I SENT CAMPING WORLD A EMAIL 10 MINUTES AFTER I PLACED AN ORDER.THIS WAS TO CANCEL THE ORDER.I RECEIVED A RESPONSE,COMPUTER GENERATED.IT SEEMS NO LIVE PERSON READS THE E MAIL.1 SENT ANOTHER ONE,GOT A CONFORMATION.THIS WAS AFTER I GOT AN E MAIL STATING IT WAS BEEING SHIPED.I SENT ANOTHER E MAIL.RECEIVED A CONFORMATION,COMPUTER GENERATED .I WANTED IT STOPED.IT DID NOT WORK.NOBODY READS OUR EMAIL UNLESS YOU ARE BUYING AN ITEM.WHEN I RECEIVED THE ITEM I DROPPED IT IN THE UPS DROPPED SITE.I MARKED THE ITEM RETURN TO SENDER.I RECEIVED A CONFORMATION IT WAS RECEIVED.I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD CO,DISPUTE DEPARTMENT, AND HAD THE ORIGINAL CHARGES REVERSED. THIS IS A CO, YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH.IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT IT HAS TO BE OVER 100 WORDS. RIDICULAS .HARASSMENT.

Camping World in Kingston, New York - Horrible customer service.....NO Customer Service!!

Had an issue with another RV dealer that made an honest mistake, but they couldn't put us in the camper we wanted. Found the one we wanted at Camping World Kingston, NY. I got a useless sales woman(not a chauvinist)on the phone that I had to explain everything to at least three times before she got it. My wife and are preapproved any ready to buy just looking for them to match or come close to the deal we had at the other dealer. Not an unreasonable request. I was completely forgotten about from this point. I'm not sure if she chose to because we had a great price that would have diminished her commission, or she was just that ***? It gets better, when finally getting ahold of the so called sales manager...all he just wants is to see the deal from the other dealer, but also does not return calls so as to get his email to satisfy his request. after a couple request I finally get a email with the specs with all the prices removed and can't send a return email??? WTF The lady that answers the phone tops it though....answer the phone is about she can handle, ask her for more and I can only picture a deer in the headlights. She is not only a complete *** she is rude, or just plain retarded. No one at this dealership has a clue. If you want to be ripped off go there! Buyer beware! If you want a deal it's not happening there! Good luck.

Camping World in Columbia, South Carolina - Service and repair work

Bought a brand new camper. Sales department was awesome. However when it comes to their parts and service department they are truly lacking in communication. From the first day of buying the camper I needed an extension put on my hitch to lower the hitch ball. They did not have the part in stock. I was told that it would be order and picked up from Charleston, SC the next day and ready for pick up the same day. I told them I would give them an extra day and would pick it up in on the Tuesday instead of that Monday. I showed up Tuesday morning as agreed upon and the part had never been pickup on Monday because the parts department guy never went to pick it up as they said he would. So I had to wait all day long for them to drive to Charleston and back which is 4 hrs round trip. Then finally install the part. The second time I had to bring the Camper back to have a Slideout topper installed. I dropped it off to them on the scheduled day even though they were backed up. They said the camper would be ready the next day. The next day I got a call telling me that some items that were detected during the initial inspection faulty the replacement parts had come in. They service department asked me If and when I wanted to bring my camper in to install the parts. I informed him that the camper was already at their location and that it had been for 2 days already. I told him of course install the parts. A week and a half has gone by since the last phone call so I decided to go in yesterday and find out the status. I go into the service department and they had trouble finding my information and the job status. 45 minutes go bye and finally I am informed that the Slidout topper had been installed however they never did install the warranty replaced parts. This service and parts department really need to get there act together.

As someone who has had a simular experience I have to say camping world is the most ridiculous company ever, they may be on the same lot but there are three different "companies" Sales, Service and retail they all have different managers and separate employees. I have been told by a former employee that the sales people sell a camper and the service dept.

Is forced to drop everything and get it ready to go out paying customers be damned and the service dept. Is fi rced to buy their parts from the retail store which anyone who has been there knows is a joke unless you need board games, dog bowls or lounge chairs.

In truth I have always been treated fairly by the service dept. but sales and retail could use some qualified and dedicated staff menbers.

