Wrong the shower valves were broke the refrigerator only works when plug in front ac unit doesn't get cold thermostat for the ac doesn't work properly. The trailer plug in is wired wrong. Now when I pick it up the dash ac wasn't working they took it back and supposedly fix it wrong I went under hood and found a loose line that was never tightend thus let all the freon out. I called the service dept in redding ca they had no record of working on this motor home. Totally BS I now afraid to take back to them I don't think they know what there doing. So I will get fixed by a another source. Do not go to camping world in redding ca you will be lied to and will never get a good product Edward Bray

Camping World shopper beware

1.0
Details
If you’re about to spend thousands of $$$ for an RV, you may want to read this. I can’t go RV’ing because my 2014 HEARTLAND Wilderness leaks grey water all over the ground. I bought it NEW from CAMPING WORLD and have made 6 attempts to get the problem fixed, 4 of those attempts resulted in repairs being made, which have all failed. Camping World (multiple locations) keeps putting a band-aid on a fracture. Camping World only does repairs that Heartland will allow/approve. I have been fighting this battle with CW and HL for over a year now and it seems I have lost. “”As previously noted, CWRV Sales sold the RV “AS IS” and excluded from the sale all express or implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.””---David Partin, Camping World RV Sales. “Additional components which have been installed in the recreational vehicle, including but not limited to microwave ovens, ranges, refrigerators, leveling jacks, furnaces/heaters, generators, power converters, batteries, and other items not specifically manufactured by Heartland RV, LCC, are warranted by the component manufacturers as detailed in their individual manufacturers warranties, and are not covered by this Limited Warranty”--- excerpt from my Heartland owner’s manual. So between the two above “disclaimers” good luck getting your Camping World/Heartland RV repaired correctly under warranty. My warranty has now expired, while sitting at a Camping World location awaiting repairs, after having spent almost half its life in repair shops. Do your research, make your own decision and good luck RV’ing. Beware…Heartland makes, and Camping World sells a lot of brands. Items that have fallen off, broken, or failed: spare tire cover, holding tank drain cap, holding tank T-handle, TV mounting screws, rear bumper end cap, oven wouldn’t stay lit, exit door threshold, stabilizer mounting screws, shore power coupling mounting screws, kitchen sink drain plumbing, bathroom sink drain plumbing, external propane coupling, water heater wiring bundle, kitchen drawer, main entry door, main entry screen door, mattress collapsed, TV cable connector, shower faucet valves(both), shower drain plumbing leak. Oh yeah, it was still winterized upon delivery and the tires weren’t even aired up. If this sounds like sour grapes, it is, because I have a brand new, at time of purchase, $20,000 RV that I can’t use and can’t get fixed. Thanks CAMPING WORLD and HEARTLAND for putting an expensive and disheartening impediment to my retirement. This post is regarding my purchase and ownership of a 2014 Heartland Wilderness from Camping World. No other dispute with Camping World, Heartland, et al is expressed nor implied.

Camping World - Warranty Review from Bay Minette, Alabama

1.0
Details
Would you believe this, because it happened. It took four times to get my refrigerator fixed , on the third time they told me they were going to put a new cooling unit in instead they put a used one in hoping I would not find out,but I did so i called the service and the general manager raised *** for putting a used refrigerator in. The next day they came to my house with a new one this was supposably under warranty. I called Dometic and told them the story and come to find out it was not the warranty refrigerator. Dometic was super helpful with me , they got me a refrigerator that's got a two year warranty. I will never use camping world service department in Robertsdale Al again. I got more but I think yall get the picture.

Camping World in Fayetteville, North Carolina - Refrigerator Rip-Off

I purchased a new gas/electric refrigerator from Camping World in Fayetteville, NC. I got a full quote for the refrigerator and for installation from the Service Manager. Basically the would install it for $ 230.00 as claimed in the quote. Took my coach to Camping World. When the final bill arrived they had charge almost $ 800.00 for the installation alone. When I asked the shop mechanic about it he had no explanation. That is when I paid the bill, went home and wrote a letter to the President of Camping World showing the estimate and the final bill. I immediately got a call from the GM at the Fayetteville store. Two days later a refund check for the difference between the estimate and the bill came in the mail. If you have a problem, go to the top to get things done!

