Camping World in Alliance, Ohio - Still fuming...

In 2013 we bought a used Roadtrek with no awning. Found a bag awning at CampingWorld at a decent price and getting the $39 install made it too good to pass up. I checked in at the service desk 20 mins. before my appointment time. 20 mins. after the appt time someone finally got around to talking to me for about 15 mins. then taking my keys. About an hour later 2 guys came to talk to us. I'm guessing the one in the shirt & tie was the onsight attorney? They said the install would require removing cabinets, take at least 6 hrs., and, oh BTW, does not qualify for $39 install. Haven't been back. Plenty other stores around. Also not renewing Good Sam because of their relationship with CW.

Camping World 45 Point Inspection Review from High Springs, Florida

Was told by the service representative at the Camping World location in Tallahassee that he could save us money with an all points inspection of our motorhome for around $444. When it ,came time to have the work done he ,added $96 for shop supplies. When asked what the $96 was for in regard to the shop supplies, the only thing he could state was it was far rags. What an insult to someone's intelligence and a pure rip off. The state should investigate this operation.

Camping World in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri - Bad Manager

I overheard the Manager curse out at a saleswoman so bad it was so ugly. We wont be back.. It was the most unprofessional conversation I ever witness .They pressure sales people to rush though their sales showing them just a few trailers that our on a lock secure fence lot which stinks. When we are looking at spending a hundred grand on a camper it will take a full day . We bought at St. Louis RV way better place to deal with. Good luck running a business with a bunch of good old boys group it will fail. Just my experience John

Camping World in Cocoa, Florida - Call for service-Expect delays

I had an urgent need for a part for my AquaHot. Camping World at Cocoa Beach is listed as an AquaHot service center. I called in the morning and asked for the service department. After along wait, a young lade returned to the phone and said they were "busy" and would I care to leave a message. I left a message explaining what I needed. Late in the afternoon of the same day, a man called and asked what I wanted. I started to explain what I needed and he said he would "probably be able" to look into it the next day. In all my dealings with Camping World, both on the retail and service side, there is never any sense of urgency or buying into your problem. There are hundreds of complaints about this company in the Internet. Why doesn't the owner clean up the problems with this company?

Probably because no one at Camping World Corporate cares!! If anyone, even at a senior corporate level truly gave a ***, and, or had the talent along with an appropriate skill set, things would change in very positive directions.

Hind sight is 20/20 and I have had the same experiences and trusted like so many others. I for one will never make that mistake again.

Shame on me!! Camping World outlets nationwide are simple "SCAM" artists and should be avoided at all cost.

I more or less have about the same problem with Camping World of Columbus Ohio. I have needed a part for over a month, I have left 3 messages with parts department and 3 with managers and still not resolved.

I talked to one guy and gave him info and he said he has to give it to him OEM parts manager the next day. Low and behold he calls me the next morning and asked for the dementions of the cabinet door, he said he would get back with me that day, it's been over a week and a half and I still have not heard from him or anybody. There is never any management at work it seems, 24 yrs in military there was a supervisor to speak to somewhere but I know this is the civilian world, big difference. I have called twice today and the girls at front desk seem to pick people who don't answer phones, so I have left two different messages with two different managers and still no reply...

When you are going to purchase a new camper from them you can't seem to put the phone down, for them calling you all the time.

So it's no problem to sell you a camper but once you leave the lot you are forgotten and don't deserve the time of day from them even though you just spent $35,000 on a camper from them!!!! My opinion, stay away from Camping World, go somewhere where you will be appreciated!!!

Camping World - Toy Hauler Review from Valencia, California

I can't believe they treat people like this. I have a 2016 toyhauler with a tankless water heater. It hasn't worked right yet. I take it in and get excuses from their service. I've heard things like, it's a low efficiency model, propane works differently in the mountains, we can't reproduce the problem. The problem is the unit doesn't make hot water! They say it makes 130 degree hot water but even with them telling me that I ask the service guy of the water feels hot and he says no! I call corporate office and they tell me to call roadside assistance. Basically they don't care. Spending $50k with them and they don't care about the satisfaction of they customers.

Camping World in Bozeman, Montana - Useless extended warranty

When I had a problem with my covered RV on the road last summer, I called the # shown on my policy (weekday, before 5 pm) and was put on hold until my cellphone died. No person, no voicemail, so no help. After taking my own action & getting home, called them again. After several various contacts, found out that my problem was excluded (per pg.6 of contract). I had only received 4 pages of the contract; asked for the other pages - still waiting 6 months later. Absolutely disgusted; want my money back. What good is an extended warranty, if you can't find out what's covered and being able contact someone or leave message 24/7 when you need them.

Camping World in Lorton, Virginia - Don't count on free shipping

I joined Sam's Club and started ordering items for a older motorhome from Camping World I'm fixing up. First order over $100.00 and got free shipping, all's fine.. Second order $185.00 and when I clicked final on purchase realized I was charged $11.78 shipping.. Live texting was told they had made mistake and I would be refunded on credit card. Third order over $200.00 and this time before final checkout realized was being charged shipping. So thru chat was told that no items were freight, oversize, special shipping, etc that would cause shipping charges. BUT was told that there were certain items that would cause an order to be ineligble for free shipping. The item they named on my order was a tube of Dicor caulking. I removed this item from cart and shipping charges were still there. I just quit on the order.. Since that time I have spent close to a thousand dollars on items from RV & Auto parts supply, Amazon, and other places. I will not buy from Camping World again, not just because of the shipping charges but mostly because I just don't trust them and they also did NOT take the earlier charges off my credit card...They lost a potential long time customer but I gained insight on which places to deal with and which to avoid.........Dave

Purchased RV in May 2015 has been in and out of service most of the time, worst Customer Care Policy ever dealt with. Last time in November 2015 with a short list of warranty repair work, after 5 weeks and about half a dozen calls they kept telling us they were waiting on manufacture OK (we checked not true) finally called General Manager we were told it was ready the warped closet doors replacement we were told was being custom made would be here first week of Dec. 2015, we picked up RV (filthy) was told the doors will be here first of Jan. 2016, it is now middle of Feb. 2016 have NOT heard from anybody at Camping World. Another weird thing is the do not provide paper work on what they supposedly did to unit. Another complaint was when they moved it around using a forklift they knocked a chunk of fiber glass out of front cone, did not tell us we found it when washing it they agreed to fix and did, but when we picked it up in Dec. 2015 brought it home and in the process of cleaning it up noticed that they had knocked another chunk out of the fiber glass cone did they tell us NO. There Customer Care Policy sucks.

camping world finally installed new closet doors, incorrectly, now when opening and closing doors the rollers are scratching the door. Said they would contact repair shop for nose cone, last time I called shop they had not called.

Outside light still not working they were goind to order new light "May 2015"???

still waiting. They are pros at procrastinating.
