Camping World in Denham Springs, Louisiana - Not a very knowledgable staff

Had taken my toilet in to buy a flush valve, was told they didn't have one! Needed my rv asap so purchased an upgraded China toilet and was assured by 3 employees that it would fit! A man from service even said that it would work, also said that they had the valves for my old stool! So I purchased the valve and new stool and decided I would put the upgrade in later since I was short on time! Now I try to fit the upgrade and it will not fit any way, any how! Called and was told that there is a strict 90 day return policy! Well I have a strict policy that if you don't know what you are talking about, you shouldn't be talking! Now I have a $200 toilet of no use, to me! Thanks Camping World, I have been a customer for 10 to 12 years now but no more!!! I will also NOT recomend anyone shop with you! A $215 toilet will cost you so much more! Terrible customer service!!!

I JUST WANT EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO USE THERE SERVICE DEPARTMENT- DON'T DO IT!!!!!!! I HAVE HAD MY RV THERE TWICE, BOTH TIMES THEY HAD IT 4 MONTHS EACH TIME, AND THEY PIECED IT BACK TOGETHER AND DIDN'T DO THE WORK CORRECTLY. TERRIBLE ,TERRIBLE WORK. THINGS WERE PUT BACK INTO AND ON THE RV WRONG AND INCORRECTLY, AND IN PIECES. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY WORK. THERE SOLUTION TO ME WAS NOT TO RETURN IT TO THEM, BUT TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. REALLY!!! THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND MY LAWYER WILL BE MY NEXT PHONE CALLS.

Camping World in Wentzville, Missouri - Thinking of Buying Here? Run Away!!

We purchased a used RV from the new Wentzville, MO location about a month ago. The entire buying process was painful. We were there literally half of the day and had to deal with about 4 different people from start to finish, but needless to say, when we pulled off the lot with our "new" RV we couldn't be happier. Fast forward to day 2...the RV won't start. We give it a jump and it's sputtering and not sounding so hot. We had to go back up to the store anyway to sign over our old RV, so we figured we'd just take the new one up there and kill 2 birds with one stone. Problem #2...Now it's not getting gas so it's undriveable at this point. My not so happy boyfriend goes up to the store to sign the paperwork and tries to gt someone to help with the current rv situation. The buck was passed to several different people who claimed "this wasn't their area of expertise" until finally someone gave us a solution. We were told that they couldn't do the work at that location but that we could have the RV towed thru Good Sam at no charge and they gave us a paper of who and where to have it towed to. We were assured that all of the costs associated with the repairs would be covered. 2 weeks later, my RV is finally fixed. The total bill for the repairs (bad sensor) was $1758. Now, I call back Camping World to see how we go about getting these guys paid so that I can finally take my RV home and suddenly nobody knows anything about the situation!! Once again the buck is being passed and nobody wants to take responsibility for anything. Just getting someone on the phone to even talk to you is insane and then of course they are not the right person. I finally was able to get in touch with our sales person who agreed to have his manager call be back. That has yet to happen. This company, or at least this location does not care at all about their customers after the sale is complete. They got our money so anything after the fact they could care less about. It takes a whole lot for me to get to the point that I write any kind of reviews, but I promise this experience is so horrible that I will be dedicating a whole lot of my free time to letting everyone know what kind of business is being run here and to stay clear.

I agree with you on the Wentzville camping world. We bought an RV there and have had warranty issues.

We have taken it in 3 times, and they will just keep it until you go tell them that you want it. They always say they ordered the wrong part, and they will call you when the correct one comes in, but you never get that call.

Absolutely the WORST service department we have ever dealt with. They don't even pretend to care

. Bait and Switch tactics . Items are super overpriced . When a few lies were told to us and I called them on it, they reluctantly gave me the CEO's name and address by HANDING ME SOME PAPER AND I HAD TO WRITE IT DOWN AFTER THEY POINTED OUT TO A SIGN WHICH DIDN'T HAVE THE INFO I REQUESTED. . They delivered a camper only the driver was inept and worse yet, the few vehicles that would have NOT left damage (via tread marks in my yard) were sold so they sent heavy duty trucks that damaged my lawn. Furthermore, while doing so, they backed the camper into one of the bushes on my property which damaged the camper and for which I refused delivery. . No one called from there to apologize. . The company had the nerve to tell my fiancé when he went back to retrieve the trade-in that I HAD TO GO BACK TO THEIR OFFICE TO SIGN OFF SOME PAPERWORK, INSTEAD OF OVERNIGHTING OR MAILING IT TO ME AND PROVIDING A RETURN LABEL. . It took 2 phone calls to finally get an answer only the CEO didn't answer the letter or the various points raised, but finally sent my check to cover my labor and materials. My advice: Go to several places and find the best deal. Then tell them IF YOU WANT TO REWARD INEPT PERSONNEL THERE, THAT THIS IS WHAT YO WANT TO PAY AND IF THEY REFUSE OR TRY TO INTIMIDATE YOU, WALK AWAY! Remember, you're the boss, NOT THEM! Without you, they don't get a commission and if enough people write to the CEO or president, Mr. Lemmons in Bowling Creek, KY, they may be forced to send these bozos to classes on how to treat a customer and limit the amount of blatant lies they told us to NO LIES.