Camping World in Lovettsville, Virginia - DO NOT HONOR ONLINE PRICES or STAND BEHIND DAMAGED PRODUCTS

I ordered an ice machine online that was advertised at $149.99. During Checkout, I saw the price change to $179.99. When I called, they said they wouldn't honor the $149.99 and that they were working to correct the problem. I continued with the order because of our upcoming camping plans. When I received the package, they didn't bother to ship it in an additional box. It was slapped with a shipping label in the box that it would be in on a shelf. Of course the ice machine was badly damaged including a horrible dent an scratches. The manager stated that they wouldn't be able to send a replacement until the warehouse received this one back. I offered to send tracking info because of our upcoming camping trip. She declined. They have HORRIBLE customer service from start to finish. AVOID when you have other online options!

Camping World - Horrible service, did not honor warranty, disaster camper

Purchased new Summerland camper--we now call it the disaster camper. After our third camping trip the awning FELL OFF the camper onto the road. I noticed when I saw the awning arms flailing off the side of the camper. This was just the beginning of the fun. We had the tools to fix the problem, but called for service on the Good Sam Elite warranty so the warranty would not be voided. After three phone calls--the first rep said to take the service--and Waiting two hours for repairman, we were charged $140 of a $365 bill for work we could have done. Took camper in for service at Camping World. Claim denied through manufacturer. Claim denied through Good Sam warranty! Service department made no effort to fix the problem in time for a camping trip we had planned for one year 3 weeks later. Picked up camper, took it to a different service department and filed a claim through our insurance to get it repaired. Traded that camper. Asked for refund of Good Sam warranty. To get the PAPERWORK for the refund took weeks. After playing nice for 4 weeks, I called over 10 times in one day, refused to accept a multitude of excuses and stayed on the phone until the email was actually in my inbox. I would never do business with camping world again and encourage the RV community to stop frequenting their business. They don't deserve us.

Having problems with ours as well. Bought it new from camping world.

First off the ac keeps freezing up from day one. Took the interior cover off to find an inch and a half of ice on the coil. Took it back to them to get the response I expected. They cannot reproduce the problem.

Went out the next weekend and it froze up again about the same time of day.10 am. 20 grand I spent on this camper because they sold the used one we wanted out from under us that was half the cost. Bought this in August 2015 and by November the microwave turn table stopped turning now. Camping World is the worst.

Find a mom and pop dealer. You'd be better off.

Camping World in Las Vegas, Nevada - Research before you ever go to CW. Complete incompetance on all levels.

We have been RVing for over 40 years and have owned 8 motor homes during this time period. 18 months ago we purchased our last coach and had to take it to CW for service. It took 7 weeks for "minor" repairs under warranty. If you want calls and progress reports this is not the company to deal with. Month 11 we took in in for very minor warranty work and 4 months later it was done. Again, if you want call back or progress reports, you are dealing with the wrong company. You will rarely ever get a call back and if you do it will be several weeks later. Calling a supervisor, forget it. You will never ever get a call back even if you call CW corporate! Ask for the GM of the facility, no way will you get a call back or any response. Sales: We will never again deal with CW. They used to be a good store for parts and service many years ago. We will now only deal with a MFG direct. In our opinion it is worth it to drive, or have you rig towed a few hundred miles to a facility other than CW. It is a shame that this company has deterioted to the bottom level of service. Example, just try and get propane. You are treated lower than a rat that is bothering their dogs food bowl. Customer service in their parts department has been horrible for the past few years too. A shame. We finally sold our rig and will now look at going factory direct. A true shame. Just look at Better Business Bureau reports and complaints listed on any blogs before ever dealing with CW. This company just does not deserve the good RV family community that we have all built.
