Camping World in Oxford, Georgia - Lied to buy salesman about warranty

Bought a 2003 used motor home the RV looked great We were told everything under the front end was new. We took it hook line and sinker, Our first trip the ac went out the breaks went. Cost 750. For ac cost 700 for break. The front end had to be replaced 10.000.00 This was our first experience with dump. World.every thing was suppose to be covered for one year as we were told they sent us a check for 200.00 BEWARE DONT TaKE there word for a cent paid 23000. For motorhome now I have a 33750.000 they tried the old switch and bait wanted me to trade it in on a new with another 10 0/0 down wake up camping world we r real people who work hard to go on vacations not just to pay for yours

Camping World in Tallahassee, Florida - Good Sam extended warranty sucks

Black water tank broke loose and almost fell out of RV. took it to Tallahassee, FL Camping World for repair. Extended warranty says black water tank replacement or repair is covered. Camping World finally looked at it after a week(another complaint)and found that a bracket bolted to the frame holding the tank in had bolts broken and let the tank drop. Good Sam extended warranty does not cover the four little bolts that broke and any other repair is not covered because any damage caused by the bolts breaking is "consequential damage" and is not covered. Don't get Good Sam extended warranty insurance!

I agree bought a good Sam extended warranty for our 17’ travel trailer last year we just got back from vacation and problems with our slide out I called camping world explained my problem and told them I had the good Sam extended warranty they it would not cover the time to fix the problem of our slide out I’m very angry with our warranty they told me from the start it would everything in the slide out!

Camping World - Winnebago Rv Review from Phoenix, Arizona

I made an appointment to get warranty work done on a brand new Winnebago RV I purchased from somewhere else. They didn't even look at the problem after waiting for a week and told me to call back on the following Monday. I was asked by the service department if I purchased the RV from the Las Vegas store, when I dropped it off and of course I told them "no" that shouldn't matter right? Well earlier in the year, while shopping for the RV I was told by a salesperson how they give priority to people who purchase RV's from them. He said you could wait months to get your RV back from them, even for something simple. That is terribble customer service. Needless to say I called Winnebago and they told me to take it somewhere else. I also will never give Camping World my business again. Beware of the Las Vegas service department if you didn't buy your Winnebago there take it to Findlay RV instead.

Camping World in Grafton, Wisconsin - No interest in the customer or a sale

Camping World Of Saukville, WHAT A JOKE! Went to look at “toy haulers” with living quarters. (100K to spend) It was immediately apparent to me that the customer or a sale is of little or no importance to them. “I'm sorry but no one is available now to help you. NOTE; 4 people were sitting in their respective offices polishing their “door” knobs & 2 guys were laughing it up, BS’ing in he 5th cubicle. “Here's an extremely dull pencil & a piece of paper. Wander around aimlessly & if you see something you like, write down the model # & then, maybe, just maybe we can find someone to help you!” After wondering around aimlessly for about a 1/2 hour I went in, frustrated & set the pencil & paper down at the receptionist & stated that I might return when they had some time available for the customer.

Camping World in Phoenix, Arizona - Card charged 3 weeks ago, still haven't received merchandise.

I placed an order on May 17, 2015. 3 days later my CC was charged, twice, although several days and phone calls later one of the charges was removed, (the charge without the discount of course.) After 3 emails with no response, several phone calls, after being on hold for over 40 minutes, I finally talked to an agent who wasn't listening to my complaint. She just focused on the missing $5. discount, NOT the charging without shipping the items or not even shipping or acknowledging the order. I ask to speak to a supervisor, and after several moments I finally talked with a supervisor. Again she focused on the missing $5. discount and not the missing order. I finally convinced her that I wasn't checked on the discount, but on the order status. When I did get the reason for my calls across, she found the order and gave me an order number, which subsequently cannot be found by the "check order status" on their website. When I asked why my card was charged before the items were shipped, I was told it's their new policy. Their "new policy" has been using my $150.+ for over 2 weeks now. Their "customer service" and is a big joke. They're now telling me it will ship "today" (again) and I "should" have it by end of day on Tuesday. We'll see.

Camping World in Billerica, Massachusetts - Unresponsive Service Department

Camper was in for warranty work tried to find out what was happening. Their service department does not answer their phone no matter what time you call. You have to leave messages and If you are lucky they may return your call. After several messages over several days they will finally call back. It is extremely frustrating trying to get in touch with them. and this is the normal not the exception. They also act like they are doing you a favor when you do talk to them. At one point I sat in front of the building and called service. The receptionist came back on after many rings of the service departments phone and said they were with customers. I could see the srvice desk and there were no customers there. This has to be the worst service department I have ever dealt with.

Camping World in Conneaut, Ohio - Poor customer service

Ordered a camping highchair for my grandson. Used it one time, and it broke. He was only 6 months old so it wasn't that he was over the weight limit, and he was only in it for like a half hour. When we went to fold it up to put it away, noticed that it was broken. Emailed them, received a reply that their processing system was being upgraded and to contact the later in the week. Have sent them several emails over the past few weeks from different email addresses, no reply. Will never order from them again, never seen a company that did not reply back to the customer.

Just to clarify, estimate was in writing. Also, my complaint is not really price however ATTITUDE.

Mistakes are made. However when the resolution is to attack the customer, that is unacceptable.

Ocala Fla location. Got a quote for tires from this location Came in a week later to order. Sales guy told me it would be another $250. Politely asked to speak to service manger. He came out and had a very bad attitude right from the start. Said quote was too aggressive. Anything I said in conversation, he came back with an attitude that assumed I was an ***. Asked to speak to GM. He basically said he did RV sales and could have cared less. Bottom line, will never do business with camping world again. If you need general RV products, you can buy online cheaper anyway. Marcus Lemon (CEO) may project a customer service attitude however truth is the attitude of store management is quite poor.

No response to my email to Camping World customer service. As indicated Camping World could care less.

Another item, received a marketing letter signed by Marcus Lemon promoting the travel protection plan from the Camping World affiliate Good Sam Club. Stated many things they would do, including flying you home in a medical emergency and having someone drive your RV back at no charge. Curious, I went online and read the policy fine print.

Full of many exceptions.

Camping World - Air Conditioning Repair Review from Woodville, Texas

My motor home has been at camping world Katy since Feb. 13 to repair air conditioning and jack system. They called and said it was ready and we went to pick up on May 22 after a shocking bill we go and get in motor home air still not fixed after them trying to charge 2400. When originally suppose to be around 1500. Received an e mail yesterday and service writer says that the technician still has not got back to her.. This is very unacceptable practice and no one should have to take this.. I would recommend that never take anything to get repaired unless you like trial and error and being without your RV for six months..and plenty of money so they can TRY to fix.

Camping World in Green Bay, Wisconsin - Item never received

May 11 i ordered a propane fire table. The email i received after ordering stated i would see it in 1 to 2 weeks. Just shy of 2 weeks i called to see if delivery would be on time because the website was not working to check my status online. They told me they couldn't see my shipping details at that time because of the change of computer systems they were going through and the suppliers office was not open so they could not check with them either. I waited until June 2nd and tried my call again to see if they could see my order yet. Now we are at 3 weeks and she said she saw the order but it didn't transfer to the new system and they would have to re-order. Now the product is on backorder and it would take another 4-6 weeks. With this info, I canceled my order and purchased a different fire pit table elsewhere. I will never shop with Camping World again and I will tell others to go elsewhere as well.
