Camping World in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania - No follow up from anyone at dealership

2.5
Details
I ordered a camper gave them a deposit and found out they never ordered it. Called them several times and was finally told they didn't order it and they would order that day.Three more days went by and finally I called the manufacturer and they said they just recieved the order and they would keep me informed as to the status of my order. Have since called the dealer several times and in about three days they would return my call. As a person who was in sales over 35 years I know how important it is to follow up with a customer in a timely manner. As if it wasn't for customers we would not have jobs.

Camping World in Phoenix, Arizona - Unorganized/Horrible Management/Unresponsive

1.0
Details
My trailer has been at Camping World in Mesa, AZ since November 2014. Yes, that's approx 5 months now. It went in for warranty work, which apparently a bumper-to-bumper warranty "doesn't cover". Regardless, the adjuster for Good Sam Warranty attempted to contact someone at Camping World numerous times over a 3 month period. No response. I have continuously called Corporate. No response. Service advisors change like people change their underwear. I don't think any management exists at this location. HORRIBLE! I am very disappointed; have had to cancel 2 weekends of trips with my family because of their ineptitude. I was compensation...and I WILL GET IT!

Camping World Does Not Stand Behind Products Sold!

Bought a brand new A.C.E 27.1 Motorhome. When the coach started having problems it took 6 months to resolve. I took them to small claims court, they showed the judge the clause in the sales contract that states they do not stand behind the product they sale andit is a manufactures problem. That would be the same as me being told to take my Jeep to the Chevy dealer because the Jeep dealer does not stand behind the product they sell. The judge sided with camping world because of the contract clause stating Camping World does not stand behind the product they sell. Never buy any large ticket item from them they will not stand behind it. Also most of the service techs have never been trained.

Camoing world should close the doors!

Thor and Camping World POORLY BUILT WITH MAJOR PROBLEMS ON FIRST LONG ROAD TRIP

Camping World sells as 2015 and it really is on a 2014 Ford chassis; discovered this when we got our tag. Think this is a major lie. bought a 2015/14 Class C, 28 ft. motor home. Drove to our son's; screws came loose, door wouldn't shut firmly, roll-down vent handle wouldn't hold the vent tight, wires dropped down from under coach, doors to storage wouldn't stay closed, and major was the truck air. We had continued on to our daughter's in Loris, SC, and all the way down from Greensboro, we had no air conditioning. Once there, called Camping World in Myrtle Beach, and informed them about the air. They told us they did not repair air conditioning and offered no solution We have Good Sam total road service. Returned home in a hot cab and took it to Camping World at Fletcher. No one really seemed really concerned. Salesman and manager had been let go or moved on. With new people assisting, selected another one that I had originally chosen and was told it was too long...31ft. No difference in the feel and drive; selected it and when we signed the paperwork, we were paying approximately 10,000$ more than the sticker!!!! This is an issue that we have not resolved...sales and they charged us we just brought back and traded. It was a lemon and there was no way we were going to keep it with all those problems on the first trip. My husband is 83 and cannot deal with a bucket list item that doesn't work properly. Just don't buy anything from Camping World and a Thor. Haven't been on a short/long trip with this one yet so it will be interesting. Already have leaks and rusting screws. Was happening with the other one also. When will we learn.....

Camping World in Southport, North Carolina - Charleston SC RV sales

When in Charleston we always stop there to see what is new. Online we found a Used Class C that really interested us that was located there. Explained to the online operator that I had a fifth wheel to trade and that I had a mortgage on it,would someone call me so we could discuss approximate value I could expect. Never a call, never a word. They only seem to want a clean sale nothing complicated like a trade in, and they would rather you drove your unit down(hundreds of miles) then low ball you, knowing you really don't want to haul it back.

Camping World in Hendersonville, North Carolina - Disorganization!! / Inability to keep Managers/ Poor workmanship!

Year 2013, Location Columbia, S.C. I took my camper in to have the slide out repaired and canopy cleaned. They repaired my slide out. Billed me , however the canopy was not cleaned. Then they lost my keys. Mr. Fred Meeh is who I dealt with on this, and he was never there. In Hendersonville, that was a nightmare! I took my camper in to be sold on consignment. The first Sales person was Ms. Megan Flood. First she lost my folder on my camper with all the original paper work. It was never found! Never sold my camper either. Could never remember who I was or what our business was! I paid them to do work on the unit, damaged the AC unit, The stereo unit, and left one of the max air vents off. Took forever to get that repaired! I went through 4 General managers in all this process! One Lie after the other! I would never recommend this company to work on anything! Sad! It was a total nightmare from day one! Oh! redid my subfloor twice, thought my camper belonged to another customer. That was on their dime. Now how professional is that? 2 new subfloors. I got my camper back This week, 04/07/2015.

Slides that don't work and service from camping world

We purchased a FR3. At the time the slide for the table had cut the floor and we were told would be fixed and floor replaced. We picked the unit up 17 days later and the floor had not been replaced as agreed. They had patched it which looked bad. We were told they would order a new floor and would take a month for it to come in. We took unit home set it up to put our stuff in. (Never got to use). We went to put the bedroom slide in and it would not go in. We call the Camping World in Lubbock were we purchased. Were told they would have to call us back. When they called the. Next day we were told they. Were doing repairs to there lot and it would be the middle of May before they could do anything. We said no they would do something sooner. We were told to bring the unit in and to be careful making corners as the slide could fall out more. When we got to dealership we were told again that they only work on customers unit on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We were told y service writer that the more items we put on or list of what was not working the longer it would take to get it fixed. They said not to count on being fixed before April 15 as it would take that time to get parts. We were again told they were pouring cement and could not get to the units to fix them. The table slide cut the floor in a different place.

Camping World in Indianapolis, Indiana - Poor Customer Service!

2.7
Details
Purchased a 2015 Sunset Trail Reserve in March. Went to complete sale and it had electrical problems. They said the battery had been connected backwards and they would repair the electrical problems. The salesman actually said I would have to pay for the repairs! Next visit we sat in the lobby for 2 hours after checking in with the receptionist. They said they were not aware we were there! Now I cannot get the paperwork to get the title and registration completed. It has been over a month and I will incur a late fee at some point when I go to the BMV. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to a dealer that cares about customer service!

Camping World - Warranty Review

I am a widow and at the mercy of others to move it for me. They said they could come get it for warranty work. They got it once but didn't fix two decal that were damaged when I got it. Said they would come get it when I got back from a 6 month stay at Roosevelt lake. Now they are saying they can't come get it. The TV just turns off for no reason. I touched the button to turn on my light over the table and it fell out.The wood frame on top of the slide out fell off, hit the bathroom door and took a chunk out of it and the other end of the frame is loose. The front door locks just by closing it so I have to make sure there is a key outside all the time. Trouble with cargo doors locking. Window won't close from inside, I have to go outside and push it closed. A light won't work. A decal on the over oven vent has curled up. The vent over the vent is cracked. The covers over some drawers are falling off.
