time. We love the motorhome, but having to deal with the horrible people at CW of Rochester was almost intolerable. First there was Mike the lying salesman who lied about absolutely everything! Then there was the sales manager, who tried to rip us off. Then there was lying, cheating Diane Pope, the finance manager and on and on. As stated, we love the motorhome in spite of the horrible people at CW. All we can do is tell every fellow camper we talk to that CW is horrible, particularly CW of Rochester, New York! I don't know how they stay in business.

Camping World - Wall Pop Up Review from Doylestown, Pennsylvania

Bought a high wall pop up from Indianapolis. The unit had some issues. The salesman insured us they would be taken care of. When we picked it up they were still working on it. We were told we would do a final walkthrough once it was finished. By the time I finished the paperwork it was attached to my vehicle ready to go. I was assured it was good to go. When we drove 3 hours away to our house and opened it up it wasn't. We took it back the next day and dropped it off. They brought it back a week later and didn't even touch it. These people are liars and crooks.

Camping World - Deposit on Warranty

well for those of you in Texas, shopping, camping world may seem like a pretty good place to start. We went in, the wife found one she liked, so started the paper work, (took off work and drove 3 hours mind you), well first batch of paperwork wrong, salesman lied(imagine that) put deposit on extended warranty, well still trying to get that back. in the mean time friend told me to check out world wide rv in Lumberton, Tx. so I did and found the exact same model 6,000.00 cheaper. Camping worlds motto is they "will not be undersold" well they just were. fast talking salesman, feel like you getting the runaround, and finance staff that was at the very least rude, wanted a work up on another trailer, was told "no, pick one and stick with it" so best of luck to ya'll shopping at camping world..................

Camping World in Akron, Ohio - 2011 class c maggots came out of the rubber in the fridge

purchased a class A and went to pick it and it leaked from the widow and I refused to take it found later from GM it was fixed previously. purchased a class c instead to make a long story short it had maggots in the fridge. Ask for a new fridge got a used fridge that the shelves were broken and glued in. They scratched the floor and the corner of the island. and broke the trim around the door. I made 4 trips and still did not get what I paid for.This place is so cheap they couldn't even put oil in the generator that barely had any in it. I purchased the warranty too!

I apologize for the terrible customer service issues and I am in the process of correcting the problems you have experienced. Camping World - Repair Review from Yorba Linda, California

Traveling from CA across US for 3 weeks. 3rd day we discovered in Joplin MO our 25 ft pull trailer (fleet wood/ prowler) under belly insulation ripped out and fell out first qtr section. Called Nashville TN, they couldn't 't repair days ordering parts. We were only in Nashville for 3 days. Called ahead to Greenwood, IN requested parts to be ordered 7 days ahead of us arriving. First response - our service dept booked until August! I complained if a RV is crossing US isn't CW suppose to have availability for emergencies/ drop ins ? Then foreman tells me their policy is not to accept self assesed damage would need to look at the trailer, then order parts needed, my god under belly installation has just 3 parts! After reading reviews counting our blessings CW isn 't fixing our trailer. Got a May/Pa shop in Indianapolis,IN to fix when we roll into Indiana Wednesday July 16th. Best part he believed me what parts fell off and accepted our self assessment!

Camping World - Repair Review from Lakewood Township, New Jersey

Waste of time to deal with them. They NEVER fix something the first time around. You always have to bring it back to "fix" it a couple of times. Dealing with Stephanie, the service manager is a frustrating and upsetting experience. She talks to people as if she was your teacher and you're a 12 years old teenager. Unbelievable that that store is still open! What a waste of time!!

I experienced the same ! The service manager is very rude and speaks down to you like your a ***.

Funny she is clueless most of the time about any of the service work being done. She also is is easy to point the finger and her service workers.

Stay away from this camping world. I should believed all the complaints I read

Camping World in Oakwood, Georgia - Warranty work

We bought our Copper Canyon 5th wheel from CW. We had comparison shopped and were making our last stop at CW. We specifically asked if our truck a 2000 F250 2wd could handle this and were ASSURED that we would have no problems. We got a good deal, and were expecting a brand new unit. When they called us in 2 weeks we were excited, but later we find out this unit had been sitting in SC for MONTHS.....the carpet was nasty, finger prints everywhere, missing remotes.....When we go to pick up our camper, it is raining and we got about a 5 minute overview. Here comes the kicker, our truck cannot handle this camper!!! We had to go buy another truck, move the 5th wheel(more $$) and only then are we able to actually use the camper. I am not kidding....I could have bought a motorhome for what we had to do! It gets better, before we ever took it out for the first time we have a slide that jumped its track, an awning with a blown motor and a dvd player that puts subtitles on everything. We take it up there, 3 weeks later they call my husband to come get the camper, and he gets there and has to wait 2 more hours because they weren't done. We get it back with the slide fixed, not the awning, and are on our way out of town only to discover we don't have a power cord! The awning motor came in a few weeks later and my husband installed it himself. The radio went out and it took a while to come in under warranty, like a month.....the first time we go to pick it up. they can't give it to me because no one can find the paperwork. The second time we go to pick it up, I am on the phone with the service mgr and we have like 10 minutes to get there and they are telling me that they are closing! I kept him on the phone until we got there so they couldn't not give us our stuff. My last experience is by far the best. Our camper is on our property 3 hours from this location, inside a fence w/ no real way to easily move it. Our replacement radio goes out AGAIN. My husband disconnects the unit and we take it to CW only to be told that they cannot accept this because there is no one in service to accept parts. I am livid at this point and ask for the GM. He then proceeds to tell me that they can't take this unit because they can't be 100% sure it came out of our camper! THE GM said this to me! Its a freakin warranty part that they replaced not even 6 months ago! They finally took it and were going to send it in. 3 weeks ago and I still haven't had a call....I called them, and all I got was it shows that its on order but with no ETA. I kick myself every time I think about the opportunity we had to purchase from a smaller dealership......I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN.

I completely agree with this customer- Service is worse than bad. I cant begin to describe how bad it is.

We bought a new 225000.00 motorhome from them in 2014 and the first year it was carried back to them 5 different times for a total of 9 months---do the math---we used it for three months. Always the same problem that never got repaired correctly. Now it is out of the 12 month warranty and I had to take it back to them this January for some of the same repairs---and we do have the Good Sam extended warranty. After three weeks and 1800.00 out of my pocket---you guessed it---Good Sam did not cover the repairs.

I finally got it back---used it one time and guess what---same exact problems.

PLEASE-----NEVER----NEVER--- buy anything from these creeps. You will be hung out to dry.
