Gulf Breeze FL Camping World(*** POOR PERFORMANCE)

After reading all these comments, My experience is not a whole lot different Camping World Gulf Breeze Fl has really stuck it to me not only with them being 60 miles from the house they have had my coach for 6 out of the last 12 months, on different times not all at once. I am still trying to get issues fixed. I was going to trade in my current 2015 motorhome (gas) for a diesel, everything was approved thru my credit union and I went to pick up my new diesel pusher with a over 100K check in hand as we were going thru the closing process it reflected a 40K difference which the salesperson forgot to add, they said I could write a check for the difference. Needless to say I walked away and have sworn never to do business with Camping World again. There 3 "P" stand for "*** POOR PERFORMANCE".

Camping World - Do NOT trust reviews on their website

I purchased a ladder from Camping World. During use, the item broke and I was injured. I wrote a negative review for the item. At that time there was also another negative review because the ladder broke for another consumer. Although they did send my concern to the ladder manufacturer, they refused to post my review. They also deleted the other negative review already posted. We can't trust them to look out for their consumers. We should be able to count on other consumer's reviews to be accurate.

Worst experience every!! 3 months to get tag for camper. Water heater did not work on new camper. They have had it over a month. Ready to sell camper they are so bad to deal with. I would rather sleep on the ground than deal with them!!!

NEVER AGAIN will I visit Camping World in Lakewood NJ. Took my Winnebago 23' VIEW & 2014 Honda CRV to have them mated for dinghy towing. Appointment 4 weeks later (they were busy). Brought RV & car 1 day early & went to pick up 1 day after it was supposed to be done. Not ready and NO PHONE call even though they knew I had a 60 mile ride! Paid my $4000+ and was taken out to the lot where mechanic was hooking things up. IF I HADN'T ASKED QUESTIONS, THERE WAS NO PLAN TO SHOW ME HOW TO DRIVE THE THING. Slowly took off down the road - CAR BRAKES LOCKED UP first 4 uses! VERY SCARY SITUATION - & A COP WHO CAME BY told me to take it back to dealer and to stay off the road until it was fixed. I found out that Camping World HAD NOT ROAD TESTED THE SETUP!!! And the mechanic said "we never do that". Can you believe that? Furthermore the dinghy brake system was NOT ADJUSTED/SETUP properly & AND IT WAS THE WRONG ONE (I needed & wanted a proportional system more compatible with my car and a lot more forgiving on the road). Also, looking at the bill, I realized they did not use the existing wiring harness on the RV and charged me an add'l $300+ to install a parallel cable run (the original worked fine as the RV had been towing a car when I bought it). They never said a word about the add'l work/charge. The install/mechanic shop people COULD NOT HELP ME as they said they do & install what the sales person tells them. It turns out the saleman who designed the setup & sold me the bill of goods was new (maybe 4 months on the job), had never worked in RV sales (I think he used to work at best buy selling electronics - found this out after doing some backgrtound check) and INSISTED everything was ok. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT! I literally had to stand in middle of the showroom floor loudly demanding he take the braking system back - which he did as customers were gathering around us. I got the equipment cost back for the portable brake system on my AMEX card but no labor costs. I settled for that (even though I should have gotten labor money too) and left, vowing never to shop at Camping World again. As I left, I noticed the owner's poster's (Marcus Lemonis, "The Profit") around the place saying that he be contacted if things weren't to my liking. I should have done that after all but didn't. Too pissed off...

Went in for service to my 2000 Sunline trailer. They charged me 1 hour labor for a repair estimate on a broken drain pipe. 129.00. All I wanted to know if they could fix it cheaply. There is no way this took more than 2 min. They charged 1/2 hour labor (64.50) for checking wheel bearings. I had a 22point inspection free. I expect to pay for work done, reasonably charged. Last year, they were fair. This year, I got shafted. Last time I do service at Syracuse Camping World. There is no way they can justify these charges. What I am surprised at is that they don't even care about keeping a good reputation and being considered a reasonable place to do business with. They stuck to their guns. I basically had a breakaway switch wire and a NYS inspection (6.00) done for $250. If I had known they were going to overcharge by so much, I never would have gone there. My advice: find someplace else to do service.

It is your own fault for paying more then you believe you should have. You did by a "used" camper.

Used and As-is is the key. If the dealer fixed the brake issue prior to you leaving, or even as soon as you realized it, that sounds like good customer service to me. If you want new, buy new. The only thing in your post which may or may not be relevant is the hub cap.

It may have been placed on improperly, but how do you know? Certainly you did not inspect it to see that it was improperly put on, or you have had the rectify the situation. So another possibility is that the hub cap may have come off due to your own driving or other uncontrollable items on the roadway.

I think if you get anything after leaving on that issue would be better then nothing. If you are truly unhappy with the salesman, or the deal, or the price; then look at your poor decisions in the future and realize you are responsible for the choices "you" made throughout the process.

Camping World in Lead Hill, Arkansas - Lies and Runaround

In 2013 I bought a low mileage 2005 Dutchmen from Camping World of North Little Rock. I also purchased an extended warranty. In August 2015 a hydraulic jack malfunctions and the cabin door latch breaks. It is a 3 hour drive to NLR so in October I take it in for the repairs. It is now Jan. 2016 and they still have not fixed it. 17 phone calls to them, of which only 3 were not sent to voice-mail, and no return call. The 3 times they answered it was one excuse after another. I emailed them many times but never received a response. Drove to NLR yesterday and the RV is still not ready. One salesman tried to get me to trade it for a new one, then the manger said he did not want a trade in on the new camper. I have never spent that much money and been treated so bad. I can only surmise that they won't return phone calls or email so they can hide evidence of their deceptive business practices. This company needs to be sued out of existence before they can swindle another customer.

Advertised a white Screen door cross bar handle for $11.75 but billed me full price at $12.99 on my email invoice! Also the tax on invoice was incorrectly calculated for LA County. Should be 9% of purchases. They are charging more. Most likely collecting tax on shipping charges with poor software or deliberately higher. This is against the law! The only reason they continue to exist, is because RV'ers don't have too many other choices for supplies. They use antiquated software, their stores are dead inside, they push Good Sam membership down your throat in store and bombard you with mail and email when it provides no service whatsoever. I can get a discount on supplies with Good Sam for a $25 membership, but I can also buy the same item on Amazon with no membership, cheaper. When your bill is wrong, that is patently illegal and inexcusable. This discredits them completely. I cannot trust any billing from them, and will never, ever give them my credit card info again. The amount charged incorrectly is very small, but it is wrong.

Then buy it on amazon instead. Amazon has better deals than most stores you go to so your point is??? A business cannot just give things away at cost.

Have had nothing with my brand new 2015 heritage glenn. They have never fixed any of the broken items on my trailer that I have brought it in for and don't really seem to care about fixing them or making me happy so I will never ever buy anything from there again!!The main slide leaked the toilet leaked all on the first outing went and bought the valve for toilet was told I would get my money back but have not yet my outdoor speakers also have not worked majority of the time plus my fresh and grey tanks are not correct
