Camping World in Warner Robins, Georgia - Incompetent technicians!

I brought my older motorhome (1981 Holiday Rambler) in for service a month ago because the Onan generator wouldn't work. The service manager said he couldn't give me an estimate until a technician performed an inspection of the generator. So I gave them the green light to do so for a cost of $129. About an hour later the service manager said the technician said that I had a bad coil. When I asked the service manager what it would cost to replace the coil, he said that he couldn't tell me because he didn't even know whether they could get a coil. In other words, I was back to square one. I spent the next couple of weeks trying to find someone who could replace the coil--no luck! Then I spent several days days trying to find a replacement coil. I finally found one for about $80 and then put the coil on myself. However, the generator still wouldn't start. Finally, I found a local mechanic who said he would fix the generator, which he did for a total cost of $55! He said the problem wasn't the coil! The electronic ignition just need adjusting. In other words, Camping World's technician didn't know what he was talking about! And his misdiagnosis cost me over $200 and countless hours of searching, not to mention a whole lot of frustration! I will never again take a camper to Camping World! And I will tell every one I know who owns a camper to avoid the place as well! Joe Treece Joe Treece

Camping World - Extended Warranty Sales Scam Little Rock CW

Watch Out during the paper work! My fault because I was taken in by the smiles and backslapping, boy I made it easy for them. Love my RV and satisfied with the price. BUT! After driving 180 miles from my home to pick up the Rv and finalize the walkthru at a 1:00pm appointment that happened at 4pm (8/8/14 Friday night) I got in a hurry and signed paper work and hit the road to get back before dark. When reviewed the paper work (8/16/15) I had paid $11,000 for $6000 worth of warranties. I faxed a Cancel Request right then. Of course all calls went to a VM. Tuesday I finally got a return call from a sales manager, he said price was a mistake and would change if I kept ,I said no. Later I got email from the finance guy Craig Manes, (The one that I let screw me) he said it was to late to stop paper work (now remember it was Sunday the 16th) and would have to wait 4-6 weeks for a refund but my payments would remain the same loans would just be paid off sooner. Lucky for me I can pay off in full which I will, did get a fair interest rate. Plus I didn't have half my paper work copies I signed. I really screwed myself, my fault. Just very disappointed with trying to cancel and lies told to stop me from canceling. CW has no customer service . This is just a short of the whole story. Point is as saying goes ,Buyer be aware of sheep in wolf clothes. Sad, I really wanted a good relationship with CW, thanks to Little Rock that won't be. Thankfull there is Amazon for accessories and good mobile RV guy that can handle most of my appliance and such for any need warranty work near by. I did purchase better polices for a 1/3 of CW from WW. Also getting full road master tow and brake install for $2800 vs CW $4200 for my toad. Copied the Little Rock CW General Manager Hans Maclennan on all emails, never heard for the guy. Yep, he was one of the smiling backslappers.

Camping World in Byron, Georgia - Bait and Switch?

We found a Class C motorhome on the internet site for Camping World in Byron, GA. The listed price was $49,977 a markdown from the original price of over $70,000.00. We called for availability, and the salesman told us it was but someone was trying to buy it through financing which meant that it was available to anyone who came up with the money. We told the salesman we were on our way with cash. We drove 150 miles one way and arrived to find out the coach had just sold. Not to worry, the salesman told us he had another one for "a few dollars more". We looked at it and asked for a price. The "few dollars more" price was $58,000.00. On what planet is $9,000.00 a few dollars? When tax, dealer prep and etc. was added the final price was $63,000.00. Wasted a day and gas to drive 300 miles. The coach with the $49,977.00 is still listed on the internet, 7 days after it was supposedly sold.

Camping World in Greenwood, Indiana - Good and bad

we took our Fleetwood in for repairs after a close lightning strike in Georgia, most electronics were dead they finally fixed it but, it took 5 trips and 3 months to get everything working. they said 2 weeks! at the beginning. the store department however, has been very helpful especially Myndi Hiland. they are always pleasant .you want one hundred words and I don't talk that much! so here is a poem twinkle, twinkle, little star how I wonder where you are, up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. just need six more words to finish this.

Is this Camping World in Greenwood, Indiana or is this where you live? You are the first one that I have read that had a good experience. We have only owned our brand new unit for a week and had an unpleasant experience in Madison.

Camping World in Rapid City, South Dakota - Review

I feel bad for the folks who say they had a bad experience at this Camping World location. I, on the other hand, had a wonderful first experience with this same location. I had to return a defective item and the person who took care of me was very knowledgeable about the item being returned and replaced the item without question. I made certain that I commended the management for such wonderful customer service and to let them know just how well the associate took care of me with my return. After speaking with one of the managers, I found that the main premise of this particular Camping World is Customer Satisfaction. Unfortunately, however, like any other business, they can occasionally get caught on a 'bad day' due to unexpected circumstances such as this couple experienced when purchasing their new trailer. Things do happen that are out of our control. However, I can recommend this Camping World very highly to all and would not hesitate to purchase there in the future.

Camping World in Eugene, Oregon - Warranty runaround

In February of 2014 we purchased a 2013 Raptor 5th Wheel from the newly opened Coburg Oregon Camping World. We were informed to keep a list of warranty work and bring in before expiration. We brought it in January 2014, it sat on their lot for almost two months with no work except to repair the damage they caused. To date we are waiting on a remote for the DVD, outside decals, LED awning lights and other items that we are taking care of ourselves. DO NOT PURCHASE A RV from CAMPING WORLD. Their warranty and customer service SUCKS!! BUYER BEWARE!! .

Camping World in Marietta, Georgia - Felt little scammed

We just bought a new camper. it was not the one we looked at and put a deposit on. We made a decision that we would go ahead purchase the one presented to us the day we picked up. We probably should have walked away from the bait and switch. Even the paperwork is for the one we thought we were buying. We like it and just hope there are no issue with it. Also very hard sell for extended warranty with comments that The manufacturer really didn't cover anything during the 2 year warranty period. If you are buying a camper, take a picture of the VIN number before you do any paperwork. We received an email about our experience with a promise to read and respond, as of 5 days ago, that has not happened wither
