Camping world business dynamic

3.0
Details
My name is David Davis I live in Pa. I have had a few bad experiences with CW. It would appear that no matter how many times you complain to corporate that not one person that is in charge of national sales or service will ever call you. People like Ron Baker eastern sales mgr will call you and if you are fortunate he will try and resolve he says problems. Don't believe it until it happens which may be months in the making. The problem with this company is it is bottom line non customer satisfied dynamics. Let Marcus explain it to you it is one promise or lie after another just to get you to sign on the bottom line and CW gets its money and the customer like me gets the shaft. Corporate passes the buck leadership is a ten letter word for we don't care. email me and I will give you some hard facts..

Camping World - 2015 Forest River Sierra Review from Kings Mountain, North Carolina

I'm extremely discussed with the service department and customer service at the Concord NC Tom Johnsons Camping World!!! It's really gone down the crapper sense Camping World bought them out! I have had my 2015 park model Forest River Sierra for warranty repairs sense September of 2015 and Still waiting??? And no updates or calls from anyone? This doesn't suprise anyone does it ? That's why I wouldn't refer anyone to buy anything from anywhere that's affiliated with Camping World!!!!!!!

Camping World - 2001 Coleman Bayside Elite Review from Des Moines, Iowa

I called about a pop up camper that Camping World of Cedar Falls had listed online. I inquired about what the camper had to offer and asked if everything worked. I was then told by Gabe that he would personally go out and check it over and call me back with the details. Needless to say I didn't receive a call back which is pretty frustrating. I was willing to put down a down payment after they inspected the camper to make sure everything worked to ensure that it wouldn't get sold until I was able to make the drive up there being that I'm two hours away. I then called back again and asked to speak to someone else, just to be told that the camper was sold 15 minutes ago. Camping World of Cedar Falls has about THE WORST customer service I've dealt with!

Camping World - Starcraft Rv Review from Alden, New York

Camping World of Buffalo is a dishonest company. They sold me what I believe to be a new Starcraft travel trailer this year. It turns out that the trailer was used by the Erie County Fair administration for two weeks for living in.So this is not a new trailer this is a used trailer which they were deceivingly passing off as a new trailer. That is just a small example of the horrible experience we have had wth this company. Please don't buy from them

Camping World in Houston, Texas - RUDE RUDE AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you go to Camping World beware of Don (and older guy) who will be wearing a black shirt sitting at the front of the show room. He has a bad bullish attitude and thinks he owns the place! My husband and I just drove 2 hours round trip to shop for a motorhome and were prepared to put down a nice deposit. We specifically called in advance and spoke to their receptionist if there store policy allows customers to walk and browse on their own -- we were advised "yes" -- when we arrived the same receptionist greeted us and remembered our conversation and stated "you are the couple that wants to walk on your own" -- she further stated, just approach the guys sitting at the podium and they will point you in the right direction. As instructed my husband approach "Don" and followed the receptionists directions. And here is how it went: Husband: Hi, my wife and I are here to look at a Motorhome and we would like to be un-escorted Don: I dont think so, you aint goin out there without me! (in a bullish angry voice) Husband: Well we called in advance and we were advised by the receptionist that it is okay Don: I dont give a *** what she said - she dont own this place Husband: Excuse me??? Don: You heard what I said u aint goin out there!!!! I will be going out there with you or you aint goin out there!! Wife: Is there a problem? (as I was approaching the situation) Don: There aint no problem here lady (in a very angry agitated voice) Husband: Excuse me do not speak to my wife like that Wife: OMG - I cant believe you are talking to us like this? Don: Well believe it -- yall can leave !!! Husband: Hey -- do not talk to my wife like that -- you need to apologize! Don: I aint apologizing -- yall can leave Wife: I want a Manager Husband: Let's go...we will handle outside their facility Yes, this guy really works at Camping World #NEVER AGAIN#NEXT TIME SHOPPING AT#HOLIDAY WORLD#DEMONTROND RV# TERRY VAUGHN#LONE STAR#PPL MOTORS

