Camping World in Tucson, Arizona - Odered Day and Night Shades for my motor home and everything went dowhill from there.

I was told that the shades are custom made for each order and it would be up to 6 weeks for delivery. I was also told I would get a confirmation e-mail with all info regarding measurements, sizes, colors etc. I wanted make sure that they matched the other shades I had installed previously. 5 days later I received a shipment and was obviously surprised, since the shades can not be made that quickly. When I opened the box, I noticed that the measurements were not correct and the hardware was in plastic bags which were deteriorated. Upon further checking I found a manufacturers date from 2008 - 7years old? I also discovered that this package had been shipped from the Camping World warehouse in Kentucky where all returns go from customers. I then spent over 2 months just to get my payment returned to my credit card. After many calls which put me on hold for up to 30 minutes listening to their goofy electronic music and telling me my call was important, I was finally able to get an e-mail address from on women who was actually trying to help me, because I was not happy at all with Camping World. This is a short version of the whole experience. My customer account also had information with another customer's name and info. I finally got money returned and decided that if I ever need anything, I would only go to Camping World if they were the only place to obtain something that no one else sold - not going to happen - they only thing that they have that many RV Stores don't have is extremely poor service. I finally did get a 50.00 gift certificate from Camping World with an apology - and wouldn't you know - I went to the Camping World Store here in Tucson to use it, and the clerk was not exactly polite when she told me that the card did not match my account when I arrived at the check out. I tried to *** my lip and remain civil when she told me I would have to contact customer service to correct it. I asked that instead - SHE call customer service and verify that they had screwed my account up and assured me that every thing had been corrected including removing the other customer's name from my account. She did so reluctantly and was able to verify the info and complete my purchase with my Camping World Gift Certificate. And you think I will go back to them ever again after having been a customer for 25 years? NOT!

Sunday we went to camping world in Mesa, AZ to look for a toy hauler. We were greeted by Ryan who was great and took the time to show us around the lot. We then came across a used 2006 toy hauler. He told us they had it sold but the deal fell through. The people were going to try and get private financing the sales manger then told Ryan there was a very little chance these people would qualify. Never were we told the party had a deposit down on the trailer. We were under the impression the trailer was available. Fast forward almost 3 hours where we come to an agreement on price. We ask Ryan, so dose this mean the trailer is ours if we qualify? Ryan says yes! Not once were we told that this trailer might be sold to another party or that we were a back up deal or that the other party even had a deposit down. This VERY important information was NEVER relayed to us. We were under the impression that the trailer would be ours if we qualified. If we would have know this we would have never authorized Camping World to run our credit or give them a down payment. We would have simple requested to let us know if the deal goes through or not and we will talk then. Here we are Wednesday afternoon and we are just now finding out about the situation from Ryan. We spoke with Sales Manger Kent Wheeler to express our disappointment and how we feel we were taken advantage of in this situation and how badly this makes not only them but the company look by not being upfront with the all the details and misleading us about the current deal. We spoke with Ryan a few times regarding the situation. We asked for a copy of any and all paper work we signed and was told that they can not scan it to email it to us and that we would have to come down for the paperwork. When speaking with Ryan about the situation we went around in circle about what had happened. I also got Ryan to tell me that maybe in the mix of his excitement for the deal he did not explain to us clearly about the situation and took blame for that. He then proceeded to tell us that he was being talked to by his mangers about the situation and what he should have done differently. At the end of the day we still feel completely used and heartbroken over the experience with Camping World in Mesa, AZ and how they do business. We can only imagine how many other people have been taken advantage of at the company. Being up front and honest and having good work ethics will go along way!!! We will not be doing business with them as we are completely devastated over the situation. We have requested an apology from the Corporate Office and for them to recall the credit pull as we were given misleading information and would have NEVER authorized for them to pull credit if we would have know the full information that was withheld from us.

Recentley I purchased an RV from campingworlf, paid for it, when almost finish signig paperwork saw the brouchure fot extended warranty, I ask the lady how do that work, her words were this"I very imprtaant that you purchase the extended warranty, if anything goes wrong with any appliance or awning , we will replace them" I ask again " they will repace the appliances if any time stop working or the wind damage it?" She answer " certainly!" Well refrigerator stop workig, totally, damage all the food, I just gotten out of hospital, my husband was ar the hospital, welli called Good Sam Insurace (i have it) afer being tranfer here and there so many times, they said , to go back to Camping World and they shuld be the pnes taking care of it. Well guess what, I got myself to camping World, weak as I was, as I walk into the store they direct me to JENNIFER MC GOUIRK( service advisor) firist her demmina was unacceptablek rude, terrible perso to be behind the desk as SERVICE ADVISOR, afer myself finosh speaking about my problem, with an awful grin on her face just to get me out of there this is what she said " Man , I will speack with my manager, and i assure we will place a new fridge, you are very lucky you have this exyended warranty, I will give you a call whithin an hour or two not longer, go home relax and emty the refrigerator, and i promise we will call you. It was around two pm ,she even gave me two of her bussines cards. Well guess what.... 8pm came aroun and not a call, so I call her number in bissness card, she answer, and said , oouuh I did not speack to my manager, so I said , Did you supposed to call me within 2 hours after I left, to emty my fridge, with an answer? She reply, Ooouu we will call yoi early in morning and assure you, we will get everythig taken care of, I said Great! I will expect your call tomorrou Miss. JENNIFER MCGUIRK thank you. Well once again was what said and PROMISED never came around . NOW IF YOU PROMISE THE CUSTOMER SOMTHING, SHUD THAT PROMISE BE KEPT? AS KNOING THE CAR Bussines, if something is promised, it should be deliverd, If not The GENERAL MANSGER should have a long conversation whith the person that promised what can Never be deliveref. So, if a person has poor spelling or grammar there's no credence? You understood the complaint fully and I am sure Camping World did too. A lack of education (if true) should not mean a business gets to treat them unfairly.

