Camping World in Lyle, Washington - Hillsboro Oregon CW GM is dishonest

Hillsboro Oregon Camping World GM is a crook. Many things occurred. The worst was not entering some of our down payment on our contract. The amount of three thousand dollars we agreed upon for a four wheeler was not declared. I trusted Peter when he told me he had entered the amount into the down. He didn't. He only used the amount we first told him of $2500. By law, I believe he should have shown the amount on the contract but did not. We can not afford an attorney to fight illegal contract. Just look into his eyes, we should know not to trust him. We agree, Kevin was fair. Looks like CW looks for people like Peter to make them more money. Don't deal with CW, ever.

Camping World - Why submit to RV Service Abuse in Kissimmee, Fl?

1.0
Details
I’m done with Camping World In March we made an appointment for work to be done in April with our trusted repair/service worker, Dave Vacanti and were told by our service advisor, Lorne Edwards, he would be available for us.On April 1st arrived at CW at Kissimmee, Fl with service needs as follows:1. Water leak caused floor to buckle which needed Repair. (40 hrs estimate)2. Awning spring need replacing.3. Satellite motor stuck.4. Our couch also needed repair under a Camping World extended warranty.5. Change engine oil. We stayed in a hotel while repairs were completed. We were not told that Dave was gone and another technician was assigned. Every day we asked about progress and were told that they were still on track for completion on the following Friday, April 10th. The Motorhome sat for 5 days before work began on April 6th.Lorne kept complaining that he could not contact the couch repair people but, he promised to keep trying.Instead of being realistic about the work, Lorne just kept promising. Also, their phone kept crashing and I was unable to speak to Lorne so I began communicating by email at his suggestion. Lorne said the phone system was so bad email it is the only way to contact him. Imagine, a multimillion dollar company with bad phones. After 2 day, Lorne stopped returning email. Calls to the service manager, Brady Nails and the store manager, DeeDee were not returned. So much for customer service!! On April 10th, Friday we picked up the Motorhome as promised.Floors were repaired but the rugs were soiled, the kitchen faucet didn’t work (counter top was removed to fix floor) and a floor grate was damaged.Oil was changed but the oil cap was not put back on the oil tube. If my engine seized up would Camping World repair or replace it? I doubt it. Lorne said they didn’t have enough time to fix awning but he will order the part on Monday. He had 10 days to order the part. In fact, On Monday, May 13th, Lorne asked me to send him the part number and serial number of the awning. Don’t you think that was his job?The awning was opened and the spring removed so the needed numbers were available. The awning was closed up for travel but was not secured for travel by not tying it down creating an unsafe travel condition. Lorne never made an appointment with furniture repair people but he assured me next time we’re at CW in Kissimmee Camping World he would make an appointment. We left Camping World on April 10th and I continued to email until April 29th without a returned email or phone call. Today is May 3rd, nothing has changed. This is the second time I got screwed as a customer by Camping World. This first time was at the Lakewood, NJ facility where I needed a new slide motor because this motor burned up. CW kept assuring me they couldn’t find the part. I called in a mobile repair person and he had the slide motor installed in 2 days. A one man operation is better than and entire company. The service agent, Charles Mitchell, kept stalling proving that Camping World service operation was not customer focused. 2 strikes you’re out.Why should I subject myself and family to Service abuse?

Camping World - Sales Manager Review from Houston, Texas
DO NOT EVEN GRACE THE PROPERTY WITH YOUR PRESENCE. It may not be today or tomorrow but one day you will regret it! Went to purchase a camper. Signed contract. Came to pick up and they had sold it to someone else. Chose another camper. They damaged it installing A/C and "couldn't" sell it to us. Picked out another camper. Actually got it. Paid $12k. Went back a year later to sell it back to them. They offered $2500. We said no. We agreed to put it on consignment. 2 months later we get the call it had sold. Went to pick up our check only to find out someone else's camper had sold. Not ours. Allowed contract to finish to avoid fees. Went to pick up the camper today and a countertop was destroyed by water getting in, they didn't even put wheel on hitch just dropped the bar on the ground. They crammed things in wrong. Scratched it. Broke our kitchen sink. Bent our hinges on the door. When confronted the sales manager he said it wasn't there responsibility. Not willing to make things right. I am now out more time and more money so I am now hiring an attorney to take it from here. Regret the day I ever pulled in their driveway.

Camping World in Tampa, Florida - EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

1.0
Details
I sent this message below and did not receive one reply after horrible service. My Wife and I purchased a Bullet Premier 30RIPR travel trailer in January (2014) at Tampa Fairground's RV Show . We traded our 2010 Keystone Laredo 302LT that we purchased from Lazy Days to purchase your 2014 Bullet Premier. On our first trip with this new camper, we had a leak in the bathroom between the cabinet and the shower. We immediately returned the camper for repairs. The next camping trip, we had a leak between the sink and the shower in the bathroom and the Television did not work. We contacted the store and brought the camper in again. The next camping trip we we had yet another leak in the bathroom, a leak in the water heater valve and scratches in the floor from the slide out. We returned the camper for repair again. They said the leak was fixed and put some filler on the floor. The next time we went camping, we had yet another leak in the bathroom shower and our floor had 4 large scratches in it from the slide out. We dropped the camper off once again. The camper was dropped off the weekend after Thanksgiving. Our warranty was going to expire at the end of January so we planned a trip in the beginning to make sure everything would work. Our trailer was at your location from November -March and very little was was completed. We picked up the trailer from your lot despite the fact that the repairs were not completed. With so so many problems, we wanted to test the camper before the warranty expired. I am very glad we did because the air conditioner no longer worked. I returned the camper to camping world after our trip and expected everything to be done quickly. A month later, I was asked to come look at the camper floor because the floor was completed and they wanted me inspect. The floors were supposed to be replaced (the approval was granted prior to Christmas) yet once again, a poor patch job was the result. Additionally, we found extensive body damage on the outside of our trailer. It had actually been hit while sitting in your lot for months. My frustration continues to grow over the incompetence of this company. It's one thing to be patient--another to be brushed off and ignored. Our unit was in your possession since November 26th and had all approvals for repair secured! Suddenly, according to Dover personnel, many employees had been fired or removed and we were starting over. Recently,we collected our camper with the AC, body damage and Floors repaired. I have no confidence in our trailer and have requested an extended warranty from you. My wife and I called and emailed many people with complaints about the service and failure to receive responses from camping world personnel. My wife and I feel it is only fair to us that you extend our warranty for our trailer with out any cost to us. This would not only show us that you are truly apologetic about how we were treated but also would demonstrate confidence the trailer you sold us. I would appreciate a response for our request from someone in this email as soon as possible. I have all correspondence if there is any question about dates, repairs and customer service.

