My 2005 Itasca Sunova was recently struck by lightning. The priblems caused were numerous including knocking out both A/C units, the refrigerator and the cirvut bosrds conttollingbelectticsl distrubution. The dealership where i bought it new ssid i coild not bringbitnin for 6 weeks snd to expect 6 - 8 weeks for repairs. Camping World in New Brsunfels got it in two days later and although the dsmsge was extensive and complex they hot it iut within a couple of weeks. The Service Msnager, Bill Heinrich, took a personal interest in my situation, stsyed on top of it znd kept me ingormed every strp of the way. I am not particularly quick to complimentent a business for doing their job as expected but the service at Csmping World New Brsunfels was excepional snd i want to thank them.

Camping World in Jacksonville, Florida - Drive Right on by.

Do not under any circumstances bring your RV, or any other equipment, to Jacksonville Camping World for service. We were driving through and needed an oil change on our nearly spanking new 15 Vista and a scheduled wheel bearing re-pack on our tow dolly. We got it in. They said come back in three to four hours. Four hours later, the service boss said they had the right front wheel bearings of the RV out, but they didn't have a replacement seal for the hub. I asked why they took the right front hub apart on a new coach with 8k miles when I wanted the tow dolly bearings re-packed. Back pedal time. The guy said his 'tech' noticed a leak on the right front of the RV. I was a mechanic for 10 years and told him so, and busted him. I told him I inspect the chassis often and there was no leak. He then left and produced the 'bad' seal, showing me a flawless seal except where it had been pried out of the hub. Did he not hear me tell him about my wrenching past? I told him the seal was fine, except where it was ruined by being pried out of the hub. He left again and returned moments later with something closer to the truth. He said his 'tech' mis-read the work order and started on the RV wheel bearings instead of the tow dolly. I say 'closer' to the truth because he actually still tried to suggest there was a problem in the right front of the coach anyway. I suggested his shop would be paying for the seal and he readily agreed. In the meantime, they had not even started the tow dolly wheel bearing re-pack. About three hours later we were finally out of there. Yesterday I was grilling outside in our current park and noticed a lug nut missing on the tow dolly. I got a new one from Napa and after installing it, decided to check the others. Four were finger-loose. The rest were very close to finger-loose. We could have easily lost a wheel and caused a major pile-up with our 37 foot coach and toad Camry. The Jacksonville Camping World shop should be shut down for investigation and left closed until competent people can be found to operate it.

We bought a 2016 Forest River Forester 2401W. We bought it on March 5,2016 and it had a ripped screen by the dinette. We were told that it would be fixed when we picked it up. It wasn't . We were then told that they had ordered it and that they would call us when it came in. That never happened, so we went back down and was told that it wasn't in yet, so my husband asked for the main man and was told he was on a meeting and my husband said he would wait. They then had him talk to the service director and he assured my husband that someone would call him tomorrow, and they did. We took the motor home In for repairs and they had it for 15 days. We stopped by on our way home from camping in a tent because we had no motor home (over the 4th) and guess what it was done. It was so dirty. It had spider webs all over it, because it was out in a field. I will never buy anything from camping world. Gary Adams

Poorest servic ever at SYRACUSE CAMPING WORLD

After 7 trips to Camping world to Fix the leaky back window and FIVE to fix the drivers window leak and 7 times to fix the jacks that we paid $3750 to fix, NOTHING has been fixed and they IGNORE calls to the service center. They will not answer the phone. My wife and I drove the 1 1/2 HOURS> one way to talk to someone. The sales Mgr. matt tells us that they r trying to fix the service dept. and JUST fired the service Mgr., asst Mgr. and 12 tecks for not doing their jobs? THAT did NOT help us with our $200,000 motor home sitting there that we can NOT use.

I don't believe for one second they fired anyone. I know two of the individuals who were actually trying to help with all the problems I've had with my 2016 Heartland Prowler both resigned because Camping Worlds policies make their job difficult.

I called today and no call back but they did answer my email.

I recently put a down payment on a new RV at Camping World of Asheville NC. I payed well over 50% the price of the RV in cash with the intention to pay the remaining the following day. As fate would have it a family emergency came up on the day after I payed the first half of the cost of the RV. I told the sales person about needing to put off the deal and get the money back. I was told that the money would be refunded within 5 days. I called the sales person,the only person who I had contact with, about the day and and time i would be over to pick up the money. I was told that this would be fine and that the finance department is aware of this. When I arived and finally found someone to talk to about my refund I was given the runaround. They behaved as if they knew nothing about the refunding request. After a rather heated discussion I was told that my money would be refunded by check in one to two weeks from the current day. I can't put much faith in what I was told but at least I did get a promise in writing of a refund in 14 day or less. I do now know that when I'm in the market for a new RV in the future I will not be dealing with Camping World at any location.

Camping World - Camper Warranty Review from Houston, Texas

DO NOT BUY from Camping World in New Braunfels, and if you do, expect to be very frustrated trying to get anything repaired. There were numerous things covered under warranty needing repaired, some small and some big. When we initially took it in, it sat for a couple months on their lot with no repairs done. We finally had to pick it up to use for vacation and still no repairs had been done. Grass had grown up all around it, showing how long it sat there. Second time we took it in, same thing. They kept it gir months. You could never get anyone on the phone or to return a voicemail. This has been extremely frustrating do two reasons. First, we would like to actually use our camper. Second, we are paying for covered storage so that it doesn't get weathered and aged looking, but it's hardly ever even in storage because they keep it for so long. It sites out in the sun and rain while we pay $130 a month for storage. At least 5 months of unused storage have been paid for because they take FOREVER to repair anything. I highly advise buying from anywhere else. It has been a horrible experience so far.

On two different occasions. We have traveled all the way from Louisville with 2 different appointments and each time the appointments were messed up. The first one we ended up taking off work to take out camper in for an apt, got it there early and drove by several times to see private cars in the the bay being worked on. Had to miss work another day and a hotel room to still not have it ready because no one called us to tell us and they did not answer phone when calling and closed without calling us to tell us and went all the way back to find out it was ready as soon as we had gotten home. This time the appt was scheduled wrong and we had to go all the way back to Louisville and come back again and pick it up. This place makes no effort to accomadate you in any way for their mistakes or fit you in when it is their mistake. I have an extended warranty through Good Sams and will not be coming back if I keep reading reviews like we have. . We were out more money with traveling back and forth with gas and hotel fees and would have been better off going someplace else. They treat you like you are an ***

I just picked up my camper after having hot water heater and new eletric hitch. No one in the store explained a thing about the hitch or would take the time to show us. After habing difficulty getting the hitch on s very nice service guy attempted to help. In the end he got a service guy named Dave. He is amazing. He explained the electric hotch and even got a new break safety line. Which no one ever explained what the line was for Dave was the best setvi8 we have ever received there Way to give customer service Dave. Ever need help just ask for Dave. Only one there who really shows true customer service
