Never have I ever seen a disorganized group of people in my life. overcharged me on what I already had a quote on & addressed 1 concern on a list of 7 concerns. I picked it up after hours and left on my vacation only to find a front jack not installed, awning light hanging down, my doors locked "they have the keys" and I'm heading on a one week vacation. they asked for a credit card to keep incase my concerns were not warranty. "brand new trailer" of course its under warranty... WTF is wrong with people... I called for two weeks asking for an update and was told I will have to have someone call you I'm not in charge of you're unit. never got a call...

Camping World Rv Service Review from Freeport, Florida
Camping World Panama City, Fl damaged my Motor Home Steps and S/S Trim while working on my unit. It was struck by another RV.. They replaced my steps and will not replace the trim. ($245.00) I have stopped payment on my bill till this issue is resolved. They also overched me for parts lost wile doing repair. THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH!

We had a similar problem with Camping World in Meridian ,they showed us several trailers ,we decided on a 31 ft Coleman with rear living room ,when we went into sign the papers,we found out the salesman misquoted the price,and that trailer was $5000 more,which we didn't qualify for .So we settled for the one with rear bunks. after getting it home we discovered the cushions had threads coming loose , there was no Towel holders, no toilet paper holder, and there is no shower incloser, just paneling ,that wont last for very few showers. Ive contacted Camping world about this over a month ago and haven't heard anything back. Feel like we were Bait and Switched.

Camping World in Phoenix, Arizona - I placed an order and only got part of the order, no help

Well I placed an order and only received 1 item, I called and was on hold for over an hour finally spoke with someone that had no clue about customer service along with looking up my order. Come to find out 1 item was on back-order which they never told me about and the other items were at the warehouse sitting, never shipped out. I called the manufacture and they said they had a warehouse full of covers, not sure why Camping World said they are on back-order. Never going to do business with these idiots again. Buyers be ware.

I placed an order for jacks, shocks, day/night shades and windshield. Almost $8,000.00 was taken from my checking account over 3 weeks ago and all we have to show for it is 3 shocks.

After 10 phone calls, we were told that 1 is on backorder. Bad business and equally bad customer service.

Yep, agin. Same thing that happened to me.

Buyers beware, this company has no control of inventory, shipping or placed orders. Also found prices at my small hometown RV service center are significantly less expensive and better quality.

Camping World in Hendersonville, North Carolina - Zero customer service

We just purchased a brand-new class A motorhome from a Camping World. The transfer switch died after two days. This meant the generator is useless unless we have shore power. We travel to campsites that have no hookups, and given it is June/July (the middle of summer) our camper is useless! It's too hot not to have AC and the overhead bunk and microwave can't function. You would think this problem would have been taken care of ASAP given this unit just rolled off the lot. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We are several weekends into our new camper for the summer and have yet to be able to use it. Of course the payment bill has already come in. We have called regarding the part on order and all we get is a voice recorder. When we do reach someone we are told the part has been expedited and should be here in a couple days… But it never shows up! A motorhome is one of the largest purchases of our lives and yet we can get the brand new unit functioning! Don't walk away from this company… Run!

Among RVers, Camping World has a horrible reputation. Would serve you well if you have other issues to find another RV service center to deal with your warranty work.

You do not have to go to the place you bought it. I live in Hendersonville, and used to go to a place called Richards RV in SC..I think it was Greer or Greenville. They are a warranty station for most of the separate components that are liklely in your RV, like fridge, furnace, generator, etc. Once you get everything working like it should, this part of the experience will be behind you.

However, sometimes CW is good for things like sewer hoses, etc if they have better prices than Amazon....Alternatively, you could call a mobile RV tech and pay retail and just get it done. If you are sure it is the switch, you can likely change it out yourself with just some patience and maybe a friend who knows a bit about wiring.

If you can find the identical part and install it yourself, it may be worth it rather than waiting weeks or months. The switch in my RV is about 400 dollars new...

Camping World - First and last order with them

Placed an order on 6/25. It never shipped. Sent emails to customer service with only an auto-reply and case number. No one followed up, either in writing or on the phone. Numerous phone calls to "customer service" when no one picked up the phone EVER! Just lousy music on hold with a count down on how many times the recording played! I see this company owner on TV helping other companies; why doesn't he stay home and make sure his own company is working. Heads should roll over their "technical glitch." Cancelled my order today. Never again will I be sucked in.

Did a lot of research on a part I needed, and gave the order to Camping World because they indicated it was in stock. After two weeks the part had not arrived and I called them, a real hassle in itself - plan on at least 40 minutes call wait time. At that time they indicated their system was acting up and my part had not been ordered from the manufacturer, so much for in stock, and so much for their system. They indicated it would ship "within a few days". No part arrived and I called back, again after long wait, got an agent who indicated it would be three weeks yet! Called the manufacturer at that point and he indicated, " oh yes, I just got that order a couple of minutes ago". Bottom line: the standard mode of operation at Camping World is to lie. I'm still working the problem.

I bought a 2014 forest river class c motor home and was very pleased with everyone! From Don the sales guy, Randy the manager, Jim the finance guy to John and Wayne the walk thru guys! We bought our trailer there in the coldest part of the winter. It's mandatory to pay this huge fee for an inspection.

Everything was supposed to be repaired that was found in the inspection. We had the trailer delivered to our home. Right away we started noticing things that were not repaired.

So far we've had to replace 4 things including a bathroom faucet and hot water heater element. I question whether it was even inspected.

Camping World in Rapid City, South Dakota - Disappointing

We bought our first travel trailer from Camping World outside of Rapid City SD. Our sales person was nice but not extremely knowledgable. We told them we were newbies to the travel trailer. They claimed we would get a walk thru prior to taking it home. Guess what. That walk thru person was new. So we struggled thru that. Our hauling vehicle also needed a brake system installed prior to leaving with trailer. They couldn't find the harness on our vehicle. What! We were clueless. Instead of the employee calling the dealership we left without trailer. Drove to dealership who show location. Made a second appt to pick up trailer. Arrived and employees stated they were extremely busy because of storm the night before. Sorry not my fault we had an appt but it took over an hour. We asked for another walk thru and were given dirty look. Again we get the same new guy and by his body language he was done with us. They didn't have in stock a drop down hitch but we could wait another 45 mins for the parts guy to drop one off at store. We just bought something close to what we needed. So after that disappointing situation I would not recommend this place.

Sorry to hear about your experience at camper world, when you are ready to buy again come to dakota discount rv and ask for Tom, he will help you and if he doesn't know the answer he will find it for you, bought our rv from him and he was great, also there service department is amazing and they do an amazing walk thru.