Camping World in Salt Lake City, Utah - Didn't do what they promised

I recently purchased a 2009 Winnebago View from Camping World in Salt Lake City. It was $70,000, and although used, for that amount of money I expected to get a completely functional unit. At the time I was promised all systems would be checked to be sure they functioned properly. On my first outing it became obvious something significant was wrong. The water system leaked every time it was used. Took it back and they went through it, supposedly. Found nothing and told me nothing was wrong with it. Took it out again. Same problem. Eventually they found the water heater was cracked. They offered to split the cost with me. I reminded them this was a delivery issue and I was promised all systems were checked and worked properly. Obviously that was a lie. Finally they agreed to absorb the cost, but only after I fought with them over it. The awning wouldn't work properly. Found a part was broken. Promised to replace it. They didn't. The check engine light was on. They refused to even check it. Said that was not something they did. I would need to go to a Mercedes dealer. That's probably going to cost me a few thousand. Now I wonder what else they didn't do. I'm afraid I've bought a lemon that I'll have to live with for a long time and bottom line is, Camping World doesn't care.

Camping world in richmond indiana has the worst customer service that ive ever had to deal with. I bought a new 2015 prime time avenger from tomrapers before camping world bought them out . Called camping world of richmond indiana at least 30 times trying to get some warranty problems fixed and nothing, most of the time you get a machine with no call back . Started calling and went in the store in person 3 months before my warranty was up and got no where . They said they would take care of me and my warranty ran out so now they wont do anything. you cant use a warranty if they wont respond back. The manufacturers throw these new campers together with the cheapest materials they can find. I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy from camping world. Trying to get my $1800 extended warranty money back with no luck. When im ready to buy a new camper down the road it will not be from camping world !!!

Las Vegas nevada. Dropped my Colman travel trailer for warranty and insurance work on 8-10. Insurance submitted a check. Still no work started on 8-26. I call everyday, no one answers or returns calls. I think I'll go get it and go somewhere else. Lousy, unconcerned business.

Camping World in Seekonk, Massachusetts - Bad service in Berkley

I will never go the that store again. People are all smiles but no brains. I had my RV scheduled for an appointment and it was not even looked at for a week and then was told it was only the batteries. I gave it a second chance and needed a new toilet seat. Stood there for 15 minutes and then was told a toilet specialist would help me. Please a toilet specialists. HAHA Bad Bad place. Was not told until the 3 time I took my RV there for the dash air that other than charging that can not help me. I picked up my RV and was told they checked the antifreeze. It was dry. Such non professionals

Camping World - 2004 Coachmen Rv Review from Ardmore, Oklahoma

Bought a motorhome 2004Coachman 31 ft. The only good thing i can say about it it that the motor is solid. Soft spot in floor, major fix. The slide out quit working had it fixed ,i thought will be going back at their expence. I have come to the conclusion that it was never inspected before my purchase. Have done a ton of work on it an still have a ton to do. Bought in Stradford, Mo. Never buy one on a cloudy day.

Camping World or "Camping Worst" El Paso Texas - BAD BAD BAD Location

I bought a new 2016 unit a this year May 2015 from "Camping Worst" in El Paso, Texas. Just like buying a used car from a cheesy used car sales man. Everything promised to get the sale and all promises broken once they got paid from the bank. I kid you not, I spoke to Sales Manager Jimmy Hernandez, and those were his words exactly. He said "... deal is done because we got paid from the bank and it's no longer our problem." What a joke, all over a $400 satellite!!! Service department is a true circus because it takes them months to get you parts and to fix your unit. Better yet, once it's done the repairs could have been done better by a 5 year old. The unit needed repairs in the interior molding and they used a staple gun to repair and it looks TERRIBLE. I took unit in for a number of repairs needed on my NEW 2016 unit but only got half of the repairs done at best. They don't seem to grasp the idea of "service" and have a complete disconnect with their communication. There's absolutely no accountability at this location and it's sad because if the public knew how they operate, I'm sure they wouldn't buy from this location. To sum it up for you, this location is absolute CHAOS. Word to the wise... "STAY AWAY"!!!!!! Drive 4 hours to Camping World Albuquerque and you will truly experience greatness and avoid all the headaches from "Camping Worst" El Paso, Texas.

Bought in NH. Used, paid for winterizing not realizing until this spring black tank was left full. Engine problems not revealed even though we asked and brand new mattress former owner put in camper was taken out by dealership. Will never recommend or shop any camping world again.
