Camping World in Phoenix, Arizona - No clue

I just bought a used 2013 Georgetown 377 10,000 miles from Camping World Syracuse, NY. I will never understand how you can sell a product you now nothing about these people ar useless right up to the sales Manager. I offered $9000 below what they were asking, the sales manager pulls a rookie move and says he was insulted by my offer. I replied I don't know you from Adam so why should I trust you. Long story short they promised to make sure everything is in proper working order before its delivered to me. The PDI was a joke, they handed me over to Phil, not to bang the poor guy but I knew more about this RV then he did. Anyway I got it home to my mechanic who had to spend an additional $1500 to get it in shape, LP sensor was shot, grey water sensor shot, hot water heater barely working, they promised all new batteries, not done, they were suppose to detail it, was filthy upon delivery. If I didn't have to drive 5hours to pick it up I would have left it there. They are ***.

Camping World - Meridian, ID 2007 5th wheel

4.3
Details
We have never had a such a horrible experience! They resealed our roof, sides, slides, vents, etc. which only took 10 days but we had purchased a satellite dish from the same store, which was to also be installed. Went to pick up our trailer, was told it was complete, paid the bill and hooked it up to our truck. When we asked for someone to show us how the satellite worked we were then told "oh, the satellite is installed but it doesn't work !!" So now 3 weeks later after idol promises, no return phone calls,a "free" wash job, which showed up on our bill in the amount of $257 (was deducted from the bill and we didn't get the free wash), broken molding and our stinger with a 2" ball was missing, we finally have our 5th wheel back. We were provided with a new molding strip that we will have to install and they are paying for the "lost" stinger and ball. The only positive from this experience was meeting Aaron, from the service bay, who showed us how to use the satellite. WE WILL NEVER USE NOR RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD TO ANYONE.

Camping World Sales Manager Review

2.7
Details
I would never again purchase an RV from Camping World. Sales personnel were effective and professional. They did err in paperwork that allowed Thor to sidestep their responsibility for various issues. Service managers were often rude and clearly had no intention of addressing multiple issues with my RV that arose during my purchased Extended Warranty. That was a joke itself in that it appeared they were dancing a sidestep until I was out of warranty and responsible for all costs. The purchased warrant was with a well known name but when contacted I was informed they are there only on name. Camping World "manages" their own claims... Guess what their incentives are? I still have an RV I greatly enjoy. I would not use the service department or purchase any other product from them.

I received a message as to whether my issues had been resolved. There has been no effort from Camping World or Thor to make contact.

I am not surprised as Camping World kept my RV for months on two occasions and either inadequately or not at all addressed my issues. Thor has not commented on an RV that I purchased with "new status" paperwork and 2 thousand miles on the odometer as to how they can sidestep new vehicle warranty coverage.

The Good Sam allegedly bumper to bumper coverage was administerd by Camping World and came up with many holes in the coverage when contacted.

Camping World in Coburg, Oregon - Bad brakes, bad other things.

1.0
Details
I foolishly purchased a used motorhome from Camping World in Coburg, OR and even though I had it in the sales agreement to repair the brakes, fix a couple of other issues, and repair windshield chips, the only thing done was the chips. They claimed the brakes were 80% but even the delivery guy found them difficult. After being tired of looking at motorhomes I was *** to fall for these guys lies. WARNING, DO NOT EVER BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. Their lack of customer service, deceptive tactics, and out and out lies made this the very worst purchasing experience of my life, and I am a senior. Repeat, do not purchase anyting from this dealership. Nothing! They did not even clean the vehicle as all other dealers do. What a bunch!

Don't go to Camping World -- bad service

I can't say enough about how bad my experience was with Camping World. Right now my RV is stuck there in their service department, and I am in limbo because nobody from their service department will contact me after repeated calls to them. I started reading reviews online, and it appears I am not alone in my experience. I contacted Good Sam Club, which is somehow affiliated with Camping World. I do not know what is their relationship with Camping World, but I think it is pretty strong. I think they either have the same poor corporate culture as Camping World or they just don't care either. One review I read mentioned his next call would be to his lawyer. While I am not the litigating type, I think that may have to be my next step -- after all, Camping World has my RV, and if they won't contact me, my RV is stuck there.

Camping World in Denham Springs, Louisiana - Not a very knowledgable staff

Had taken my toilet in to buy a flush valve, was told they didn't have one! Needed my rv asap so purchased an upgraded China toilet and was assured by 3 employees that it would fit! A man from service even said that it would work, also said that they had the valves for my old stool! So I purchased the valve and new stool and decided I would put the upgrade in later since I was short on time! Now I try to fit the upgrade and it will not fit any way, any how! Called and was told that there is a strict 90 day return policy! Well I have a strict policy that if you don't know what you are talking about, you shouldn't be talking! Now I have a $200 toilet of no use, to me! Thanks Camping World, I have been a customer for 10 to 12 years now but no more!!! I will also NOT recomend anyone shop with you! A $215 toilet will cost you so much more! Terrible customer service!!!

