Electric Outlet Installation Review

I have a new RV. I had CW install a second dash outlet. When I later tried the outlet it didn't work, and the factory outlet had been shorted out too. (It was working fine before CW) They charged me $80 for a new outlet. When I complained the only solution they offered was to remove the outlets altogether. The customer service person, Brian, was a real ***.

took my rv in for a quote to get fixed, little damage nothing major. took seven weeks to get a estimate. going on nine weeks no trailer yet. excuse after excuse. they lie to you to no end! They deceive you like your a piece of ***! cant get anywhere with them. Talk to the main store manager Craig Carpenter. He said he would have the Manager of service call me the little piece of *** had a counter guy call me and lie to me again. Had to cancel my memorial weekend campout because of them which has to be reserved nine months ahead of time at a campground in NY state but they couldnt care less. Now i have a Father's Day weekend coming up with family lets see if it is done, i dont it! PLEASE dont ever go there! almost time to get a lawyer!

I visited the Camping World in Fairview OR. After visiting, my family and i agreed the customer service was one of the most non caring service personnel we'd experienced. The salesman knew nothing about the inventory or brand descriptions. The lot has new on both sides of the lots, service and warranty Mixed thoughout on one side and workers smoking right at the entry exit doors who were criticizing the customers who had visited. My family went to use the bathrooms and felt we were at a port a toilet. Im concerned after seeing and hearing Marcus "The Profit" purchased ownership, and had expected to see Marcus expectations in place. This was not the case. Id like to see improvement!!

I think Marcus and all "The Profit" stuff is a bunch of baloney. My experience at Camping World is poor.

The service side is run under the philosophy of a used car dealership, what do we do to empty the customers wallet.

That includes lying when necessary.

Camping World in Burlington, Washington - Attempt to fry our battery?

It's May 2015. The Facts; We have a 40' motor home we're into our 4th month "Full Timing" touring the USA. We scheduled an oil & filter change and replace a few battery cables on a "bank" of four batteries; all are connected. Let the experts deal with the cable replacements and cleanup of acid buildup. Pros; Did great job on oil/filter change! Cons;Did poor job on reassembly of cables! Specifically placed the "Inverter/Charger Cable" on wrong terminal & battery! We discovered this mistake (10 hours later) is "Electric/Electronics Basics 101" knowledge. Which may have easily "Fried" one battery (the tech misreconnected the Inverter cable to) fortunately we simply disconnected the main power (land) and all interior fuses before we went to sleep that night. Too bad the Company won't fess up to the error. Conclusion; Our objective? You beware of this particular section (Electrical) from this particular store! Also, perhaps Camping World of Burlington can avoid this boo boo next time with their Techs!

Camping World in Fairfield, Ohio - WEB Order

Placed an order on May 16th for an in stock item. Sent two emails on May 21st asking why my order was still processing. My second email contained my order confirmation and was the one that was answered. C/S stated that they were updateing thier WEB ordering and since a Holiday weekend was comming up, Memorial Day, it would be Tuesday before things would be running again. My opinion is that this time of year when camping is getting started is not a good time to be updating your WEB order system, someone needs a CAT Scan. May 28th my order is still in processing, and my credit card has not been charged, I figure why reward a business that can't perform so I called to cancel my order. This is actually my second gripe about Camping World, my first started about a week earlier. They took over an RV dealership just up the road from me during this past winter. I went in to by a cap for one I lost to my fresh water fill, it was $10 plus change and tax not to mention they didn't carry Polar White. They sell an entire fresh water fill assembly for $13 and change. Makes you wonder how a small cap can be about 85% of the cost of a larger more complex assembly.

Called to check on order that was ordered 7 days ago. Was on hold the first time for 15 min and then disconnected, second time on hold for 30 min and was told order had not shipped would be at least 10 to 14 more days before shipped. I cancelled my order and will not...

I have to agree. I am a new member to Camping World and placed my first order last over a week ago.

I was thinking that I have not receieved any notification of it shipping nor have I seen the items. In checking Camping Worlds system, I found out that my order is still processing.

This is ridiculous. Seeven days to process an order.

Camping World in Dripping Springs, Texas - Terrible customer service

You can not get through on the customer service numbers. I have called 8 times over the last 2 days and have been placed on hold for over 40 minutes. I just need to check the status of an order I placed 8 days ago. I tried checking the status online and it shows no info after I input the order #, name and zip code. So that is totally useless. I also sent 2 emails with no response. My husband and I have spent a lot of money at Camping World over the few years and will not place future orders nor shop there again.

Husband and I went to purchase a camper and was told that it wasn't approved. The salesman Mark Alan wanted me to come back in and look at a used camper. On the new one we were asked how much of a down payment we could do. We told him around a $1000. Well we were not asked for a down payment for the used one. Now they want $2000 down on the used one. The financing went through but they will not deliver our camper until we give them the $2000 which salesman put on contract after we signed it. They won't let us cancel the deal either. Please do not buy from the Louisville, Tn.store. went in to talk to the manager and he stood behind the salesman so we are stuck with a camper that we cannot get until the money is paid. Attorney can't do anything about it. It's our word against theres. I only want to be contacted by corporate office.
