Camping World in Pinson, Alabama - Disappointed

We traveled for 4 hours to Olive Branch, MS to trade our camper for a 2015 Cougar that they advertised for $27,995. We had spoke to the saleperson there and was understanding that everything was ready to be signed. After looking at camper and found a few things wrong, they promised to fix them before we left. So, we went to sign the papers but realized that the #'s did not match what we understood would be our price. After getting them to itemize the credits and charges, we found that we were charged 999.00 for a walk through (we were not told in advance), and they said they gave us a $500 discount for retired military. We could not find on contract this discount. We told them that we would go ahead and take camper if they would remove the 999.00, but they would not, so we left.But after reading some of these complaints, I believe we lucked out.

Camping World - Bad Roof/seals/cargo doors.

Bottom LINE DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. Spread the word. They do stand behind what they sale. We purchased a new 2015 Keystone from Camping World Olive Branch, MS. The roof was lose in several spots, set up to get it fixed in July dropped it off, called several times and noting sent email not a word for 2 weeks then was told it would be ready Sept. so me and my wife drive 3.5 hours (294 miles). Tell service dept. we're to pick up fifth wheel they pull it under the cover area, me standing in the service area looking thur the tinted glass can see it isn't fixed. The wrinkles in the rear are bigger and can be seen from the ground now. The gal behind the counter runs for cover when I turn and state "IT ISN"T FIXED" the service manager comes out to try and handle it. But as I told him you didn't fix it. Leave it for another 8 weeks (was suppose to be a week) and they called and said it was ready. service manager "i had it wash for you and cleaned on the in side as well." ME " is everything fixed" Service manger "yes I checked" I arrived on a Saturday morning They pulled it around me and the service manger standing out side as it comes up ME " it hasn't been wash or it was washed by some blind monkeys that can't see". Service manger "they mite have missed some area." Looking at the top it was still lose, the cargo bay doors were not fixed, the steps had recall on them and the blots were lose, the seal in the bathroom was suppose to replaced it was fixed either. Bottom LINE DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. Spread the word. They do stand behind what they sale and need to close the doors. We've talked to several people who having the same stores with them.

We've had the same issues!!! We bought a 2015 keystone Springdale.

shower leak, air conditioner not working, awning leak etc. finally got

Thinks fixed - took about 8 weeks. Now we have a roof leak and the blower on the fire place heater is broken on our 6 month old camper and service department says not under warranty! Service department is awful!!!

Do not buy from these people! The roof leaked is probably from when they wrecked our camper when they had it in for air conditioner repair!

Another story! Beware

I BOUGHT 2014 THOR HURRICANE MOTORHOME IN JANUARY OF 2015 AND I HAVE USED IT A TOTAL OF 8 TIMES SINCE THEN. IT IS NOW IN THE SHOP HAVING REPAIRS DONE AND HAVE TRIED TO GET ANSWERS AS TO ANYTHING BEING DONE ON IT. THE SERVICE MANAGER DIDN'T KNOW AND WOULD HAVE TO CHECK AND CALL ME. THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU AND IT APPEARS THAT NOTHING BEEN DONE ON IT AND IT HAS BEEN THERE GOING 4 WEEKS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS TERRIBLE AND ALSO THE MANAGER DOESN'T WANT TO HELP YOU. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANOTHER MOTORHOME FROM THERE OR GETTING ANY SERVICE WORK DONE . SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE SERVICE. THIS IS GOING ON EVERYWHERE.

This is the worst dealer in the world if you are Spanish some of the people there talk to you with racism. But the worst department is the service department they always have a lie for you. I left my RV and they told me that they need 4 weeks to finish it, I wait those 4 weeks with out complain but after that they told me that I had to wait 4 more weeks because all parts get there wrong and broken that is the manufactured. So I had to wait again a lot of time and this is the third month that I'm without the trailer. They told me on November 6 after 3 month that it will finish today November 14, 2015 and they call me in the morning that the trailer is not finish because the parts get broken again. They are the worst people in the word

Camping World, St. Augustine Fl Very Professional!

We purchased a 2014 24' Keystone Bullet that was in perfect condition, so the quality was very good. On our maiden voyage, we sprung leaks in the water lines, holding tank gauges quit working and one of the inside cabinets collapsed. Once home, we took the unit back to Camping World to determine the repairs and costs. There was some question as to who was responsible for the repairs since we did not purchase an extended service contract. It was determined that the difficulty was in the placement on the hitch and the weight distribution bars which had caused the unit to bounce up and down, and so all the repair problems. Ken Stumpe, the General Manager was very cooperative and took care of all the repairs without any cost to us. We did think it prudent though to purchase a 3-years service contract for any problems we might incur later on. Lou Astuto, the salesman who sold us the unit was extremely helpful and made sure our problems were addressed...we are extremely pleased...

