Camping World in Fairhaven, Massachusetts - DO NOT TRUST

I just purchased a new $130,000. RV from these people and would like to warn anyone thinking of doing the same to go someplace else! Bad Bad Bad experience. If that place doesn't change management soon you will most likely be reading about something bad happening there. Would give more detail but still relying on them to fix problems. Not to confident they will. Wish I had gone anyplace other than there. If you hang around there one afternoon you will most likely see at least one very angry customer and maybe more. Why can't people be honest? I just don't understand how they plan to stay in business with the way they operate.

Do NOT go there!!! Awful customer service!! Waste of time! We left our camper there to get serviced with warranty and it has been months and still have not heard from them after leaving a voicemail few times a week! I will never go there again and I don't not recommend anyone to either!! Bad company! I do not like this company and would not trust them! Brought camper there mid July and I understand it may be a busy time. Not asking for much, but wanting to know when it will be done after the warranty approved 6 hours of work. No reason to not tell me how long it will be! It has been TWO MONTHS!! Get it together camper world!

Be ready to be lied to and lied to and lied to and lied to and lied to and lied to. Good Luck getting your camper back in one piece.

The people that work there steal everything they can from customers campers. Bad Company and they should be closed.

Camping World - Review in Dealers category from Anderson, South Carolina

Seemed like a small number of the company flyers were making it to my mail box for a while then about 30 arrive in one day.... All with my proper address... Just down from the US Hwy 70 store in Garner. Ladies were nice at front desk and said they would get to bottom of issue. Not really their issue but... So two weeks later I have more than 50 flyers in my box...,all my address not my name in the single family house.... Figure best to lodge a complaint as I look for director of mark stings name and email....Good Sam said not their issue. Help!!!

Camping World - Fifth Wheel Rv Review from Penelope, Texas

First off let me by saying that we bought a fifth wheel from camping world in Katy Texas. We did not even have it to me and the hydraulic hoses busted on it so we called the roadside assistance when the roadside assistance called us back they told us that it was going to hundred dollars upfront and 150 per hour for them to fix the hostess and put the hydraulic all back in, this showing the *** was not going to happen I got on the phone with my salesman he talk to someone in the office and told them that we need to either pay them or fix it I'll self. Needless to say that really set fire under my butt the next thing that happened was my fireplace went out the slides would not close correctly all the rubber seals have come off my slides still don't open or closed all the way and Now I get water leaking through the outside through the inside of the sides in my Kitchen, living area, now needless to say this was all under factory warranty the sink pipes busted and ruined the carpet, so we had to replace the floor and carpet just to make sure that there wouldn't have any mold or mildew in the camper. Then the hot water heater will not work on electricity any more to a short in the system. This will be the 3rd time that we will have to put another microwave in it, we'll had nothing but problems with this unit and can't get anyone to fix it, not even with THE GOOD SAMS warranty that we purchased for over $5,000 dollars. So today I'll be making another email to the main management of camper world, if I do not get an answer back tomorrow. Needless to say I can list more then this, but I'll my lawyer take care them on and it will not be fun for them, cause I'm ready to drag their so called good name through the MUD. PS I WANT THE CEO Marcus Lomonis OF CAMPING WORLD TO CONTACT ME PERSONALLY

Camping World in Raleigh, North Carolina - HORRIBLE SERVICE in Garner location

I own an RV service and repair company. Every time I have had to deal with Camping World to get a part for an RV or camper, they have been extremely unprofessional and lacking in their knowledge of parts. One time; I waited for several hours for assistance at the parts counter only to be told by an employee, I needed to go to the "service counter"...when I told the employee needed a "part" not "service" I was asked if I was sure? I've been in this business for over 25 years, I think I know when I need a "part" and when I need "service." I called this morning to see if a part I ordered came in. I was told they would check and call me right back...that was over 6 hours ago. I just called again and hung up after being transferred 3 times to 3 different people who could not help me. I wish there were another RV parts store in the area so I would not have to deal with Camping World; they are the worst run business I have ever dealt with.

Camping World in Ocala, Florida - Shoddy workmanship

Took my travel trailer in for extended warranty repair on refrigerator to Camping World Super Center in Ocala (Summerfield) Fl. Turns out rodents(squirrels) has damaged fridge and had to have whole unit replaced. Instead of using Good Sam extended warranty, wound up using my USAA insurance as they covered rodent damage on my policy. I did not mind that it took three weeks to get the job done, what upset me is they put a fridge in with the doors opening in the opposite direction of the original which now makes it very awkward to get into fridge. On top of that, prepping the trailer for a road trip, noticed that back room outlets not working. I took it to an RV repair place 5 minutes from my house, Camping World is an hour drive for me, and they found that when they hooked up the fridge electrical, they ran a screw through the wires that shorted out the outlets in the back room. Accidents happen, I understand that, but to put the fridge in with the doors backwards and then not do a check to make sure all electric was working before turning it back over to me is totally unsatisfactory. Almost $400.00 later at the RV repair center and they finally were able to fix it after having to cut through the new roof vent to access the damaged area. I know I should have taken it back to Camping World but I was to disgusted to go back. I will also pay the RV repair center by me to get a universal kit to switch the doors on the fridge around.

Camping World in Santa Maria, California - RV Purchase

Purchased our first RV (used) from Roseville CA. One thing they don't do is a pre-purchase walk-thru with the customer. The salesman said they would find everything wrong and fix it. They had two weeks to fix everything. During the post-purchase walk-thru, we found many items still not fixed or working. The Service Dept folks were fabulous! We were there from 10am to after 6pm. Salesman recommended generators - said would run a/c and appliances. They don't! We tried the a/c and one appliance and the generators kept kicking off. CW won't answer our e-mail or return call. Needless to say, we will reconsider the dealership for our next purchase.

I had trouble with the "What I Dislike" section. Every time I put something there, it went red and wouldn't accept anything.

Is this your way of beefing up the stats?! So what we disliked:

1. Salesman recommended generators that don't work as he described.

2.

No pre-purchase item-by-item walk thru.

3. Several items still not fixed or working when we did post-purchase walk thru.

4.

Camping World won't return our call or e-mail regarding generators.

I ordered a set of air bags for my class c motor home thru Camping World of Tucson az ( I live about 50 miles away ). made appt. for 9/9/15 at 8 am. after arriving and been sent to 3 different people finally got signed in.. they didnt take motor home in until 9 am. about 9:30 was told that the u bolts werent long enough, did I mind if they had longer ones made, said ok. said they would call in a few hours. After No call went back at 1 pm, was told that they ordered the wrong air bags, could I leave motor home till next day. At 4:45 called camping world to see what was going on, was told that they found some in town and were having them shipped....( who ships in the same town )..Next day and No phone call to say yes they got them or no they didnt. still waiting to hear something ( 1:30 ). WILL NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMENED THIS STORE TO ANY ONE

I have had the same problem with the service center in Fife Wa. Miss ordered parts and sizes.

Work not completed on time.

And when job was complete found not everything was working correctly! NEVER again will I go back or recommend any Camping World for Service.

I ordered a cover for my camper. It arrived no problem except due to an error in Camping World's online software I received 2 covers instead. No problem, I refused one and back it went. So now almost 5 weeks have passed and I'm STILL WAITING on a refund. I have been told in 4 different conversations that the supplier is still waiting on confirmation of the items' return. Come on, seriously, make the customer happy and credit my money back and then Camping World can settle it out with the supplier. (BTW- the music when on hold could make someone psycho.)