Camping World - 2015 Heartland Pioneer Rv Review from Buffalo, New York

3.3
Details
I will give a little back story first. We were recently in the market for a new travel trailer. The family had outgrown ours, a Jayco Jayflight 26BH. We knew we wanted a quality TT because we have 3 kids and 2 dogs. We also wanted a pantry in the kitchen, at least 2 slides and actual doors in the bedrooms instead of curtains. We went to camping world to take a look at the inventory. We were met by our salesman J*****. I will say that he was a very nice, attentive salesman. If he worked somewhere else, he would probably do great. We were interested in a Heartland Mallard as it had everything we wanted in a TT. The price was O.K., not great. I talked with our salesman about the normal stuff, trade in, tax tag and title, and any manufacturer discounts. He runs some numbers and what he came back with boggled my mind!! There trade in offer was $6000 less than the other dealers we went and visited. I said absolutely not! Exit J** and enter the sales manager. He tried to explain to me how they have so many bunk houses for this price and that and he could never recoup his money off of my trade. He then acted like he would try to get more money for it. He comes back with a new number, only $4000 less than the other dealers! Another thing is now the sales price has changed, to the tune of $12,000! He tried explaining that he couldnt sell me that TT at the sale price and give me "so much" money for my trade. He then asked if I would be open to another brand. I said sure, if it were the same quality. He shows me a 2015 Pioneer. I dont recall the exact model but it was a 35' with 2 slides and a back room. No pantry, no doors for the rooms and no storage space. The cabinet doors were so flimsy that went you pulled them to open, they bowed out about 4" before opening! My wife and I said absolutely not! If i am going to spend that kind of money, i want what i want, NO COMPROMISE!! He then proceeded to tell me all the great things about this coach. I said i still wasnt interested. He said he would throw in a $250 gift card to buy storage tubs because of the lack of storage. What a joke. As we were leaving he gave me a workup sheet to think about. The price of the trailer, FULL MSRP! The sale price was $14,000 less. My trade, $4,000 less. Plus, Camping World charges a $1800 demo and prep fee! Needless to say i didnt buy from them. He manager said i wasnt serious enough. Well, i went the next day and bought exactly what were were looking for and for the price we wanted to pay. My advice is to stay well clear of Camping World. They will try to push you into a unit you dont want at a price that is insanely high. Go to one of the other various RV dealers around.

Camping World in Mesa, Arizona - FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!

5.0
Details
Met the most spectacular, caring, well prepared sales representative, Jeana Matts, at the Mesa, AZ Camping World Store! Purchased a beautiful Redwood 5th wheel RV from her...NO PRESSURE, JUST GENUINE ACCOMPLISHED PROFESSIONALISM. How refreshing! Following this the Service Dept was incredible as well: Tony Nunocchi, Mgr. who went beyond the call of duty to make sure our RV was perfect and strived to please us in every way, and lastly want to mention J.R. Easter, Service Technician, who selflessly at the last moment before we left the lot, tirelessly worked to finish any last minute "detail tweeks." J.R. was very friendly with a great attitude. Thank you all SO MUCH; we'll be back again and again. Camping World is the best! Vern and Bev Herrell

Does Camping World of Indianapolis Make Good On Customer Promises?

No, I purchased a motor coach October 31, 2015 and have yet to take delivery (but fully paid the asking price). Is there any way to get them to fulfill written customer promises without a lawsuit? My next stop is the Better Businerss Bureau and the Indiana Attorney General. Have asked to simply talk with the Corporate VP of Customer Service via several avenues to no avail. If anyone kinows how to make them good to their word, please let me know at personablefellow@outlook.com Thanks!

Camping World in San Martin, California - Misrepresentation of Day/Night shade fabric

We ordered a new night shade for our toy hauler. When it arrived, it looked nothing like the fabric sample online. The Camping world store in San Martin was no help at all, they referred me to customer service, because it was a special order. Customer service contacted the shade company and they sent a picture of the fabric we picked. I took a picture of the completed shade and sent it to Camping World. Their samples are a close up of the material, they don't show the whole pattern, what we thought was a criss-cross texture, turned out to be a bunch circles/water spots. There's no way the picture on-line comes close to the finished product. Anyone with common sense could see that. They offered a $30 dollar credit for a new shade, I don't think I should have to pay anything for their misrepresentation of the fabric. The shade was $80 +tax, so I asked, make it $40, we'll split it. No can do they said. They can sponsor NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series but can't cough up $10 more. They just lost a 17 year customer. And it's not just because of money, it's their refusal admit their mistake. I have Pan Pacific and See Grins RV right down the road. They will get my business from now on.