Camping World - Ignored and Lied to in Myrtle Beach

I bought a new 5th Wheel at Hwy 544 location in Myrtle Beach SC. I had a permanent site for it behind my shop and didn't have a truck yet, so had it delivered. The ground was a little soggy from heavy rain when delivered, so they couldn't get it exactly where I wanted it. They said they will come back out when the ground dried up some. That was fine and understandable. A few weeks later or so, I was opening my shop and they showed up unanounced and wanted to move it into place. I was in the process of opening my shop and was caught of guard, but allowed them to do it. I was going back and forth between the rv and shop, since I had a register full of money and the breaker panel was never turned off or the power cord disconnected from the rv. As they were moving it the power cord was pulled taunt at one point. That must have caused a surge since the 12volt c onverter, fridge control and microwave control got fried. I felt as though they should pay for it since they showed up unanounced and I wasn't given time to prepare the unit to be moved. I should have said no, but like I said, I was caught off guard and was more concerned witht the shop being unattended. The worst thing is I called and emailed several times and never got a call back. I had to drive 45 min to the Camping World Service Center to get anything done. They finally came and got the camper, then 3 weeks went by and I never heard anything. Their phones always go to voice mail and I had to go there again just to get someone to talk too. They told me it was ready and would be delivered the next day. The next day came around and no Camper and No phone call. Had to go their again and ws told it was ready and would be delivered the next day by the service manager. I asked to see the unit, since now i was wondering if they were avaiding me because they damaged it or something. I didn't know what to think. He said sure and they hooked it up and opened it. There was no power in the unit. It sat there for over 3 weeks and had never even been touched by a service tech. He said he would run it through the warranty process. So after 2-3 months, when it was all said and done. I was lied to, ignored and made to feel like I didn't matter now that they had my money. The waranty would not pay for the repairs and neither would Camping World. But the Manager for the Store summed it up best after I complained about how long it took just to tell me they wouldn't pay, when he said, "We have Units that have been here for seven months". And said it as though that was acceptable. What a joke of a company they are from top to bottom. The CEO of Camping World has a television show about saving failing companies and this is happening in the one he is running. He obviously only cares about sales, but the shakey foundation this company is built on will eventually crumble. Repeat customers matter and you lost one for life.

You have lost me as a costomer for life. This was the single worst experience with any company I've ever had. I suggest you build a better post-buyer customer experience.

Camping World in Santa Barbara, California - After 7 weeks it was worst than when it was brought in

What happened to Proud to Be An American and the quality we produce. Slides had stripped screw in plates and plates were replaced and screws were not counter sunk. This leaves heads of screws to affect weather stripping and leaks. Was called and told it was ready I traveled 1 and 1/2 to get there and nothing was done right. door missing in bedroom we found in someones office. parts still in parts department. Exterior was power washed and full of water hope it will work. Main slide is worked and they can't fix they said they could. I found if you don't buy from the dealer you are a 2nd rate owner and put on hold 7 weeks and nothing was fixed one more time 7 weeks. I have owned coach for 9 months its been in for service 2 different dealers for a total of 13 weeks. !/3 of the time I have owned it. If you read this think before you leap. This is no bull ***

It doesn't matter if you did buy from CW, you are treaTed the same by their service fepartments. Had bad experiences with CW in Garner, NC, Fayetteville, NC and Oakwood , GA.

Will never set foot on a CW property again in life.

Poor, overpriced service at camping World Hendersonville NC

Does Marcus Lemonis read any of these? Had an awful experience, I am new at rving, took my vintage trailer in for a LP test and to have two marker lights replaced. 229.00 later, I was told I had a leaky manifold on the stove and they could not fix it. Did not test the furnace or the hot water heater. Recommended changing all ten marker lights for another 200 clams. Bought the lights at auto zone and fixed myself. Friendly folks, but the separation between the store and the service dept is problematic and inefficient. Will not go back to camping world except in a big time emergency. My humble advice is to find another service shop, hopefully more thorough and that believes in decent customer service. Marcus, you need to make some changes.

Great service at Madison Wisconsin Camping World

2 - 3 years ago we stopped at the Camping World in Madison, Wisconsin to buy a replacement mattress for the used RV we had just purchased. We are older people and not able to handle much that is heavy or bulky. The mattress that we purchased was in a large box, heavy, and not easy to handle.  Not only did a salesperson carry our new mattress out to our RV for us, but he removed our old mattress, put the new mattress in place, and allowed us to leave our old mattress for disposal. We have been enjoying that mattress ever since.  I consider this to be great service.  We would stop at that location anytime we needed something and happened to be driving in that direction.

I'm not sure where to start I am so frustrated! I guess I will tell you that I am new at RVing and have an older class A. but i am not slow at customer service. Columbus S.C Camping World has no clue how to do treat customers, they lie through their teeth. They have promise me to fix my leveler for six month. First of all they have ordered the wrong part x 2, causing me to have travel there each time and they still haven't got it right! I STILL HAVE TO GO BACK AGAIN HOPING THIS TIME THEY GET IT RIGHT! i can not spend another 4 hours in that place!!!! i wiil never send teel anyone to go there for severvice. if i know how i would open one up here there is all kinds of opportunity and only 1 RV support here there is money to be made.
