Camping Work has a good talk but doesnt back it up.

I bough a new 2014.5 Challenger from them and have had nothing but problems. It has spent more time in the shop than at the campgrounds. Most of the miles that we have put on it has been getting it from The Lake of the Ozarks to Strafford. The service manager ( George ) promised held handle this himself but after asking him to get info on why the refrigerator doesn't work when driving the coach he said he would have info in a few days but as of now its been over 3 weeks! It took over a month for them to get a wiper motor ! We couldn't go camping in fear that we would get caught in the rain. The cabinet doors fall off if you try to open they so I have spent many weekends repairing them. To date I have had aprox. 30 problems , some major and some minor. I will be be upgrading with another Thor and I will not buy again in Strafford Missouri. Do your self a favor and go some where else.

Camping World Kingston, NY- terrible service and lies.

I brought my 2011 Keystone. Hornet in to have a leaky black water tank replaced. Their mobile service manager, Ellen Peters does not return phone calls and is extremely rude. When the tank finally came in 2 weeks later, they said they had ordered the wrong tanks and would reorder and eat the shipping. Later that day they switched the story and said they ordered the correct tank and that Keystone made the error. While there, it took them over 3 hours to replace a valve stem in a tire and then had the nerve to charge me $72 for it. When I asked for some consideration considering I sat there for over 3 hours and because of the tank issue, that said they would not do anything. Also, when I asked to speak to management, nobody would speak to me about my situation. It has been the worsted customer service. I have ever experienced. I will never do business with. Camping World again.

Any chance that it took 3 hours because you were not the only customer who was having their RV worked on? Or perhaps they should have pushed every other Rv aside and worked on yours because you are special.

This is the same thing as complaining that you had to wait 3 hours to get in for a blood pressure check at the Dr. when you showed up out of the blue at his office.

Camping World - Salesperson Review from Jackson, Tennessee

My wife an I went to camping world in Chattanooga Tennessee to look at class a mother homes. The one that we had seen advertised was not of interest to us so we we were going out the door an the salesman said I have a 2013 winnabgo that I would like to show you. My wife went on to the car an I went to see the coach. Well I couldn't get it off my mind so we went back to see if we could make a deal. We did reach an agreement an we were so excited to be getting a 2013 coach well a week later they called an said everything was ready to be there in an hour we arrived at 1:00 pm an at 6:00 we were still waiting on the finance mananger . she was so max because she said she didn't no we were coming fussed the whole time how hungry she was.all the time didn't offer to explain the papers she was risking well at 8:00pm we were unloading our coach an they were selling it as we were giving out stuff out. On our way we went to Florida on Monday morning I.called our insurance co to switch the coach when I gave her the ven# the insurance co said sir that is a 2010 I passed out. Called camping world an they said we signed the papers which we did I trusted the salsman .came home went to talk to the manager he had nothing to say except the salesman was out of town. He would check it out and give me all back .I haven't heard from them. My wife ash the finance mgmt why we didn't get a better interest rate an it being a 2013 she didn't answer is this the way you train your people?

Very poor service

Went to Camping World Saukville Wisconsin to have a defective toilet valve replaced. Entire episode couldn't have been worse. Technician discovered broken valve within minutes, certainly less than 5. I was told it would be ready in 2 days. So far so good but this is where it began to fall apart. I checked 2 days later and was told they had to order the part; it would be in the following Monday. I told them I was leaving on Wednesday. I called Tuesday and was told the part was on the truck. They called me later to say it was the wrong part. They also said I should plan on 7 to 10 days for all service and repair work. I decided to try a local dealer - more on that later. I went to pick up the trailer and was charged $68 for nothing. When I attempted to hitch the trailer to my car, I noticed that the clip which secured the anti-sway bar hitch was missing. Went to Roskopf's RV, about 20 miles away. Got there at 1:30, explained my plight, and they had it replaced in less than an hour. The part was in stock there and they told me it was a very common part. I was misled and lied to by Camping World Saukville Wisconsin and was ripped off by being charged for work which wasn't done. I will buy my supplies elsewhere and would never consider buying an RV from Camping World.

I bought a very expensive new trailer and service has been terrible.I had 3 small items for warrenty work and it took forever to get my trailer back and one very cheap item on the list was not even repaired :((. One manager wouldn't even answer my email, the other managers I had to reach out to to get an answer.I will find a part to replace the warrenty item they didn't replace myself,I am done dealing with these people and I will never buy a trailer from them again!!!!!!!!!

Blaming the business on shipping time. This day and age people are getting dumber and dumber.

