Camping World - Toy Hauler Review from Valencia, California

2.7
Details
I can't believe they treat people like this. I have a 2016 toyhauler with a tankless water heater. It hasn't worked right yet. I take it in and get excuses from their service. I've heard things like, it's a low efficiency model, propane works differently in the mountains, we can't reproduce the problem. The problem is the unit doesn't make hot water! They say it makes 130 degree hot water but even with them telling me that I ask the service guy of the water feels hot and he says no! I call corporate office and they tell me to call roadside assistance. Basically they don't care. Spending $50k with them and they don't care about the satisfaction of they customers.

Camping World in Bozeman, Montana - Useless extended warranty

3.0
Details
When I had a problem with my covered RV on the road last summer, I called the # shown on my policy (weekday, before 5 pm) and was put on hold until my cellphone died. No person, no voicemail, so no help. After taking my own action & getting home, called them again. After several various contacts, found out that my problem was excluded (per pg.6 of contract). I had only received 4 pages of the contract; asked for the other pages - still waiting 6 months later. Absolutely disgusted; want my money back. What good is an extended warranty, if you can't find out what's covered and being able contact someone or leave message 24/7 when you need them.

Camping World in Lorton, Virginia - Don't count on free shipping

I joined Sam's Club and started ordering items for a older motorhome from Camping World I'm fixing up. First order over $100.00 and got free shipping, all's fine.. Second order $185.00 and when I clicked final on purchase realized I was charged $11.78 shipping.. Live texting was told they had made mistake and I would be refunded on credit card. Third order over $200.00 and this time before final checkout realized was being charged shipping. So thru chat was told that no items were freight, oversize, special shipping, etc that would cause shipping charges. BUT was told that there were certain items that would cause an order to be ineligble for free shipping. The item they named on my order was a tube of Dicor caulking. I removed this item from cart and shipping charges were still there. I just quit on the order.. Since that time I have spent close to a thousand dollars on items from RV & Auto parts supply, Amazon, and other places. I will not buy from Camping World again, not just because of the shipping charges but mostly because I just don't trust them and they also did NOT take the earlier charges off my credit card...They lost a potential long time customer but I gained insight on which places to deal with and which to avoid.........Dave

Camping World in Saint George, Utah - Customer Relations--BAD

1.8
Details
Purchased RV in May 2015 has been in and out of service most of the time, worst Customer Care Policy ever dealt with. Last time in November 2015 with a short list of warranty repair work, after 5 weeks and about half a dozen calls they kept telling us they were waiting on manufacture OK (we checked not true) finally called General Manager we were told it was ready the warped closet doors replacement we were told was being custom made would be here first week of Dec. 2015, we picked up RV (filthy) was told the doors will be here first of Jan. 2016, it is now middle of Feb. 2016 have NOT heard from anybody at Camping World. Another weird thing is the do not provide paper work on what they supposedly did to unit. Another complaint was when they moved it around using a forklift they knocked a chunk of fiber glass out of front cone, did not tell us we found it when washing it they agreed to fix and did, but when we picked it up in Dec. 2015 brought it home and in the process of cleaning it up noticed that they had knocked another chunk out of the fiber glass cone did they tell us NO. There Customer Care Policy sucks.

They are the best of the best! Bought my Winnebago Tour 42QD from them! Camping World of Longmont, Colorado is awesome! Thank you Tony Bova you were awesome and you sold me my dream coach!! The whole team at Camping World of Longmont treated me with the upmost respect and found me the coach I wanted. I really appreciate all the hard work from the sales process to the finance managers! Todd and Jim were excellent with helping me secure the best rate possible... If I could rate this store 6 stars I absolutely would! Thank you, Dr. Justine Ryan

Camping World in Florida - Over charge for 2016 pioneer RK280 of $7,000.00

2.5
Details
My wife and I were on vacation in Ocala,fl , at a campground adjacent to the Camper World dealership. Having a very small camping trailer we decided to stop in the dealership to look at new units. We found a 2016 Pioneer RK280 that was exactly what we wanted, hence the deal began. The unit price quoted was $28,950.We requested $10,000 trade in allowence for our 2013 Nomad 196. The deal was made and My wife and self returned home supposed Happy Campers. Well not having a way to comparison shop when in Florida  all was well until I got home and was then able to look online at numerous other Camping World dealers and finding the very same Camper with the very same options listed for $ 21,995. I proceeded to contact several of the other Dealers in reference to the unit, and was told their unit was in stock and available for $21,995,and in one instance was offered a sight unseen deal of $15,000 difference with my unit in trade. In short I was overcharged approx $9,000, almost the exsct price of the options which were included in all other Camping World dealer prices of $21995. out and out robbed and we never saw the GUN... Beware of Camping World , they will not even return my attemps to contact. They Know they robbed an Elderly couple and are apparently proud of their SHADY dealing.

Typical of their sales practice. Offered us the 2100.00 dollar warranty deal that carries a 250.00 dollar deductible.

After negotions the deal was made from 2100.00 to 80.00 and a 100.00 dollar deductible.

They pass you from person to person if you tell them no thankyou. Flat out liers.

Camping World - Website Review from Seligman, Arizona

We are looking to purchase a new travel trailer. Saw the trailers we wanted to look at on the internet they had them both in stock the website said they were open till 6 p.m. went there at 4:30 and they would not open up the trailers to show us because they close at 5 (winter hours you know). We had just driven 80 miles for this. no problem we decided to call in advance another day so the trailers would be ready. After calling at 9 a.m. on Friday they assured me the trailers would be ready to view I also gave them a list of everything I wanted on my trailer and could they have a price ready for me when I get there at 4pm. They assured me they would do this. When I arrived the trailers have not been opened up and they had no idea how much my trailer would cost, they said they were too busy to get it done that day. I told them I would call tomorrow. When I called back at 4 p.m. the following day they still had no idea of how much a trailer was going to cost, again they were too busy to build me a quote. I guess they don't care about selling a $30,000 trailer to someone too bad I would like to have purchased it locally

Camping World - 1993 Fleetwood Pace Arrow Review from Aurora, Colorado

We bought a motorhome from Camping World and because I didnt go to pick it up with my freind he got totally screwed... The locks on the under storage compartments dont lock, the propane tank leaks, the fresh water tank was tampered with, the leveling jacks dont work, the solar chargers are missing, the roof leaks from skylights and air conditioners, the furnace wont light even after following advice(wrong) offered by camping world service department... These are only a few of the problems, and they told my freind nothing about any of it, and sold him the motorhome "as is". And to make matters worse, the generator wont run!!! Camping World staff consists of liars, cheaters, and scammers!!! I will never spend another dime there... Now, we paid $5000 cash for the vehicle, and we have to put about $15000 into it, which we dont have... Thanks Camping World for destroying our dreams...

Camping World in Henderson, Nevada - Warrenty Work Sucks

Details
Trailer as been at Camping world for over 2 months doing warranty work. Three weeks ago they said the repairs had been approved by the factory (keystone) and the parts should arrive in 2 weeks (only took 2 months to get that far). Service is pathetic to say the least time frame sucks if they have a back log like this they should tell you up front. I guess when I get ready to purchase another trailer it will not be from Camping World.