I suffered humiliation, aggravation and disrespect. I learned my lesson and I'm putting it out there for you to beware.

Yes as a previous employer of Camping World, Roanoke Store, I was a Tech and was instructed to do shady work on Customers Vehicles, my name is David and I would not recommend you take anything to these people if you want it done right. They only want your money and could care less about you or your Camper.

Mike McCoy and Kevin Thomas are not business people at all. I would look else where if I was you.

First off the finance rep for camping World in Fountain CO was wonderful he provided more service than the sales rep or the service folks. Name was Brian Ford. The service department is either under staffed or they don't care. There is no quality control as proved by a tech installing a new TV in my unit and never testing it causing me to drive 75 miles to have it fixed. Picked up unit and tested DVD at home and it is not connected to TV. Got home and auto leveler displaying message that its not working, what that has to do with the TV is beyond me. The leveler was working when I took it to Camping World. You would think when you spend in excess of $100,000 on a Motor home you would be taken care of. Guess not!

when my wife and I were going over the things we needed for our new montana 3711fl we were charged labor for everything we needed or wanted. like the fifth wheel in my truck to the toppers for the 6 slideouts, then they didn't add the cost of all of it to the loan which ended up being over 5k dollars. but then they blamed us saying we said we would pay separate for it. then they told us the camper was ready to be picked up and to bring our trade in. well the montana was not ready to leave, the camper was dirty and has grease on the carpet in the living room. they couldn't find items that come with the montana. they just wanted us to bring in our camper before the end of the month, the manager started an argument with me in front of everyone wanting to know when I planned on paying for the items that he omitted from the loan, it turned into a *** contest and the employees could not believe it. I will spend the the rest of my life informing others why not to buy from camping world. I am 58 yrs old so I feel the next 20 yrs I will be busy on the internet and to anyone who will listen. oh I almost forgot they were so *** cheap they wanted to charge me an hrs labor to put the wash machine that ( I was going to buy there) in the montana. my 1st payment is due and still haven't received our camper. absolutely no customer service for someone who spent over $ 78000.00 not a good experience at all. PLEASE : DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! THEY DON'T GIVE A *** ABOUT YOU, SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHILE PUTTING A KNIFE IN YOUR BACK.

Kids sneak in at night and throw rocks at the campers it backs up to Reifler concrete that is full of rocks also railroad tracks have big rcoks I seen kids throwing rocks from Reifler concerete at toy hauler smashed window.

Great Staff at the Camping World of Wentzville, MO

Hello Campers I just wanted to say How Great the Staff of the New Wentzville Camping World Mo Location is. We purchased a new Sunset Trail 320BH RV. I actually did some research prior to the purchase and I wanted to know the Price of this Model From Camping World, when I called I was transferred to a sales Rep Melissa who looked up the price and gave me a quote over the phone when I told her I could buy this at a lower Price from another Dealer she told me they could price match the deal. I told her we would be in on the Weekend to make the Deal but we couldn’t wait so the next day we went to the store. Melissa was off so they had us speak to a great sales person Dan or Daniel Flynn he is wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new Sales person, also Rob from finance superb. We wanted some additional items added to our new coach like a Second AC unit and Vent Covers and a Maxx Fan. The Parts & Service Dept exceptional group, Neal, Russ and Mike L.

I am glad you had a great experience at the "New' Wentzville Camping World. Please don't ever try to get me in the door again.

I am new to camping, just purchased our camper before this place opened up. Last week I purchased an item and my wife wanted a different style, more expensive. they wanted to give me less than half of what I paid for this because I used a $25 gift card I got from Good Sam club. They would not do the difference.

And it was still brand new in original package!! I asked for a manager and they could not fix this. This is the way the Computer system is set up. So I got home and called Customer Service, they are saying the same thing.

You can only use it once??? RIP OFF!! I will go to a more consumer friendly store.

My friend that was with me, that just bought a new camper too, has bought a lot of items there also. He said he will reconsider going again too.

I was told the bed folded out but no one would demenstrate. I looked in manual and YouTube no luck called salesman no callback. I had to wait till February, 3 mos. to get appointment. Service was rude and blamed me. They said the bed was installed wrong then legs bent I knew that was wrong. Finally got salesman to check with Thor and found the bed was supposed to have a mattress and would take another two weeks to get. We have been without the use of our rv for 5 mons. I called the manager of camping world in okc. He said he would care of it! Never called back so far and won't in my BAD experience with camping world.

My review is specifically for the Wentzville Missouri location. I purchased my camper a little over 3 weeks ago. Alan, the salesman is wonderful, you will never find a nicer man. As for the rest of the transaction, it was HORRIBLE. The manager "conveniently forgot" details of our deal, when you ask a question the person in front of you has to consult someone else. Once you have that answer I hope you don't have any other questions because that process repeats. They put the wrong banking information on my paperwork and I only found this out after calling the wrong bank and having to call Rob in the Finance Department. He was rude but offered to call the bank to find out paperwork status. When he called back he gave me the wrong account number. As a previous car salesman and someone that has only been with Camping World a few weeks, I would think he would be trying to make a better impression than that. When I did finally reach the correct bank even the person on the phone said that I am not the first person to have a negative experience with Camping World. Bottom line is that while I think Camping World has a lot as far as selection and the prices are decent, I believe that the people working at this specific location could benefit from some additional training.
