Camping World - Trailer Purchase Review from Andover, Massachusetts

My wife and I tried working a deal on a fifth wheel at the Conway Nh store,place seems to be understaffed and always to busy to return your call.We got the financing but had to come up with a few thousand to close the deal,I called up there to make an appointment to see how much cash I exactly needed and when I got the salesman he told me "I don't want to run circles with you and you can't afford this trailer so stop waisting my time I am busy".First of all I probably make 3x the salesmanship salary and who is he to judge me and tell me I don't have any money for a down payment,jokes on you Jerry Dodge if you didn't talk over me and down to me you would of known I was on my way there to pay for it Happy shopping else where

Camping World, Valencia California, Don't take any R.V. Here!!! Fed up with lies, deceipt, overcharging, work paid for and not done, etc etc etc. We are going to submit a claim against camping world with the California Attorney Generals Office, every state has one, and if everyone else would submit their complaints to the states where they have had same problems, maybe someone at headquarters will stop these crooks, from their unfair, illegal, consumer, practices, & scams, of work not performed but charging for it, of charging for work that does not even need to be done, etc. etc. If they get enough complaints the attorney general will start to prosecute for all these unfair practices, just maybe then camping world headquarters will start paying their employees so that they won't have to cheat their customers just to make a dime with their commission only pay!!!

Fully agree. This Camping World is crooked as can be.

Lie, changing from what the service tech told you in the first place to something else. Service Tech stated RV Frig were diagnosed, no problem.

yes same problem. 4 trips still the same.

The sales department took our trailer for a trade in, picked it up from ny and brought it to their store and we were to pick up our new camper 4 days later. They called us and said we needed to come up with $15000 in cash because our trade in needed $15,000 worth of work!!!! Nothing could have been further from the truth. They were trying to get more money from us after they signed A contract with us whereby they were giving us $18,000 for our trailer (5th wheel), we're making money off of us on the purchase of a new trailer and would have also made a profit on the resale of our trade-in. We did not have $15000 to give them so the deal was terminated. Really? "Oh it needs new tires". It's called wear and tear , as it is an 8 yr. old trailer!! They knew that! Come on people. We are STILL Awaiting the return of our trailer to us!

We had to fill out a trade appraisal form when we bought and we told them everything we knew that needed fixed and they treated us good. They gave us what they told us before seeing it . Didn't you fill out one of those forms ?

Camping World of Roanoke does not respond to refund requests on gap insurance and extended service warranty for traded unit originally purchased from Camping World.

Received service warranty check in November. Considering the length of time it took to receve both refund checks, I would give Camping World of Roanoke a very poor rating for their financial department.

I have since traded this unit. While the fuel problem was fixed, and I fully disclosed the fuel problems and repairs done, I did not trade at Camping World. When this unit was purchased, I bought gap insurance and an extended service warranty plan. I have been dealing with Camping World and Good Sam to get a refund on the gap insurance and extended service plan. The trade-in was on 6-18-14. The paperwork was signed then, and again on 7-11-14. I finally called the numbers referenced on the cancellation forms on 8-21-14. I was told by the two underwriters (one for the gap insurance refund, and one for the extended service plan) that I would be getting the refunds at the end of September. Today is October 8. I called the Good Sam number, and was told the paperwork has been done, but Camping World has to issue the refund! I have copies of all of the paperwork and all of the e-mails. When I called Camping World today, and asked to speak to the finance department, I was sent (yet again) to voicemail. Consumers should expect better service from a company such as Camping World. The only person who has been a pleasure to deal with is their salesman, Greg Sutphin! What an upstanding young man! I would not recommend Camping World of Roanoke, Va (other than Greg).

Just an update. Finally received the gap insurance refund the first week of November.

Called Camping World yet again October 27th. Was told by Mr. Mike Irvin (spelling?) that I would get my check in one or two weeks for the refund on the extended service warranty. Called again on November 12, and was told by Mr.

Irvin that the c g eck was mailed November 10. Did not receive it in mail on Nov. 12, but hope to see it today, Nov.

13. I will not be holding my breath.

I bought a 2015 camper from campingworld of buffalo . He messed up the paper work , messed up my loan and he never answers the phone .so I don't know what to do . I just want to return the camper and go to Churchvill they know what Tatars doing

Camping World - Delivery Service Review from O Fallon, Illinois

Worst customer service EVER!!! I ordered on 9-16 and it was shipped on 9-24. No one could tell me why my order was delayed since a the items minus one were available. Called today for a status on my back order item which they said take 2-3 weeks to receive. I was told it's in stock but would have to email the warehouse to see if it will be shipped out soon. Good deals but I'm not sure they are worth the hassle.