You can't get what you need in an hour if they don't have it they don't.

$68 is probably for shipping the part....... That you ordered

Then you're dumb and dumber. $68 for shipping is still a rip off.

I just priced a used trailer there and was told there is a $1000 dealer prep fee. The other dealers I contacted didn't have a prep fee at all.

They also wanted twice the price to put on a weight distribution hitch and braking controls. BEWARE.

2014 Roadmaster Tow Dolly Wheel fell off

We purchased a new Roadmaster Tow Dolly and on the first time out the wheel fell off shearing all five lug bolts below the surface of the brake drum. We had it towed into the Lake City Florida store where it has sat for two months. The manager there stated that he felt the dolly is unsafe and should not be repaired. The manager in Ft Myers Florida where it was purchased stated that it was going to be repaired. Which is it folks? Neither store manager will return my calls and my interaction with Camping World Corporate is nil as they don't even have the courtesy to answer my emails or return calls. Definitely time to cut my losses and look elsewhere for a tow dolly that won't cause issues the first time it is used.

I just called both locations and I understand you have now been taken care of and have a new Tow Dolly correct? Sorry for the delay in getting you taken care of.

Water damage everywhere

I purchased a 2007 Fourwinds Motor home on May 15 2014 from the Colorado Springs store. I asked many questions about the condition of the unit. Specifically does it leak and is there water damage. I have in writing there is no water damage. Mike also said it had a 58 point inspection and no repairs are needed. There is water damage and lots of repairs needed. Pretty much every where you look there is water damage and rotten wood, to the tune of $20,000. Somebody there had to know and chose to ignore it. I trusted your company sales staff and service professionals to be truthful. How could anyone with a shred of decency and professional knowledge fill out the inspection report and not see the damage. I purchased from Camping World because they were a national chain believed the below statement. Bought my Travel Trailer from Camping World of South Alabama less than two years ago for $15,000. Traded in a great Popup for it.

Now I'm trading the Travel Trailer to another dealer for a Motorhome. They've found lots of water damage on my Travel Trailer and assured me (because of the aged areas) that it was there when I bought it. I got $5,000 for it.

The only way I'd ever buy from Camping World again is to take the unit to an independent repair shop and have them inspect it.

My wife and I purchase a 2014 Starcraft 31' travel trailer at the Statesville North Carolina store on June 11 of this year. When we bought it, there was a broken bed support, and we were promised that it would be fixed.

I know a new camper has some "bugs" to work out, but I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the campers performance. We returned from the beach and dropped the camper off on 6/23/14.....guess what they still have it, as of 8/4/14...Do Not...I repeat...do not buy from this company, the product is great but the store sucks canal water. They have no customer service after the sale. None whatsoever.

I wouldn't buy a lawn mower from them. I am a day away from filing with the BBB.

Or the local action 9 news team. They just did a similar story about the Spartenburg SC store and how they tried to rip a customer off as well...Beware....

We traded our 5th wheel camper for another one. Was told that it didn't leak and was in great condition. When we went to pick it up we waited 1/2 of the day. Then we found out we didn't have any kind of warranty at all. Which is surreal. The camper we traded in was used and we had a 30 day warranty with that. We went camping and the awning doesn't roll up correctly, loose. We purchased it to live in. We come south in the winter. The back corner broke inside. We opened it and it was wet. Yep! It doesn't leak. Mind you we saw no sign of leaks when we purchased it. So the corner is open. We have to figure out how to fix it. Then we find that there is a leak in the bedroom on the slide. The one side leaks. It is 1" lower on the one side. Have no idea how to fix it, let alone how to pay for it. Where will we live in that time frame? Then the other day we noticed a drip by the window in the Dining room. Had to take out the ceiling. It is rotted to the top rubber coating. I just don't understand how they can be rated so high on selling campers. We now have to figure out how to repair all these things. We paid a lot of money for this camper last August. Just makes me very mad. How are we suppose to fix all this. Makes me want to scream at them. $$$$$$$$ on us now. This isn't right. We didn't even bother to call them. We asked on pricing and they always want you to bring it in so they can fix it. Who is going to pay for it. Them, what a laugh. Just mad. What can we do????? Please help us someone.

write to the CEO, Marcus Lemonis and demand action. it usually works.

however, Marcus is a greedy son of a bi**h who only looks out for his bank account..

Camping World is a joke.

Marcus is too busy giving away money to people who dont need it, as oppose to helping his own company within. I guess when you realize what you're doing is a failure, one must reach out to new adventures.