Camping World - Trailer Winterization Review from Clifton Park, New York

First the salesman forged my husbands signature on the contract, good thing we decided to actually buy it three weeks later! Then there were several repairs to be made before we took it off lot -- not done, returned several times for the same things ! When we called to have the unit winterized on their property while waiting for them to put in the transmission -- they said they did -- got it home, went to flush it out EVERY PIPE IS BROKEN!!!

Camping World in Saint Augustine, Florida - Service requested was not performed

I went to the St. Augustine Camping Word 4/30/15, to have a “bubble test’ done. This is where the interior of the rig is pressurized and soapy water is brushed over the exterior. Bubbles form where the air is escaping indicating a leak. I told the service writer what I wanted and that I wanted to see the bubbles. I was told I had to be in the waiting room, but they would show me the leaks when they found them. Some time later the service writer some in spouting that I need a peel and seal. I ask to see where the bubbles are forming. He told me he could not do that because the fan had been removed from the rig. I was pissed. I was very specific that I wanted to see where the bubbles were forming and they did not do this.

Camping World - 5Th Wheel Camper Review from Seattle, Washington

Details
Where is Marcus Lemonis the profit on television and the CEO of Camping World? He claims to fix broken businesses but apparently can't fix his own house. I have a neighbor who purchased a new 5th wheel RV From Camping World in Burlington WA and after less than a year it leaks like Niagara Falls and the heater stopped working she is a single lady with limited means and camping world brought her RV to their shop and after almost a month still not fixed, she bought the extended warranty but camping world claims it's the manufacturers problem so no work is done. To add insult to injury her RV was broken into and the safe which is hidden in the unit was opened and all her antique coins stolen , all done with a key Hmm maybe an employee with a master key. .

Camping World - Sales Manager Review from Greenwood, Indiana

We bought our 5th wheel camper from Camping World in February 2015. When we initially looked, the camper was parked so close to other campers that the slide out could not be extended. During the walk thru we noticed the water heater door was missing, the plug wire needed fixed and the battery was junk. Mike Mattei was our salesman and at first we had a good impression. He said by time we picked up the door would be replaced, plug fixed and a good battery. He assured us there was no water damage and we didn't visually see any. We went back two weeks later to do a final walk thru and after calling us to see why we weren't there yet... Mike informed us the slide out broke so they would have to keep it and get it fixed. But in return they would deliver it. After two more weeks of no word, my husband happened to be on Craigslist looking at campers and saw our camper back on Craigslist for sale!! He called Mike and he claimed he had no idea what happened, I called to speak to a manager. I was told only sales people put campers on Craiglist and the manager said he would get an answer on the status for us by the end of the day. Mike called back, let us know delivery would be that following week. My husband was planning to come home early from work to help the driver set the camper so I had him call the day of just to verify it was really being delivered. Mike informed him that it wasn't coming that day. One truck broke down and the other truck was on its way back from Cali. I skipped over our sales guy and called the manager to see what the deal was. I couldn't believe Camping World had only one driver. It's true. And the sales manager assured me it would be delivered the next week when the driver returned. Finally, it was delivered on the day promised. The driver was fantastic! They did put a new water heater door on but did not get us a good battery or fix the plug. There was also now *** in the door going into the camper. But the slide out does work. Now. After the first spring rain that lasted for a few days, we walked in the camper to find wet walls. Long story short, the entire back wall is riddled on the inside with mold... there is no way we can use it until the entire roof is replaced and the back end is repaired. It was definitely something they knew about but covered up. After countless calls and messages, no one will return our calls. We will have more in repairs than we paid for the *** thing. Today we FINALLY got a call back but not with good news. According to the General Manager at this location "We do not inspect trade-ins, we just throw it on the lot and sell it" THEN told us we could bring our mold riddled camper back and trade it in for another unit, and kindly told us we could finance the difference. Are you serious!? Finance a camper when I paid cash for this one... AND trade in for another moldy mess on your lot!? No thanks. Please, if you consider a purchase from them... Especially USED, know that they haven't inspected it and that when they guarantee that it's in "great shape" means absolutely nothing.

We bought a new 31ft camper from them and had issues. The flooring was coming up and we couldn't get the oven to light.

The way they fixed the oven was put a piece of paper towel in the *** to make it push in all the way.

The flooring they said they fixed but it has all curled up and cracked so my husband has replaced it. Other than them not having a remote repair person to come service ours when we need it we've enjoyed the camper for the past 8 years.

*** I would have driven that camper right back and told them to shove it where the sun don't shine...