Worst service ever in my life. Please don't buy from them, they promised to have it cleaned for pre-inspection, werent ready plus weren't on time either. Never again will I purchase or recommend them. Black water tank leaking fresh water tank leaking broken door handle heater vents full of dirt and grass shower head broken carpert not clean ( popcorn kernels, m & ms, hair, dirt, who knows what else) toliet sit when lift up looked like urine cuppards, full of cups and dishes and very dusty oven not clean RV caulking not correctly put on and dripped throughout the trailer. Floors very dirty.

Camping World - Why would anyone work for this Company

With all the dissatisfaction with CW, makes one wonder..........Why anyone would want to work for a Company, that lacks Leadership, Integrity and Management Guidance. Truly a lack of Management. Marcus lamonis , like our government, got too big, too fast and has lost all control. He should start over and work with his Teams and Dealership Managers and figure it out! We too have complaints and have had the same experience's, as listed here. (St Augustine CW- Dusty's -Bartow) However, there are some employees, who do a very good job at customer service. Robert Burden (TPA-CW) being one of them. He has constantly stayed in contact with us on our service and replacement parts on our new Heartland Landmark. Our Salesman has been of no assistance at all. Perhaps Mr. Lamonis can listen to these employees and see how they manage to give good customer service and manage their time, when the rest can't figure it out. We are still waiting on the cancellation refund on an extended warranty, which was to be cancelled, last November! Also, still waiting on the $100 gift card for recommending a customer , who purchased an RV . Really like shopping at CW, but there are other stores. I hope they can get it figured out, before they go out of business!

The reason they work there is that they share the same lack of integrity. They all lie and scam folks.

There was warranty fraud going on at the Bartow Camping World, but nothing was done about it when corporate was contacted. No one at Camping World cares. It's all about profit and greed and nothing more.

I'll find someone who cares about the warranty fraud. ***, it's making Camping World more money - so of course they don't care.

I have tried to talk to the Service Manager 3 or 4 times and is to busy to talk with me on an issue with my fifth wheel. So be it I will be doing my business elsewhere here in Colorado. I've have been getting supplies and parts at CW for two decades and the last two times service has been not been up to there quality in the past. I've contacted he main headquarters with no action on there part, when my CW card expires I will think of not renewing it. It's too bad that the customer service now sucks...

This review is directed directly at management. Our salesman was fantastic! The service and customer satisfaction at camping world in Wood Village, Oregon is horrible. Day one we picked out a brand new RV. Test drove it and decided it was the one. Wrote up the paperwork and did a walk through to create a punch list of minor repairs to address before delivery. We were told we'd need to wait a week and half to take delivery. No problem, we waited. Arrived on our deliver date which was a Saturday to find NOTHING was taken care of. Their excuse, everyone must have left early on Friday. We had trip already planned, so we took delivery. First trip out was a nightmare. Water leaks EVERYWHERE, slide outs didn't work. Blinds wouldn't stay open, couldn't get the cameras to work, the dump line didn't line up with the bin, so we couldn't dump the tanks...the list goes on and on. All this on an RV we paid over 100k for. I call to get a service appointment and they tell me the are booked out for a month and a half. Unbelievable, please don't waste your time and money at camping world. Fleetwood, the maker of our RV hasn't been much help either. They've washed their hands of the problem as well. Although they did offer to make me an appointment at one of their manufacturing plants.....in a month! My RV is sitting in storage, not useable, and the answer I get from camping world is " we are human". No apology, and no solutions.

WE ARE ALSO GOING THROUGH THE SAME KIND OF DEAL WITH THEM, SALES DEPT SAYS ONE THING SERVICE ANOTHER AND THE TWO NEVER COMMUNICATE. I WROTE THE CEO OF CAMPING WORLD, AND NO RESPONSE AS OF TODAY.

WE ARE INTO THIS TRAILER $40k BUT STILL SLIDE OUTS NO GASKETS TO KEEP THE WIND AND BUGS OUT ON THE SLIDE OUT.

BATTERIES NEVER HAD WATER IN THEM SO THEY DIDN'T WORK, WE BOUGHT AN EXTENDED SERVICE AND NOTHING IS COVERED BY IT. SORRY WE EVER WENT THERE.
