Camping world service stinks

1st service manager is rude. 2nd the trailer we bought is falling apart & took it back last Nov. to have it take care of but no. We are still having same problems & was told it is are fault that it is falling apart. Bought the trailer in Nov. 2013. The seat at the table the back separates from the seat. The cupboard above the couch the door does line up. The skylights all leak not just a little leak enough to damage the trim on the kitchen slide. Camping world was suppose to check all that out last year & let us know of any problems.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Purchased a brand new Crossroads Camper from the Syracuse location. It got damaged in their parking lot prior to delivery, they were supposed to fix it, they delivered it to my site 3 months ago and still not fixed. Said wrong parts got ordered multiple times. Emailed me the parts were in and gave me the list, not even the parts for my Camper. Now telling me it won't be fixed until Spring and they want to bring my camper back to their store to fix it...it's set up permanently with a deck around it, they are the ones who delivered it. No one even bothers to call you back. Was told the GM would call me on Friday and not a word from them. Stay away!!!!

Camping World in Marshalltown, Iowa - Your store

My wife and I were in you store last week. We could not find anyone to help us because it seemed like they were to busy on there phones, things on the selves were not in the proper place and lead us to believe they were cheaper than they were until we got to the counter to check out when we pointed this out to the cashier she and another girl just said that`s the way it is and we would have to just pay the right price. It may sound like small stuff to you but I will never come back to your store and I will tell all my friends to go some where else. I want nothing to do with your stores and any of your on line items.

Camping World - Ex employee Upstate NY location

I have read many of the complaints and as a ex employee of camping world in service I can tell you its not always the employee's fault, the work load from about april until september is way to much, at times I had 100 plus customers I was working with, I could book appointments for the shop a week or 2 ahead of time and when the customers came in and dropped the campers off they may not get into the shop for a week or 2, the shop work is controlled by shop dispatchers and has nothing to do with the front counter advisor that checked you in but the front counter advisor is the person that get beat up all day long for things totally out of their control, next after the camper finally gets into the shop and its discovered a part is needed it on average takes another 7 to 10 day to get the needed part, again the front counter person gets beat up because parts are not available, the front counter advisor position sucks, next time maybe give the front counter person a break before you rip off their face for things out of their control, last did I mention most of the service tech's have very little to no training to work on your campers, very true when camping season starts every spring camping world will hire anyone to work on your camper. Another dirty little secret is when they sell you the maintenance services on your furnace, generator, refrigerator, roof ect most of the tech's have no clue what they are doing and do not perform the service as it should be done and actually joke about screwing the customers, there is a big disconnect between the camping world retail store and the repair shop, shop tech's hate most of the services sold in the retail store and don't complete them as they should. Another dirty little secret is that paying service customers get pushed aside no matter how long they have been scheduled or waiting to get into service as soon as the sales department sells units, I have heard it right from the general managers of the dealership, I don't care about service customers my sales unit go to the front of the line. My advise if you want to buy or service a camper stay away from the chain mega stores, try dealing with a place that has a owner you can actually speak with if you have a problem.......good luck

I am a disabled veteran who was led to believe that the motorhome that I purchased had been checked over and was in good condition. Paid close to 50K at Hanover, Pa Found all 6 tires to be dry rotted Ceiling leaked like a sieve dining room slide worked once and then broke bedroom ac works for 15 min then blows hot air main holding tank pump loose tank leaks all over the carpets coach batterys do not hold a charge replaced them Contacted CW they respond by phone and say they will get back to me a Ron Baker many excuses as other stores are problems too but he said he is working on my situation. These guys operate like this all over the country

Having the same problem with Camping world of Chattanooga, Tn.

Bought a 2016 MH from them that was a piece of ***. Also purchased Service Contract, Sold the Motor home and do not need the Service contract, Have been trying to cancel the contract for over a month and so far no satisfaction.

Keep getting the runaround from Eric the Business Manager. Their excuse is that they are a big outfit and it takes time to get things accomplished. Perhaps they all need to be replaced by a company that knows how to take care of a customer.

My advice to any campers traveling thru Chattanooga, Tn.

is to Stay away from Camping world. Their Southern Hospitality Really SUCKS.