Camping World in Wentzville, Missouri - Thinking of Buying Here? Run Away!!

1.0
Details
We purchased a used RV from the new Wentzville, MO location about a month ago. The entire buying process was painful. We were there literally half of the day and had to deal with about 4 different people from start to finish, but needless to say, when we pulled off the lot with our "new" RV we couldn't be happier. Fast forward to day 2...the RV won't start. We give it a jump and it's sputtering and not sounding so hot. We had to go back up to the store anyway to sign over our old RV, so we figured we'd just take the new one up there and kill 2 birds with one stone. Problem #2...Now it's not getting gas so it's undriveable at this point. My not so happy boyfriend goes up to the store to sign the paperwork and tries to gt someone to help with the current rv situation. The buck was passed to several different people who claimed "this wasn't their area of expertise" until finally someone gave us a solution. We were told that they couldn't do the work at that location but that we could have the RV towed thru Good Sam at no charge and they gave us a paper of who and where to have it towed to. We were assured that all of the costs associated with the repairs would be covered. 2 weeks later, my RV is finally fixed. The total bill for the repairs (bad sensor) was $1758. Now, I call back Camping World to see how we go about getting these guys paid so that I can finally take my RV home and suddenly nobody knows anything about the situation!! Once again the buck is being passed and nobody wants to take responsibility for anything. Just getting someone on the phone to even talk to you is insane and then of course they are not the right person. I finally was able to get in touch with our sales person who agreed to have his manager call be back. That has yet to happen. This company, or at least this location does not care at all about their customers after the sale is complete. They got our money so anything after the fact they could care less about. It takes a whole lot for me to get to the point that I write any kind of reviews, but I promise this experience is so horrible that I will be dedicating a whole lot of my free time to letting everyone know what kind of business is being run here and to stay clear.

I agree with you on the Wentzville camping world. We bought an RV there and have had warranty issues.

We have taken it in 3 times, and they will just keep it until you go tell them that you want it. They always say they ordered the wrong part, and they will call you when the correct one comes in, but you never get that call.

Absolutely the WORST service department we have ever dealt with. They don't even pretend to care

Update by user Apr 03, 2016

I will add more negative review if the company doesn't refund the rest of my claim.

Original review posted by user Apr 02, 2016

. Bait and Switch tactics . Items are super overpriced . When a few lies were told to us and I called them on it, they reluctantly gave me the CEO's name and address by HANDING ME SOME PAPER AND I HAD TO WRITE IT DOWN AFTER THEY POINTED OUT TO A SIGN WHICH DIDN'T HAVE THE INFO I REQUESTED. . They delivered a camper only the driver was inept and worse yet, the few vehicles that would have NOT left damage (via tread marks in my yard) were sold so they sent heavy duty trucks that damaged my lawn. Furthermore, while doing so, they backed the camper into one of the bushes on my property which damaged the camper and for which I refused delivery. . No one called from there to apologize. . The company had the nerve to tell my fiancé when he went back to retrieve the trade-in that I HAD TO GO BACK TO THEIR OFFICE TO SIGN OFF SOME PAPERWORK, INSTEAD OF OVERNIGHTING OR MAILING IT TO ME AND PROVIDING A RETURN LABEL. . It took 2 phone calls to finally get an answer only the CEO didn't answer the letter or the various points raised, but finally sent my check to cover my labor and materials. My advice: Go to several places and find the best deal. Then tell them IF YOU WANT TO REWARD INEPT PERSONNEL THERE, THAT THIS IS WHAT YO WANT TO PAY AND IF THEY REFUSE OR TRY TO INTIMIDATE YOU, WALK AWAY! Remember, you're the boss, NOT THEM! Without you, they don't get a commission and if enough people write to the CEO or president, Mr. Lemmons in Bowling Creek, KY, they may be forced to send these bozos to classes on how to treat a customer and limit the amount of blatant lies they told us to NO LIES.

May 1, 2016...still have NOT received my $60.00 compensation for materials.

DO NOT, DO NOT REPEAT, TRUST THIS COMPANY!

I suffered humiliation, aggravation and disrespect. I learned my lesson and I'm putting it out there for you to beware.

Best of luck in your search.

Yes as a previous employer of Camping World, Roanoke Store, I was a Tech and was instructed to do shady work on Customers Vehicles, my name is David and I would not recommend you take anything to these people if you want it done right. They only want your money and could care less about you or your Camper.

Mike McCoy and Kevin Thomas are not business people at all. I would look else where if I was you.