Camping World in Robertsdale, Alabama - Pushy sales

My very first experience at camping world was horrible. As we walked through the store we were chased by a sales associate the entire time trying to sell us this and that. I do understand that ppl must make a living but, when you and your can't even have a confercession because a pushy sales person is following through the store it's bad. Every item we looked at there was a comment made about it from this person. I'm sure they though they were helping us. My point is we, my wife and I were browsing through the store if we need help we would have asked for it. Our 19 min. Shopping experience was the worst ever. FYI there prices are outrages. Never will we return!

Camping World in Oakland, California - Wrong tires ordered

We ordered tires and prepaid for 4 new tires for our 2004 Class C. There are 6 tires but we felt the inside tires of the rear set would be alright to wait to change out. My husband told them to find the best two of the old six for the inside back and put the new tires up front and on the outside back. They called us about an hour after dropping off the rig, and said the wrong tires were ordered. They had sent a parts person to Sacramento to pick up the right tires. Of course there was a price difference. So we waited all day to finally get the tires on the rig. When we went out to our vehicle for inspection before leaving they had put all four new tires on the back and left cracked worn tires on the front. To top it off they said they would not change out because the tires once taken off could not be put back on if they were unsafe..... So why leave unsafe tires on the front. Maybe I am way off base but I think the new tires should go on the front. Either they are incredibly *** or were under handed and trying not only to soak us for more money for the tires and sell us two more new ones. I wouldn't buy toilet paper from them. I will find another place to take the R.V. where customer service starts with mechanics that have brains!

Camping World in Strafford, Missouri - Camping Work has a good talk but doesnt back it up.

I bough a new 2014.5 Challenger from them and have had nothing but problems. It has spent more time in the shop than at the campgrounds. Most of the miles that we have put on it has been getting it from The Lake of the Ozarks to Strafford. The service manager ( George ) promised held handle this himself but after asking him to get info on why the refrigerator doesn't work when driving the coach he said he would have info in a few days but as of now its been over 3 weeks! It took over a month for them to get a wiper motor ! We couldn't go camping in fear that we would get caught in the rain. The cabinet doors fall off if you try to open they so I have spent many weekends repairing them. To date I have had aprox. 30 problems , some major and some minor. I will be be upgrading with another Thor and I will not buy again in Strafford Missouri. Do your self a favor and go some where else.

Camping World in Lake City, Florida - 2014 Roadmaster Tow Dolly Wheel fell off

We purchased a new Roadmaster Tow Dolly and on the first time out the wheel fell off shearing all five lug bolts below the surface of the brake drum. We had it towed into the Lake City Florida store where it has sat for two months. The manager there stated that he felt the dolly is unsafe and should not be repaired. The manager in Ft Myers Florida where it was purchased stated that it was going to be repaired. Which is it folks? Neither store manager will return my calls and my interaction with Camping World Corporate is nil as they don't even have the courtesy to answer my emails or return calls. Definitely time to cut my losses and look elsewhere for a tow dolly that won't cause issues the first time it is used.

Camping World in Lowell, Arkansas - Bought 2015 heartland big country took it in for warranty work

We took our new camper into Lowell Ar to camping world to get warranty work done on it mind you we only used it two time they have had it for 3 months they will not call you back Chuck at Lowell Camping world should not have a voice mail acc. They told us that our carpet was not covered by the warranty so I called Heartland and spoke to them it had been approved for two weeks! I have never spent so much on a camper and been treated so badly! People read reviews before dealing with Camping World in any state I wished we would have! we are still without our camper Camping World Headquarts isn't any better so trying to go over to upper management is a joke! I'm contacting an Attorney this is ridiculous

Camping World in Holiday, Florida - Promised parts not ordered

bought a 2000 itasca 31c hydraulic lift had bad jack , promised one week for parts under warranty, two weeks later still no call .go on line find live chat with cw ,explain what was wrong ,young lady stated our chat would be on service managers desk in morning. no call by eleven , had wife call, in meantime cw had called my cell and left message. part was in drop off unit , it would be repaired. reading complaints let them know i could install jack myself , told to bring it in and they would make it a priority. next day cw called unit was done , explained couldn't pick up that day would be in next day. come next day unit is in fenced area completed, so this is more of a congrats to the new port richey/holiday fl. store, so after one screw up cw redeemed themselves, to all of you who have problems i feel bad for you, some of the problems are not necessarily cw's fault . granted with the horror stories i've read their customer service needs vast improvement. good luck to you all