Camping World - 2009 Forest River Flagstaff Rv Review from Citrus Heights, California

We bought a 2009 flagstaff Forest River in little rock Arkansas. They were supposed to give as a new awning and a new spare tire when we bought it. They put tape on the awning and said that we agreed that it was OK and we ended up having to buy a new one. then the new one they said if we pay $300 which was half of it they would pay the rest The next day we got a paper in the mail from them saying that all new awnings are $300 When we confronted them about it they said they would take care of it but they didn't Now we have a problem with the tire and went to put the spare on and it has *** the size of two quarters where you can see the wires inside the tread We took it to Camping World Warranty in California to be vacuumed and they put it in the back of the shop didn't allow was back there in May to sign paperwork saying that it was done satisfactorily before they would bring it out It wasn't vacuumed there were still stickers and dirt all over the carpet We will never use camping world again and we would advise anyone else to buy somewhere else unless they want to get screwed We will be getting an attorney and calling the attorney general when we get home Noel and Gabriella Anderson, Morrilton, AR

Myrtle Beach has 2 Camping World Locations and they both are horrible

My husband and I purchased a $39,000 2016 Sunset Trail Reserve. This was our bucket list, our dream. He is 65 I am 60. We picked it up on March 30th, CW was sweet, they took the obligatory pictures with us in front of the camper. We towed it 2 miles to our storage facility. We made plans to use it the following week. We received our first recall in the mail, the slider was missing a part. Scheduled an appointment, cancelled our trip, and brought it in. From this point everything snowballed, the awning lights did not work, they ordered a new set, they were broken, we waited, the sensor broke for the lights, we waited. We decided that we would have a second air conditioner installed for over $1,000. My husband had emergency heart surgery and CW was kind enough to return it to our storage facility. When he and I went to check on it, weren't we surprised when we saw part of the a/c on the bed (it was being installed in the bedroom), a boatload of tools, muddy boot prints on my new white quilt, and garbage between the converter box and the a/c. No quality assurance there, they picked it up, barely an apology, offered to have someone's wife wash my quilt, hmm....no thank you. Out on our maiden voyage with 2 grandkids, middle of July South Carolina heat. Lights were dimming all day, and the unit was not cooling. We thought maybe because the kids were in and out. Nope, 1:00 am. total blackout, no electric, no air. Left it at the campground, took 2 cranky kids home and went back in the morning to pick it up. Oh, the converter is shot? Okay, let's fix it.... this is a freakin new camper !!. Well of course the part didn't come in for maybe 3 or 4 weeks (I have way of knowing anything because CW does not give you paperwork even when you ask for it), and unfortunately I am a little naive and didn't think to document everything. Another recall, we can't use the stove, imagine that? haha Joke is on us. Now there is a moldy smell in there, and this happened ever since they screwed up the a/c. When I say moldy, it clings to everything in there. I picked up a hand mixer and medication that we left in the drawer the odor is on the mixer, in the medication, in the bedding (it doesn't wash out), in the food, and in my husband's oxygen concentrator and his Cpap machine This is some serious stuff. They told us to hang those bags up that take moisture out of the air. Now we are a joke to them. They literally laugh in our faces and are extemely rude. When you spend that kind of money (and it is financed) you expect excellence and no isssues. Buyer Beware stay away from Camping World . Camping World - Thetford Toilet Review from Amherst Junction, Wisconsin

Watch you bills people. We bought a thetford toliet ($230) and 2 months later it broke. We went in for repair parts and they had to order everything and said 10 day wait. I have gotten the run around from the service dept. One guy says the parts are in one guys says they'll be in tomorrow and then the same guy says they can tell me when they be in. Fast forward 3 weeks and still no parts. NOW as I am looking at the invoice I see that they charged me for seals that were in another kit I ordered AND charged me for an installation fee and Supply fee. They did no installation - our camper is in a fixed location. So the tacked on charges added another $136.20 to the invoice. I can say i will never be back.

Camping World in Boise, Idaho - Lame, disorganized, lack of follow-up, poor services

I don't' know how this company survives in our local area.. They are always so disorganized when we go there, seldom call you back, can't order anything right and everything is delayed. There is no way that a company like this should get away with the lack of service they provide. I love the trailer I purchased but I would never buy from them again based off the follow-up.. Even the day I picked my trailer up from them (brand new) it was a disorganized mess and took me hours to get people to help and I had to walk around and ask for help. Their service department is also lacking in followup and organization.

I'm still in the process of warranty repair from my walk through punch list so I won't leave my name. I will agree totally with your assessment of the Meridian camping world.

It seems like nobody knows what they're doing and its always someone else's fault.

All I can say is I should have gone to Brett,s RV.
